  • Frostbite is the new problem child

    Quote From Bystekhilcar

That said, that's not what my previous post was about. My previous post was, more than anything, a plea to the player base. The first few thoughts you should have (in my opinion) when meeting a strong deck or seeing a powerful interaction should be 'how do I play around that in future' or 'how do I counter that'. Maybe even 'I want to try that for myself'. I really don't want people to jump straight to 'that should be nerfed!' because that restricts creative thinking and has a deleterious effect both on the game itself, and on the community around that game.

I agree that players should think that way, but I have accepted that many of them never will.

  • Set Rotations Will Happen in the Future for Legends of Runeterra - Support for Older Cards Uncertain

If it's so obvious, there's no reason for them not to acknowledge that it will exist.

Every other digital card game has sold randomized packs of cards, so "everyone else does it" is not exactly proof positive.

UHmm yeaah you know that control should beat aggro thats just normal ...

I'm pretty sure general consensus in the CCG community says the opposite (unless there's sarcasm in there which I'm not picking up on). Aggro plays a lot faster and thus can often overwhelm the control deck before the latter has a chance to stabilize. This is assuming we have roughly the same understanding of aggro, midrange, and control decks.

  • Weekly Card Design Competitions Return! A Guide to the New System

So after voting these last few days the only issue I've seen so far is fair number of too similar cards being created since they can't see what has already been pitched till they themselves are voting (i.e. the reno scheme cards). The only suggestion I can think of (besides players voting first before creating) is the 24-48 hour window of card feedback to minimize it.

  • Play 50 Battlecry minions to get 50 gold?!?!

I think it makes sense that its a 50 gold quest because you don't really have to go out of your way to complete it, unless all your decks do not have a single battle cry minion.

  • Faeria is Free on the Epic Games Store from February 20 - 27

I was one of people who downloaded the game way back in 2016 when it was in beta. It was mesmerizing. You had to think about so much more than in any other card game I've played - probably on par with MtG (that I've never played). You had to think about how you would create your own board and how to manage resources, as you could store unpsent mana to play larger cards and keep your units near mana wells which generate +1 income. But having to buy DLC to get more competetive saddens me.

Ah, they never covered that in the livestream, or if they did, huge mistake on my part.

    Thanks!

  • Set Rotations Will Happen in the Future for Legends of Runeterra - Support for Older Cards Uncertain

I don't like seeing old cards get rotated out, personally. Mainly because it can potentially ruin certain deck strategies in the future that I'm enjoying now. But I guess I'll have to live with it - assuming I'll continue to keep playing Runeterra until then.

  • Full Art Cards, A New Hearthstone Reward.

I don't like it, it will clutter your collection, also 1000 times is a lot of times..

Would rather have achievements with real rewards, have no interest in full arts, specially since you can view them online.

You still get 100 gold for completing the classic set lol.

The collection manager currently needs some kind of overhaul IMO. Like I shouldn't be seeing a regular and golden copy of a card, it'd be nice if they were on the same screen when you clicked the card. Also if you wanted, you could disenchant the "Vanilla" version of the cards once you've earned the full art versions.

The numbers can be played with, I just threw those out there as an example. But I do feel that these should not be easy to obtain, these are free after all.

We need achievements, period. Viewing full art in card form has its' appeal to certain people, if you don't find it interesting that's fine.

It's be nice to earn some sort of reward if you completed card sets as well.

You know what I think the achievements don't need to be tied to playing that card but in general(like draw X cards in priest to get the northshire) and then you could get alternate art which is quite more interesting.. and gold/packs to go with them (with the achievements). I know I wouldn't appreciate this kind of reward much but I think I sounded quite mean.. your ideas are great, I like reading it but we will see what blizzard actually does this year in a few days.. there won't be systematic changes until next year..

    An amazing idea.

Its practically is somewhat diminished by the fact that spells use a landscape border for their artwork, and minions use a more portrait-shaped border. This is still fantastic effort on your part, though.

Sorry if I'm a jerk for bringing this up, but, uhm... Mythgard does this. Regular and Prestige cards (which are full art like you described, btw) can be fused together while in the collection and deck builder, and if you double click/tap on it, there's an option to toggle between them (for crafting). The game also adds the prestige version of the card automatically of you have it (sadly, it doesn't replace it with a regular copy if you decide to dust it).

  • shards limit?

woah i didnt know it could be so high , guess i should take more notes on my computer classes XD thanks pal will keep hoarding my shards without worrying about a cap.

  • What is the story behind your username?

My initials are D. R., so when I made a hearthstone account I tried to think of something that started with D and ended with R. My brilliant mind came up with “destroyer”. It was supposed to be DestroyeR, but I somehow mistyped it and never changed it.

My avatar is the art for The Twitch King (get it?), the only time I edited an art for a custom card. It also looks absolutely majestic.

  • Play 50 Battlecry minions to get 50 gold?!?!

talking about daily quest i can't find a full list of them after the rework.

but i find it hard to believe that its 50g for 50 battlecry.

before the rework it was 50g for 20 battle cry and 100g for 50 battlecry.(after the 1st reworK)

My guess is you haven't played in a while and still have a old one?

Edit:I found the list its 60g and 20 battlecry and 100 gold for 50 now(after the 2nd rework)

  • Magic Announces Jumpstart - A Fusing of Contructed and Limited. Coming to Shelves and Arena This Year

You missed that the card will be legal in historic. So I assume you will keep them. Might want to add it in the article under legality.

"We also plan to bring this fun play experience to MTG Arena sometime this year! Jumpstart cards on MTG Arena will be legal in Historic."

  • Play 50 Battlecry minions to get 50 gold?!?!

just reroll 50g quest, unless you got that from rolling 60g quest. 60g is the highest quest you get on average. I'd say you have a very slim chances of getting more than 60g, but a very big chances of getting 50g.

So, based on that, never re-roll 60g quest.

  • Should hearthstone revamp the dusting system

    nice score. *Sarcasm*. ^^

    I love this community.

Anyway. If that how it works, then you, as a game developer would not survive. Players won't buy any more packs, and the economy would crumble.

  • Set Rotations Will Happen in the Future for Legends of Runeterra - Support for Older Cards Uncertain

Set Rotation is a brilliant euphemism for planned obsolescence.

  • What is the story behind your username?

I love RPG, Myth, etc. It's a common knowledge Undead is immune to almost anything, but they too have a weakness. Healing factor or holy water.

But what about Holy Undead? wouldn't that make said creature invincible? So there you go.

  • Should hearthstone revamp the dusting system

    Pro

I agree with the argument that the system can't be completely overturned, but what about a slight improvement? Something like this:

    rarity

    crafting costdisenchanting value
    legendary1.200300
    epic300100
    rare10025
    common405

I know the epic dust value is off scale, but I didn't want to add too many odd numbers. Keeping the epics as they are and changing only legendaries and rares would be another alternative. The point is making legendaries cheaper.

  • Planning on Hoarding Wildcards and Shards Before the Next Set Drops? Legends of Runeterra Won't Stop You

Personally, I'm neither looking to complete my collection of the base set at all cost, not do I plan to save up a lot for the 1st expansion. I simply don't use my crafting materials until I absolutely want a specific card (or further copies of said card) for a deck I'm building. So depending on how many different decks I feel like crafting over the next couple of weeks/months, I may end up with very few or a lot of crafting materials once the expansion arrives.

  • Should hearthstone revamp the dusting system

i think they should also use the wild cards system like LoR
