It's a versatile Invoke card which is good. It's not overstat'ed for what it does and it's similar to Glacial Shard with Rush, and that card saw play. This seems to be an auto-include for Galakrond Shaman.
This does indeed feel like a more balanced Tunnel Trogg. Overload Shaman seems to be a viable style for the class with the new support it got. More midrang-y with Earth Elementals perhaps.
Till we get a good elemental like Blazecaller and amazing elemental synergy this wont see much action but it has pretty good stats though on average it will be araound 5-6/3 and its a early threat against control decks ok card.
Big Druid that uses Tokens? Idk how to fit this card lol
I don't think Spells that summon minions count. But Big Druid is indeed a very interesting concept. Summon a 10 mana minion, get another 10 mana minion for free because of the sidequest. This might be viable with some sort of Dragon core and cards like Breath of Dreams which ramps.
This card might fit into Quest Shaman just because of the strong Invoke effect. However, Quest Shaman does not want to lose his hero power by playing Galakrond too early. Playing Shudderwock after [Hearthstone Card (Galarond, the Tempest) Not Found] for a second pair of 8/8 elementals will be a nice combo.
It only takes 1 Dragon to make this passable, and 2 makes it pretty scary. More than that and its a huge beatdown. That said, its not a Dragon itself and the number of non-Dragons you can run in any dragon deck is limited. So this will battle many other cards and may not find a home.
This works with the new Mage sidequest without giving up Spells for weak elementals. The Arcane Missiles you get are a bit slower, but you'll get a free 1/1 in return. Kinda reminds me off Shimmerfly a bit, except you'll no what card you'll get (rip highrolling). I think this card is good enough to see play in the majority of Mage decks.
This isn't a great 1 drop for most classes, but most classes aren't Rogue. This offers a lot of great options for combo and so its likely to see some level of play. The pirate tag doesn't mean a ton, but its not awful.
Strong card but hard to play on curve since Corrupt Elementalist has the same mana cost. Worse case scenario this is a Feral Spirit with the Overload cost added to the overall cost already, which isn't the end of the world. The value can be amazing though, and therefor it will see play in Galakrond Shaman, if that deck is to see play in Standard. It faces rough competition though from the very strong Corrupt the Waters.
This card is interesting. Its almost always better than Competitive Spirit, but it doesn't compare all that favorably to Mark of the Lotus or Storm's Wrath which you have much more control over. That said, Paladin is and has always been one of the best token classes, and in wild in particular. IDK if this will end up seeing much play in standard or Arena.
Very strong card, and probably the strongest Invoker since it has good stats on top of the Invoke effect. Galakrond Priest seems the weakest though, but if it is to be viable, this card will see play for sure. It's a good early minion to contest Aggro decks, should slower Combo versions arise.
A very powerful Invoker for sure, but it seems very slow. The stats are also underwhelming, but that is the case for most of the Invoker cards. If this would be 1 mana cheaper (at the cost of -1/-1 stats) it could've been played on curve with Dragon's Pack which would have been insanely strong. Overall though, I think this card will be staple in Galakrond Shaman should that deck see competitive play.
Both the hero power and the battlecry fit into aggro warrior. However, pirate warrior might be stronger without this card, because adding Galakrond, the Unbreakable and a couple of Invoke cards to this deck could make it to inconsistent.
Those 1/1 Pirates are obvious good combo activators, but I don't think you would run those over Lackeys. Pirate Rogue might become a viable archetype though, as in the past Aggro variants of the class pulled of that approach quite successfully. I still need to get my Valeera to a 1k portrait, so fast decks are appreciated for the climb. Lets wait and see if Pirates are the way to go for that.
Definitely a better Dragon than Nithogg for Shaman. I can see this deck being run, not only in Dragon decks (if that is even going to excist), but in Midrang-y Shaman, with an Overload package. Maybe we will also see the return of Earth Elemental. Most likely though, a pure Aggro version of Overload Shaman will prevail and this card will not be used, but we'll have to wait and see for that. Overall I think this card is solid.
New Shaman Spell - Invocation of Frost
It's a versatile Invoke card which is good. It's not overstat'ed for what it does and it's similar to Glacial Shard with Rush, and that card saw play. This seems to be an auto-include for Galakrond Shaman.
New Neutral Minion - Living Dragonbreath
on average worse than Fire Hawk effect is way too niche another random tech card in this expansion.
New Shaman Minion - Surging Tempest
This does indeed feel like a more balanced Tunnel Trogg. Overload Shaman seems to be a viable style for the class with the new support it got. More midrang-y with Earth Elementals perhaps.
New Neutral Minion - Sathrovarr
Can be playable in some decks, but very difficult to pull out a combo.
New Neutral Minion - Fire Hawk
Till we get a good elemental like Blazecaller and amazing elemental synergy this wont see much action but it has pretty good stats though on average it will be araound 5-6/3 and its a early threat against control decks ok card.
New Druid Spell - Strength in Numbers
I don't think Spells that summon minions count. But Big Druid is indeed a very interesting concept. Summon a 10 mana minion, get another 10 mana minion for free because of the sidequest. This might be viable with some sort of Dragon core and cards like Breath of Dreams which ramps.
New Shaman Hero - Galakrond, the Tempest
This card might fit into Quest Shaman just because of the strong Invoke effect. However, Quest Shaman does not want to lose his hero power by playing Galakrond too early. Playing Shudderwock after [Hearthstone Card (Galarond, the Tempest) Not Found] for a second pair of 8/8 elementals will be a nice combo.
New Shaman Minion - Surging Tempest
This seems to be a much less broken version of Tunnel Trogg, but it still looks good.
New Neutral Minion - Wing Commander
It only takes 1 Dragon to make this passable, and 2 makes it pretty scary. More than that and its a huge beatdown. That said, its not a Dragon itself and the number of non-Dragons you can run in any dragon deck is limited. So this will battle many other cards and may not find a home.
New Mage Minion - Violet Spellwing
This works with the new Mage sidequest without giving up Spells for weak elementals. The Arcane Missiles you get are a bit slower, but you'll get a free 1/1 in return. Kinda reminds me off Shimmerfly a bit, except you'll no what card you'll get (rip highrolling). I think this card is good enough to see play in the majority of Mage decks.
New Rogue Minion - Bloodsail Flybooter
This isn't a great 1 drop for most classes, but most classes aren't Rogue. This offers a lot of great options for combo and so its likely to see some level of play. The pirate tag doesn't mean a ton, but its not awful.
New Shaman Spell - Dragon's Pack
Strong card but hard to play on curve since Corrupt Elementalist has the same mana cost. Worse case scenario this is a Feral Spirit with the Overload cost added to the overall cost already, which isn't the end of the world. The value can be amazing though, and therefor it will see play in Galakrond Shaman, if that deck is to see play in Standard. It faces rough competition though from the very strong Corrupt the Waters.
New Paladin Spell - Righteous Cause
This card is interesting. Its almost always better than Competitive Spirit, but it doesn't compare all that favorably to Mark of the Lotus or Storm's Wrath which you have much more control over. That said, Paladin is and has always been one of the best token classes, and in wild in particular. IDK if this will end up seeing much play in standard or Arena.
New Warrior Hero - Galakrond, the Unbreakable
How many upgrades can each Galakrond take?
How many Invokes do we need per deck?
New Priest Minion - Disciple of Galakrond
Very strong card, and probably the strongest Invoker since it has good stats on top of the Invoke effect. Galakrond Priest seems the weakest though, but if it is to be viable, this card will see play for sure. It's a good early minion to contest Aggro decks, should slower Combo versions arise.
New Shaman Minion - Corrupt Elementalist
A very powerful Invoker for sure, but it seems very slow. The stats are also underwhelming, but that is the case for most of the Invoker cards. If this would be 1 mana cheaper (at the cost of -1/-1 stats) it could've been played on curve with Dragon's Pack which would have been insanely strong. New Neutral Minion - Wasteland Scorpid
He was too slow for this summer meta.
New Neutral Minion - Tasty Flyfish
Someone should found a murloc union, these guys only get the worst jobs.
New Neutral Minion - Mischief Maker
Recently unpacked this. Oh if only this were more than one measly card.
Gyrocopter
Broken if a strong aggressive mech deck emerges
New Neutral Minion - Fire Hawk
A premature tech card! If handlock gets to dangerous, this bird will feed upon it!
New Shaman Spell - Storm's Wrath
Quest Murloc don't need Dragons this Winter.
New Shaman Minion - Squallhunter
Definitely a better Dragon than Nithogg for Shaman. I can see this deck being run, not only in Dragon decks (if that is even going to excist), but in Midrang-y Shaman, with an Overload package. Maybe we will also see the return of Earth Elemental. Most likely though, a pure Aggro version of Overload Shaman will prevail and this card will not be used, but we'll have to wait and see for that.
