23rd February update: Corbett's WILD Jade Dragon Druid to LEGEND: Beating a Quest Mage meta?! (1080p)
The road to legend. Jade Golems. Dragons. Good times. This deck does well against aggro decks (due to armour and taunts). Beating Reno Quest Mages is so satisfying. You wanted to see evidence of it. Here it is. We do struggle against Mecha'thun decks.
Game #1: 2:20 Jade Druid My opponent was playing a more traditional Jade Druid deck. We raced to see who could build bigger golems.
Game #2: 16:50 Even Hunter Even Hunter at rank 2? Sure. The pressure from Jade Golems and Dragons was too much.
Game #3: 26:29 Even Shaman My opponent maintained a board state of totems that was low impact. That allowed me to survive long enough to win.
Game #4: 49:00 Malygos Rogue They couldn't get through the armour :)
Game #5: 55:48 Quest Mage! 1:08:50 Wait... it wasn't Iceblock?!
Game #6: 1:09:50 Togwaggle Priest A complex game. He stole my deck including Jade Idol. A last minute Ysera Unleashed AND the orignal Ysera gave me pressure at the end. Strangely, my opponent had Amara, but didn't play her. At 1:21:08 he thought Spreading Plague would save him. But we used Excavated Evil and Dream to get precise lethal. Such a beautiful ending.
Game #7: 1:21:50 The final boss - Quest Mage!
1:27:37 Put your faith in the light! 15 damage from the weapon is pretty good at lowering my armour count. Good strategy. I used a valuable Poison Seeds in response. Was that the right decision?
1:31:39 The Amazing Reno causes the board to disappear - this is where things would really start to get interesting,
1:32:08 The Amazing Reno gives Ancestral Spirit to one of my taunts.
1:33:15 How did I get so unlucky with my Dream Portals????
1:35:12 He plays the Dragon Queen before Time Warp - hmmm...
1:36:00 I feel compelled to use my final copy of Poison Seeds. Thankfully, I have Deathwing to deal with his giants later...
1:37:35 Psionic Probe steals JADE IDOL. Yes that really happened. I guess he won't be taking fatigue damage anymore.
1:41:45 Time Warp and Vargoth was pretty pathetic. Nothing much happened. 65 armour - I am not dieing.
1:42:05 The Amazing Reno casts Bloodbloom and now the Mage can't play a spell. HAHAHA. Those Jade Idols you stole are now useless ;-)
I'm getting beaten pretty badly at (bronze?) rank 3 while playing the Yasuo deck on the front page. Perhaps I'm playing it wrong or this just isn't a good deck for this level? Should I switch to an aggro deck?
that Yasuo is outdated after the nerfs. Inspiring Mentor was a huge part of its success and that guy isn't nearly as useful anymore.
Going aggro is always the best choice if you have limited cards. Spiders will always be good, but there's also the Noxus-Piltover aggro that doesn't even need champions.
Imo Lux still doesn't cut it. The value she can generate from 6 mana spells pales in comparison to Heimer. I think she should be cheaper with lowered stats, then she can be a "tempo" alternative to Heimer.
Finally!!!! I started playing MTG Arena recently, and have been wanting to play it for a while, but I don't use pc much often so didn't start playing earlier... Now this changes everything! 🙌🙌
Theres no upside to any of the game companies taking their product that was once so great and shitting all over it and leaving it out to dry, then shitting all over it again. So yes there is very well a system in place like that as game companies have the downs syndrome in the mind these days and only create dogshit. If Riot opened their eyes more than half way they might see the bigger picture.

With the way you guys rigged the shuffler Algorithm people can run 3-6 champions and maybe like 3-6 followers and 28+ spells. This isnt MTG, stop thinking it is. Control decks in MTG require multiple colors of mana, as well as the cards to deal with the board. A mentally handicapped child with no eyes and 33 IQ could play your version of a "Control" deck, please stop sipping off the special ed juice can and balance your fucking game holy shit. The fact you actually paid someone for the last set of balance changes, and then an even more special ed in the mind person was like "OH MAN THESE CHANGES LOOK GOOD I APPROVE". If the world was run by Riot we would be worse off than the stone age. How much do you require people to spend on the game to change the shuffler algorithm?

I'm far from an expert on what is currently meta in LoR, but as far as I know Yasuo decks are not that good right now. It all depends on whether you draw your key cards (mainly Yasuo) and if the opponent can answer your Yasuo. If they can, you probably lose, and if they can't, you probably win.
I think some of the strongest decks right now are control decks, like P&Z + Freljord using either Heimerdinger or Ezreal. However, I think aggro shadow isles decks are still pretty good and those might be a good option for low level climbing.
Of course, remember that this is still a card game and sometimes (or often, depending on your luck) you just can't win a game no matter what you do. And believe me, there are enough times where I would do well to remember that myself. :)
At Diamond+ a lot of decks can finish games by Turn 5 thanks to the new "Relentless Pursuit" abuse. Oddly enough, Heca might even be a bit too slow for the current meta.

Am I the only one who's a little sick of how prevalent Hecarim is on ladder right now?
The ironic thing is that before beta launched, I really wanted to make a legit Hecarim deck--you know, one that synergies on ephemerals and actively works to level him up instead of just slotting him for the +10 attack on Round 6--but between the fact I'm tired of seeing him and that the game refuses to gift me any free Hecarim (3 Elise 3 Kalista 2 Thresh 0 Hecarim QQ), it seems pretty pointless.
