  • Kripparrian Hosting the Final Card Reveal Stream for Descent of Dragons

I was already wondering why Kripp didn't get a card reveal video, this makes so much sense! I really hope Kripp makes a few RNG,  "Streamsnipe" & Never Lucky Jokes.  Looking forward to the card reveal stream! Looks like lots of fun and salt!

  • New Card Reveal - Platebreaker (ARMOR DESTRUCTION)

HS breaking new ground - armor tech card.

Have to admit was pretty surprised when I saw this card this morning.  Armor classes are still likely fine as long as they don't dominate the meta as it's seems unlikely opponent will run this otherwise.  Even then unless they can kill you quick your armor is still effectively healing.

  • Kripparrian Hosting the Final Card Reveal Stream for Descent of Dragons

Yep, I think Kripp has some good content, at least in his Youtube, I´ve only watched a couple of live streams during large pack oppenings and expansion releases.

I wish Kibler were revealing the dragons expansion, but it will still take a while for the Honk Kong wound to heal between him and Blizz. I am 100% behind what he wrote and the way he did it, but I still think its a loss for us, the community.

Anyways, as a mostly wild player, end-of-year expansions always hype me more, due to the blatant powercreep. That and the fact that they are pushing dragon trybe synergy (and some singleton), which have more options in Wild.

  • New Neutral Minion - Platebreaker (Armor Destruction)

this is insane. honestly i feel this is unhealthy for the game, 30 damage OTKs are more and more viable now and this card sets them up perfectly the turn before.

  • New Warrior Minion - EVIL Quartermaster

Really good card but warrior doesn't get anything for playing lackeys. There still isn't really any lackey synergy in the class

  • New Neutral Minion - Cobalt Spellkin

I'm not a really big fan of this card. Losing to this will feel so bad, while getting useless results also feels bad.

  • Two New Cards Revealed - Cobalt Spellkin, EVIL Quartermaster

Cobalt Spellkin: Ehh. Could be solid in theory, but in practice I suspect 5 mana is too much to be spending for a random effect with relatively low value. 3/5 has historically been too weak a statline for a 5-drop to be playable without a very strong effect alongside it, and I don't think this is strong enough.

Evil Quartermaster: Another ehh. Not incredible, but a Lackey for 1 is well-established as being reasonable in the right deck. The question is, will Warrior have the right deck? 2/3 with a 3 armour battlecry is decent for a defensive early game, too. Trouble with the card as I see it is that it feels like an anti-aggro card with Lackey generation bolted on, and it doesn't really fit easily into any deck. Dragon Control is going to be too tight a list, it's not aggressive enough for Tempo, and pure Control doesn't really have a win condition at this point.

    RIP Kibler Dragon.

  • Platebreaker

This is incredibly good card. It's great for wild for Tekhal molten giant stuff or insane armor gain decks that exist in wild. In standard it will be AMAZING vs control warrior. Good job Blizz this card is just awesome

Yes, Kripp is a bit flat while streaming, but he brings some energy to his YouTube intros (granted, they're rarely longer than a few minutes) so I think he CAN be energetic. I hope he sprinkles some salt in, but with the devs right there it'll probably be as a joke, nothing serious. "Never lucky" is literally in his name (nl_Kripp).

And here I was never understanding why he had the abreviation of the Netherlands (NL) in his username ...
Glad that mistery finally got solved ...

    First, me break their PLATE.

    Then, me break their FACE.

    SMOrc

  • Platebreaker

a underwhelming ooze i don't know, its an arena card and nothing more.

  • EVIL Quartermaster

Lackeys are good, if you need a lackey generator you maybe gonna put on a deck, but 2/3 for 3 mana even with the lackey and the armor it's not good enough. this card it's kinda bad and feels bad to play.

  • Bronze Explorer

I love the design! A Dragon that discovers a Dragon and has lifesteal. It might even be run in decks that are not Dragon oriented.

  • Cobalt Spellkin

I think it's a medium arena card, but it's not good enough to the meta decks, its a weak dragon and a bad card generator besides spell mage archetype

  • Bronze Explorer

with the power level of cards and dragons in this expansion, this card it's crazy good, for arena it's the top pick card for paladins, and will fit fine in any pally deck except aggro. but discover a card it's always good and discover a dragon it's incredibly strong.

  • Battlegrounds Update - Mike Donais Reveals What to Expect in the Next Patch

Future Team 5: "Hey, we were thinking of bringing some Wild cards back into Standard for a few-"

Emotionally scarred post-Doom in the Tomb HS players: "NO!"

As for the BGs changes, I'm not sure if +2/+1 is enough of a nerf; the power comes more from affecting all minion types. Still, nerfing +Health is more impactful than +Attack. If Blizzard keeps updating BGs relatively quickly, as they have been, then these small, iterative changes can work. If it's not enough of a nerf, keep going until it is.

I'm excited to try King Bagurgle, though I forgot what the other new minion will be. I have no idea who the heroes will be, either, but I hope they're interesting and worthy of consideration when picking.

  • Mindflayer Kaahrj

I know, there are huge differences between them...
But MF still a big threat on the board that forces opponent into tough choices and awkward situations, especially when tempo-played on curve at T3.

"to trade or not to trade" shenanigans

It should have been like "Kripparian, Dean Ayala and Kibler"

Yes, I don't like that Chris guy. Kripp and Kibler are already like Blizzard employees, They don't be askew if they both will be in the stream.

I mean... Kibler, like most casters, is a free agent. He's also probably in Blizzard's bad books right now due to the whole Hong Kong thing

It may actually be the reverse. Kibler doesn't need the money and he may be refusing appearances with Blizzard, as he was the one who quit casting over the Blitzchung incident.

  • Platebreaker

    Pro

Will be very good for Wild, but not see much play in Standard. I'm glad this exists.

  • Stormhammer

    i can't argue with that.

  • Mindflayer Kaahrj

You are rigth, i didn't see in that way, i really like priest but im kinda annoyed about this meta priest decks because i don't think it's fun at all, but a card like this makes me think that maybe we gonna have a new fun priest archetype to play. =D

  • New Card Reveal - Platebreaker (ARMOR DESTRUCTION)

    Why are you insulting me.

Second. It's clearly an auto include not a tech card because it is not printed like a tech card is. Tech cards have functions and are poorly statted . This is not. And in case you forget gheist was played against more classes that just druid. You should just stop replying now because no matter how much you make fun of me or call me names it wont change my opinion of this card.

  • New Card Reveal - Platebreaker (ARMOR DESTRUCTION)

Firstly, I would suggest you review the tone of your posts in this thread, because you're not coming across well.

Secondly, a common theme in tech cards is that they're low cost. If you're running tech, you want it to be easily playable alongside the rest of your game plan when you're facing an opponent that you're not teching for. Five mana is a lot to be spending on vanilla stats in a non-armour matchup.

Thirdly, barely anyone ran Thekal in the first place. Aside from the initial expansion period, he saw niche play in a few variants, and even that has fallen off over time.

Fourthly, I will say that my initial impulse was a knee-jerk 'oh god, armour-gain decks are dead', as a long-standing Control Warrior player. But realistically, that's not the case. Wild Odd Warrior is probably dead, but aside from that there's nothing massively dependent on a huge armour stack around anymore, at least not at 5-legend. And given the cost of this card and the relative rarity with which it will encounter something it actually cares about teching against, I'm not even sure it'll kill Odd Warrior, frankly. Aggro will not want to run a vanilla 5/5 - FAR too heavy for them to run unless their local meta absolutely forces them into it - so you're basically just looking at combo.

Fifthly, and finally, there is some good coming of this. It does add more decisions to make for Warrior players, because if you judge your opponent as likely to have teched this you now have to make a more legitimate judgment call on Shield Block. No more 'eh, 3 mana, may as well cycle the Shield Block'. Now it's more likely to function as what I assume it was always intended to be - short-term armour burst.

  • Kripparrian Hosting the Final Card Reveal Stream for Descent of Dragons

I like Kripp fine, but he's got a very flat tone when he streams - seems like an odd choice for a hype man, but at least he's good at the game and will be able to showcase the decks well in play.
