  • We're Giving Away 5 Galakrond's Awakening Adventures!

Best moment was when I thought Bran was pretty good and made a Hunter Highlander deck for memes.  Turns out it was pretty good.

In 2020, I would like a midranged Priest deck to work without ressurrect shenanigans.  A legit Dragon Priest maybe...?

  • We're Giving Away 5 Galakrond's Awakening Adventures!

My favorite moment in 2019 was finally getting Expired Merchant + Cruel Dinomancer to work.

In 2020 I'm looking forward to more love for the wild format.

  • We're Giving Away 5 Galakrond's Awakening Adventures!

My favourite moment from 2019 is reaching golden shaman short after Uldum realese. In this year I will going to achieve golden hunter soon and maybe rouge.

  • We're Giving Away 5 Galakrond's Awakening Adventures!

    1. That's easy. Hunterarce vs Viper is the quintessential Hearthstone battle. It looked like it came out from a YuGiOh anime episode. I still get chills rewatching that.

    2. Normally, I would say the expansions but not this time. I'm more excited about the mid-expansion gimmicks they have in store. Also, since Runeterra is launching this year I look forward to increase in rewards and/or discounts in packs.

  • We're Giving Away 5 Galakrond's Awakening Adventures!

The best moment for me was when battlegrounds got announced.  I freaking love it!

I'm looking forward to more content and am looking forward to more battlegrounds!

  • We're Giving Away 5 Galakrond's Awakening Adventures!

The best moment in 2019 for me was my pack opening in Rise of Shadows. I'm playing since beta and I was always extremely unlucky when I was opening packs. That time I opened 6 legendaries from 40 packs. I was super happy.

In 2020 I'm looking forward the new expansions. I really want the rotation to happen asap, cause as a Standard only player I will get a lot of dust :D. Also, I feel like the rotation will make the game feel fresh, cards that don't get much attention in this meta may rise up. :)

  • We're Giving Away 5 Galakrond's Awakening Adventures!

Best moment for me in 2019 is getting Dragonqueen Alexstrazsa and Kronx Dragonhoof from single pack.

What I am looking for about Hearthstone in 2020 is a game-mode which is the real casual mode that players can enjoy without 100g grinders and netdecks.

    Good luck people !

It was like that in one of swim's video so I remember from there.

That was the main argument for why skull was "bad" first of all you can have this with another card on the same turn, medivh is so much weaker than this.

If they waste Zephyr's on a ooze instead of lethal you are fine as a control shaman, you shouldn't base your whole deck around this card, but it is powerful.

People rate every card the same way: if the card doesn't win you the game it sucks.. Even if you cast only 3 cost spells you get 3/3s you know what 3 3/3s for 4 mana is really good, think tempo not your "omg win with 1 card" ..

but you do base your deck around the card because there's no other reason to even play Control Shaman right now.

This only fits into a deck that doesn't currently exist, meaning said deck will have to be built around it. otherwise it won't work.

Finally, we aren't in a meta where you just play cards that are good value. We play cards that further our gameplan, and just throwing out random minions is not advancing anything.

It's not that the card is bad, it's that there'S so much better you can do for that amount of Mana.

It'S the same reason a card like Gral, the Shark or Captain Hooktusk doesn't see play. They're pretty good cards, but they're still way below what you can actually do with other cards in your deck, so they aren't run.....and I say this as someone who'S desperately trying to shoehorn them in Highlander Rogue

gral is too slow and it doesn't really work with most rogue decks that want to activate combos (and that's why they run mostly low mana cost/stats minions)

hooktusk is a fine card saw some play it's just weaker since DoD came out since you can do more powerful stuff.

not the same, since shaman can run quite a lot of spells (with spirit of the frog) it's a great card in big shaman where you didn't quite had a mid game plan, soit might fit that deck.. shaman also is looking for another deck that isn't galakround seeing how the deck got all it's core cards nerfed except galakround itself..

what I am saying is that not every card is the deck defining card you can try to fit this card for example on another shell like big shaman that exists since RoS and was back then a deck, with a card like this it might become viable again cause it will have a mid game play where it didn't had one before.

random legendaries can fight for the board, you hex something? and get a nozdurmu? or a glass knight? that's great! you don't have to play a 01 mana spell for this card to work.. this is what I am saying 4 mid to low size minions for 4 is really good, the game plan is not losing the board while you have so many big stuff in the late game, that's a decent game plan.

I can feel your pain. But the fault is apple's. Last macbook I bought, damn them and the wars with developers and nvidia :(

  • Have a Wild Hearthstone Weekend with Fresh Decks!

That Highlander Shaman deck is literally a rip-off of Dane's Shudderwock The Runespear deck, and just removing copies to add the Galakrond package, making it more inconsistent, since the point was to get two or three more spears for maximum memes and RNG.

Flavor wise, thats kinda off for Anivia, isnt it? 🤔

Yeah, the level up requirement of dying, becoming Eggnivia, and resurrecting again certainly felt much more flavorful. It is a bit of a shame but I guess this was a case where balance was prioritized over flavor, which I can certainly understand.

On the other hand, Anivia being almost exclusively an offensive card always felt off since she is supposed to be like a protector of Freljord (at least as far as I know, I'm certainly not an expert when it comes to Runeterra lore). Her now being able to block feels more appropriate where that is concerned, and based on the stats that are visible here they might have reduced her attack (since the attack values shown are apparently buffed stats) and my guess is that means that they increased her health which can also be useful for blocking.

I defeated him using only 2 classes without grinding for all the treasures:

    - Start as Elise with the Starseeker Hero Power (cast 2 spells in a turn to add a Moonfire to your hand). Play until you get Jr. Navigator, keeping the board as clear as possible, but don't damage Tekahn (if he stays in his "first form" you don't have to worry about C'Thun and such).

    - When Elise dies, pick Reno. Once you draw Reno's Lucky Hat and Sorcerer's Apprentice you can combo them with the Jr. Navigator to gain infinite Spell Power and one shot Tekahn with a Moonfire.

I got it on my second try; good luck!

Thank you for this!!! I one-shotted Tekhan first try. My previous best attempt was getting him to 20 health.

People forget that MEdivh was played because the stick came with a 7/7 so you didn'T really lose any tempo.

This is a 4-mana do nothing.

Most good legendaries are at 8 or 10-mana. Shaman doesn't haven an 8-mana spell and only one 10-mana spell, which is incredibly slow as well.

5-mana is a bad spot full of terrible outcomes.

Only 6 could be reasonably considered, and I don't think running 4 spells total is enough (unless you run some weird big Shaman thing with Eureka or some BS)

Medivh was a lot harder to play alongside spells though. Since you're only paying for the stick here, you get a better one that can be played earlier or on the same turn you clear the board with a mid-cost spell.

Skull of the Man'ari was "5 mana do nothing" and it saw a ton of play in the top deck of the day. It's patently absurd to evaluate a card like this based on what it does on the turn it's played when the card is clearly designed to set up powerful subsequent turns.

but Skull was played with guaranteed outcomes and in a meta with very little weapon removal.  Right now we have Zephrys being in 3 common meta decks (and a few others) as well as enough weapons all around to justify running ooz (or even Stickyfinger).

  • Have a Wild Hearthstone Weekend with Fresh Decks!

Especially because Galakrond the Tempest and its package are now dreadfully weak.

  • Two New Hearthstone Cards Revealed, Confirming Leaks - Escaped Manasaber & The Fist of Ra-den

The main reason why the 6 mana 4/4 is considered bad while the 5 mana 4/4 is considered good is mainly because of the expected output of each of the mana costs. Considering how many minions have at least 5/5 worth of stats in the 6 mana pool, it would be expected to get stats better than a 4/4. If we look at the 5 mana legendaries, a lot of them have stats between being a 5/5 to a 4/4 and since your spending less mana on the spell, it's only natural to expect less of a payout in terms of stats.

Another important thing is that even though I have it labeled as bad doesn't always mean "if you get this stuff constantly then the weapon is worthless". If we look at the 10 mana slot, both king phaoris and nozari are listed as bad, but if your playing Eye of the storm when you have this weapon out, you would still be getting 3 5/6 taunts and either another 5/5 or a 4/12, which both I would say are good things to happen, it's just that compared to the rest of the cards there, these two are lackluster.

That being said, I'm glad you still enjoyed it and everything!

  • 12 Invokes in 1 Turn OTK!

Because there's six 2 Mana weapons, not two. Brann Bronzebeard + Rummaging Kobold x2 will give you 4 weapons, plus the 2 choppers you start with is a total of 6.

  • Have a Wild Hearthstone Weekend with Fresh Decks!

A little consideration on the last one: unfortunately Galakrond and The Runespear don't have great synergy.
If you were to drop the former (with all its package) I'd recommend swapping Rummaging Kobold for [Hearthstone Card (Loot Pillager) Not Found] in order to have your The Runespear autoequipped a couple more times without spending your whole turn.
