Outside of the dedicated archetype I could see this being played as just itself for extra ressources. COuld be good in Relic Dh if you get it for free from the Relic.
Seems okay but I don't think a full outcast build is gonna be that good and without going full outcast this will rarely be discounted to (0) fast enough to matter.
Doesn't look that good. It's Emerald Skytalon except sometimes it sets up a future play but most of the time you won't be able to control the circumstances to make this always activate its effect.
It's probably just because it has a simple effect. It's just an Arcanite Reaper + lifesteal after all. Other than how easy they are to obtain, there's really no distinction between commons, rares and epics, and Doomhammer and Gorehowl have long established the precedent of important weapons not needing to be legendary.
Finally, if you think Corrupted Ashbringer ought to have had a more complicated effect, it's worth remembering the Ashbringer we already have in HS is just a 5/3, so corrupting it to trade 1 durability for lifesteal seems flavourful enough to me.
More hand attacks. Are they trying to make constructrd into Arena or what? This is retarded.
I could not agree more. Years ago they talked about class identity, but nowadays that is all over the place.
Introducing more and more hand disruption is very frustrating. Seems like this is their only answer to combat their own mistakes of releasing broken cards in the (recent) past, present and future.
Are we still playing the same game as before? I really wonder.
Yeah, seems like they are just justifying broken effects with hand/deck attacks and making the possible broken combos and standalone cards not consistent, creating extreme highs and lows when you get to pull it off or not. *tinfoil hat on* Might be a calculated design strategy they want to push, not just a byproduct of whatever they are doing. *tinfoil hat off*
Its to juice Wretched Exile. Not really worth anything else in standard because the stats is bad and Skull of Gul'dan is no longer here.
The outcast cards currently lacks a finisher, which is why this card can't really do much more than add more outcast cards for exile to get even more outcast cards. Its very likely that even if wretched exile works as well as it looks, this card wouldn't even be a winning card in the deck.
In WoW, Warriors had several abilities to combat magic users. Pummel and Shield Bash would both silence a magic user if they were casting a spell. Spell Reflect would also redirect the first spell casted onto you back to the caster.
I know a lot of players haven't played WoW, but this fits their identity. Shieldbreakers are Silvermoon's city guards and they're trained to counter and combat magic and magic users alike.
There's a lot of reasons to believe this card to be playable in all but relic decks. 2 damage for 1 mana, and the next outcast card cost 1 less. If ever there's a nice support card for a bad description this card would be it.
If the outcast archetype works, this card would be one of the main reasons. Just a cheap solid card to continue the train.
But unlike that card, this one has a fair chance of actually making a deck tier 2. There's a good deal of cheap outcast cards and with Fierce Outsider you may be able to get somewhere around 4 cards from turn 5-7. That's good enough to juice Vengeful Walloper to at least playable levels.
Just lacks a finisher, but there may yet be one unrevealed.
There is a likelyhood that it may happen because of Wretched Exile. Most of the current crop of outcast cards are fairly cheap, with 3 out of 10 outcast cards currently costing 1. The most awkward outcast card being Vengeful Spirit.
Reminds me of combo rogue back in DoD. But obviously outcast is far less powerful compared to combo. We'll have to hands on the deck to feel it ourselves, but seems like the archetype itself lacks a finisher.
Hmm, I'm on the fence about DH suddenly being allowed a bunch of card generation... but I'll let it pass since it is specifically for outcast cards which have some natural synergy with generated cards being added to the far right of your hand. Plus, if this finally finds a way for the mechanic to make sense in slower decks, then that's definitely a good thing.
In Standard atm there not really that many arcane spells to abuse this legendary so atm it's just the Arcane Bolt OTK and with the infamous Theotar still prevalent, that combo might not see play. It's still a decent affect and can be utilized in the future when new sets come out.
New Warrior Spell - Last Stand
Remember Predatory Instincts
yeah that was a card that existed
lol
New Demon Hunter Minion - Wretched Exile
Outcast DH players be like
"My day be so fine
Then boom, Vengeful Spirit."
New Demon Hunter Minion - Felerin, the Forgotten
Outside of the dedicated archetype I could see this being played as just itself for extra ressources. COuld be good in Relic Dh if you get it for free from the Relic.

New Demon Hunter Minion - Wretched Exile
Sounds good on paper but I'm not entirely convinced that you can just win off of generating floods of cards draw and lifesteal.
How many offensive outcast cards even are there?
All March of the Lich King Card Reveals for Day 10
Now should be fixed, thank you for the swift notice!

Would work well against most Secrets (except Objection) too.

It is, but I don't think they could realistically do it any other way.

Didn't know that, but giving them hand disruption is pretty crazy

Outcast is a cool keyword but making it an archetype doesn't make sense to me. If everything is outcast then nothing is an outcast.
