Its a much needed and much late counter to big priest. If the 3 minnions average 2 attack, this is a very week 3/3, so you need some effort to abuse opponent´s minnions, which I don´t think will be worth it.
I liked the wording although it is a bit complicated tbh. It is like "Teach 2 spells to it" of Swampqueen Hagatha. I like texts like this in this kind of games tbh. It is a digital card game, not a physical card game and you can always clarify things with pop-ups or sth like that. If that was a physical card game i can understand all of the whines about consistency of texts in hearthstone but I find them a bit pointless. Game already automatically do the effects for you. You don't need to make it work like in a physical card game. This kind of inconsistency is fair enough for a digital game tbh.
Thanks for clarifying. As for the idea that vague wording isn't a problem: it's less of a concern than paper card games, sure, but it's still a negative. if you have two cards, one which is intelligible from the card text and one that has to be played in order for a player to get what it does, the latter is clearly worse from a card formatting perspective.
And to be clear, I get that there are cases where they can't spell out exactly what a card does, what all the options are, etc. But I get the sense that they're not even trying with this set. The Galakronds are all horribly formatted, so is mr. Galakrond enabler here and there have been an additional 3-4 cards revealed so far that are unintelligibly or ambiguously worded. They absolutely could have fit the word "discover" into Kronx' text box.
I can understand your concerns but what I'm trying to say is that "Unleash a Devastation" is funnier than, "Discover a Devastation. Cast it". Also In my opinion, it doesn't even mislead because if it was random, they can easily word it like "Unleash a random Devastation." but they worded it as "Unleash a devastation."
Also Discover mechanic always gives you 3 options. This kind of cards, (see Kalimos, Primal Lord) gives you 4 options. When you consider there is a card as Kalimos, Primal Lord, Kronx Dragonhoof can even be counted consistent. "Unleash" word is used here instead of "Cast" and in my opinion, it gives the same meaning.
I have meant pop-ups that gives some information by saying "you can understand what card does by playing". That was not actual play what I meant. I meant that; In collection, they might create a pop-up system that shows what card does, What tokens are given when you play it etc. But you're right. Blizzard have never been so new player friendly at past. Noone has to follow pages like this or noone has to check the reveals all the time. The game must give all of the information about a card when you open it and playing it without checking web for information about the game and truth is, We can't see the tokens that Kalimos, Primal Lord can cast by checking the collection and I'm sure we will not be able to see for this card either. The pop-ups should ("must" in my opinion) be in the game. Maybe you can say that the programming system of hearthstone doesn't let it. But;
In past, I have opened a thread here, that was about more deck slots and people defended Blizzard by telling me that Hearthstone's programming system doesn't let them do, doesn't let them create new UI or sth like that. After that we saw Battlegrounds and how they can actually build around the UI. So noone can defend Blizzard anymore after that battlegrounds UI. So that means, they are able to do that pop-ups I called above.
Anyways, the topic brings me the place I don't want to discuss right now. I just wanted to say that card seems consistent to me when I see Kalimos, Primal Lord in existence.
I think this will be strong in a midrange dragon paladin in standard. Its a solid body, can help against aggro and even ensure a 3-for-1 healing another body after a favorable trade.
It may be used on wild´s big rogue, since it cheats out dethrattles but does not pollute N´Zoth´s res pool. If combo is active, its a +1 health over a neutral card draw, with added tutor effect.
As with the Crazed Netherwing, its a very strong card if the sinergy hits, but so far I don´t think warlocks will be a dragon class in standard or wild.
There is a lot of referencing to shuffling and getting bigger stats, so Jade Idol does make sense. But if it isn't that then Pogo-Hopper seems like the next card to pick.
This is much likely a 5/5 card. tutoring a card with those stats is already good, and with all the deathratle help that rogue already has, this will deffenetly see play.
My one concern is the new cards restriction this creates, as every time a new OP deathratle comes out, everyone is going to abuse it with this.
If it hits, its a VERY powerfull guy. Despite that, I think there won´t be enough tools for control warlock in standard. In wild, I don´t think warlocks will include dragons, so its in an akward space.
This quest seems pretty powerful, playing this on turn 2, or 1 with coin will make your opponent have to hero power on their turn 2 to avoid letting you have a big minion too early. Later in the game it might feel a bit awkward on both players part, but I don't have a doubt that there will be some paladin deck that wants to play this (there are already a couple of existing paladin decks you would want to put this in).
I don't think it is a very good design though, it just feels so bad to your opponent, imagine playing a warrior and then you miss your 1 drop so now you have to deal with a 3/6 taunt on turn 2. This card just seems to unfair to classes that don't have a way to deal damage with their hero power.
Like sure, it's definitely going to be used in Dragon paladin (however that deck is going to turn out eventually), but it's not like Paladin desperately needs heals.
I'd rather get some rush or taunt dragons to be used with Dragonspeaker and the other legendary. I guess this means we're really doubling down on the whole "handbuff big bois and survive until you can play them" strategy, which makes Sand Breath so much more confusing.
Agreed that the card is boring, albeit good. but with the new legendary Dragonrider Talritha, and other cards like Dragon Speaker, a midrange dragon deck can easily appear, where you win if you just keep playing and buffing dragons. For this to work you cant play with expensive dragons, 6 cost is the most you should go for.
Also, healing in midrange can be better than most think, by either buying you a turn, or healing one of your big minions.
It obviously refers to your opponent's turn. There is little to no chance, that you would rather inflict damage to yourself (clearing let's say a 1-drop on turn 2), than having an almost free 3/6 with Taunt on board next turn.
I calculated the average attack value of a 1-cost minions in standard and I got 1.06060606061 (we'll just say 1.06 for simplicity sake).
This means that most of the time this will end up being a 4 mana 3/6 or 3/5 taunt. If most of the time this minion will end up with a very similar stat/cost distributions as Sen'jin Shieldmasta then why not just play Sen'jin Shieldmasta? It is just not worth the risk of letting your opponent get 3 extra bodies on the field.
The only way this card can ever be good is if your opponent already has a full board (in which case you wouldn't want a slightly beefy taunt, but rather a board clear) or if you really need a good way to counter big priest (which you don't right now, and even if you did a better idea would be to play cards like Hex, Devolve, and Plague of Murlocs).
All in all I just don't think this card will ever be worth it. There is just far too much risk involved, maybe once every twenty times you play this you will roll Swamp Dragon Egg, Blood Imp, and Spirit of the Raptor but there is just no way whatsoever that this card will be played in any sort of competitive deck (or a non-competitive deck for that matter).
I don't know. Ever since paladin received a nerf in equality, the famous equality consecration combo stoped beeing played in almost all decks, exeptions made for those looking to discount shivala.
Now, Hunter is by nature agressive. So either this is played for tempo, allowing 1-2 better trades, or wont be played at all, since hunter cant wait for turn 7+ to play a two card combo for board clear.
As fantastic as the effect can be, with a great body even, the card came to the wrong class, and so, won't see much play.
Nice big minion based removal for Warrior. If this thing survives with even 1 health point, it could force many decks to over commit in order to remove it.
Obviously will see home in a Dragon based deck, could also possibly be played in a Control deck also but there are currently lots of more efficient methods of AoE for Warrior.
Zul'Drak Ritualist

New Warlock Spell - Nether Breath
It's even wrong to judge this without the dragon effect, since by those standarts half of the dragons that shaped the meta in the past would be crap.
With that in mind, this together with Crazed Netherwing can make a extremly aggressive dragonlock.
Kronx Dragonhoof
This will be an auto-include in standard Galakrond decks, at least a couple of which I think will be meta.
Camouflaged Dirigible
Nice combo potential with Voltron, but will be mostly wild memes.
Hot Air Balloon
Maybe the growing effect can be abused by aggro decks. I think we will see a lot of things magnetized onto that.
Veranus
I don´t think hunters can benefit from an equality effect. It can be a clear with Unleash, but thats waaaay to optimistic (and 9 mana).
Zul'Drak Ritualist
Might be decent in Arena.
New Neutral Minion - Kronx Dragonhoof
I can understand your concerns but what I'm trying to say is that "Unleash a Devastation" is funnier than, "Discover a Devastation. Cast it". I think this will be strong in a midrange dragon paladin in standard. Its a solid body, can help against aggro and even ensure a 3-for-1 healing another body after a favorable trade.
Sanctuary
I think you really get the value in Arena...unless you're facing hunter.
Necrium Apothecary
It may be used on wild´s big rogue, since it cheats out dethrattles but does not pollute N´Zoth´s res pool. If combo is active, its a +1 health over a neutral card draw, with added tutor effect.
New Warlock Minion - Crazed Netherwing
Finally, what started as a joke in the beggining of Rise of Shadows shall now be a dream come true; My dragonlock barista omega agent control deck!
7/5 best dragon so far. Not best card because aparently Kronx Dragonhoof is a thing.
Nether Breath
As with the Crazed Netherwing, its a very strong card if the sinergy hits, but so far I don´t think warlocks will be a dragon class in standard or wild.
Paladin Card Reveal - Sanctuary
Yeah, that's my thinking too. Blizzard's wording strikes again though.
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
Pogo-Hopper?
There is a lot of referencing to shuffling and getting bigger stats, so Jade Idol does make sense. But if it isn't that then Pogo-Hopper seems like the next card to pick.

time will tell
Crazed Netherwing

Fohtun-tellin 101 (feat. Madame Lazul)
I just found this after making my own flavor based Thief Priest deck. All I can say is WOW! This is an awesome deck guide!
My only question: how much did you have to pay to get Madame Lazul to create this for you?
New Paladin Spell - Sanctuary

Sorry, but no.
