I am happy that they provided some compensation for the brawl, and I don't care if i don't get the 300 gold. At least I get some packs.
What I am sad about is that the android client was messed up for more than a month and there was no compensation for that. Since it happened before the brawl, I guess I should not expect anything like that.
That is weird now that you mention it. They probably dont have a way to track people that played via mobile though.
Caught Funki's stream and he's been optimizing this list a bit. I don't have it on me but he eschews both copies of Soul Infusion and goes for more minions. I know he's got a Murmy and Hungry Crab in there.
He's obviously way too lazy to update his list. (juuuuuuust kidding Funki)
I suppose this card consider only your opponent's turns and not yours.
A big difference is when the sidequest is completed, basically if the minion can attack right away. For example i started first and at turn 2 play this, my opponent on his second turn heropowers and emotes "the light shall burn you!" so the sidequest activates, and i get the minion, does the minion spawn at the end of my opponent turn (it can attack) or at the start of mine (it can't attack)?
I think the card is good if played and activated very early, but later it doesn't seem that good at all, because it will be harder to activate and the 3/6 with taunt will not be so strong anymore
I'm definitely going to try it to protect my big Pogo-Hoppers from single-target removal. It's not even bad if you are forced to play it on an empty board!
Hell yes, more Control Paladin! I think this card will be very meta dependent. If there's a lot of aggro or midrange running around it could be hard to pull off aside from Time Out turns. Hunter, Mage, Rogue, and maybe Galakrond Aggro Warrior specifically can make this rather difficult to complete.
I don't think this will see any play except to mess with Res decks. Neat idea, but ultimately doesn't have the stats to match the effect. Another nutty Desert Hare evolution though.
To me, the most interesting thing about Sanctuary is that it's a 2 mana quest (whereas all the previous quests and side quests have been 1 mana). The most obvious synergy here is with Time Out! in a Shirvallah Paladin deck as a way to decrease the cost of Shirvallah, the Tiger while stalling your opponent for more than the one turn Time Out! gets you.
It may also be relevant in a more aggressive Paladin deck that's hoping to get this down on turn 2 in order to get a big, early taunt wall between the enemy and smaller minions, but I'm not totally convinced by that. Playing this on turn 2 means you're not immediately developing the board - in that scenario, your turn one minion can attack, but any subsequent minions (including this taunt) won't be able to attack until turn 4 due to summoning sickness. That's a lot of turns to spend not attacking in a style of deck that typically wants to get early value trades to snowball to a victory on turns 5 and 6.
There is a lot of referencing to shuffling and getting bigger stats, so Jade Idol does make sense. But if it isn't that then Pogo-Hopper seems like the next card to pick.
You've got it right! The "buff" was a reference to the cost reduction from 2 to 1 mana. Looking forward to your next riddle
They are really inconsistent sometimes! I get that sometimes they want flavour with the wording - like adapt, then adapt again sort of thing. But clarity is king!
Aside the control/taunt/time out, this may see play in aggro palladin, of all places. Coin this is a valid T1 play and a very nice way of assuring you don´t take damage is to have board control and force your opponent to trade. If a mage is pinging an aggro pally every turn to deny a 3/6, it won´t have mana to fight back the other treaths aggro pally trows at Jaina.

Edit: Oh wait, there is also Astral Tiger, Immortal Prelate and Anub'arak. But can't say which one tho.

It breaks the numeric scheme.
All quests cost 1, so did all sidequests, so far.
It's like having a 2-cost Lackey.

I mean, Rat Trap is a 2 mana 6/6 that you always have to play around. Not a big deal if it causes some "stress" IMO.
