  • Descent of Dragons: Arena Impact

    Staff

    - NEW CARDS -

    1=Terrible, 2=Poor, 3=Average, 4=Good, 5=Excellent

Dragonrider Talritha (4/5): Looks like a pretty good card, if you have any amount of dragons. 3/3 for 3 is ok and it has effect that can do some work.

Galakrond, the Unbreakable (x/5): not draftable in Arena.

Shu'ma (2/5): It is not the best card in the world, but it is a board swarm. I mean there are worse legendaries. Depending on your class and draft, it might actually become a really good minion for you.

Envoy of Lazul (4/5): I like this card for arena. It gives you some information about your opponent's deck and also what he might or might not be holding in his hand right now. The information could be invaluable. You will probably get a card less often on average with Envoy than you would with its cousin Curious Glimmerroot, but i think the card will be worth it either way.

Secure the Deck (3/5): Kinda slow to complete, and the reward isnt that amazing, but its removal. You probably wont be too sad to have to draft this card, if it will be the best out of the three options, but at the same time, you will always hope for something better. One of the better Side Quests considering Arena, thats for sure.

Clear the Way (1/5): Way too draft dependant and probably a bit slow. It can shine, if you do draft a few Rush cards, namely stuff like Swarm of Locusts or Desert Spear, but still, inconsistent.

  • Two New Cards Revealed - Secure the Deck & Clear the Way

Is each class getting 2 sidequests do you know? Cos isn't there a hero power one for hunter too

  • Sathrovarr

    Pro

A classic "win more" card. If you can afford to spend 9 mana on a 5/5, you're probably already quite ahead. I've used him already with Shirvallah, great fun.

  • Deathwing, Mad Aspect

    Pro

Yeah, Hysteria is a different card, but I think you're right that it would work the same. This might be too good otherwise. Think about it: it would basically clear the board (only leaving divine shielded minions, things with 13plus health (rare) and any deathrattles), and it costs less than OG Deathwing without discarding your hand. Nah, he would have to die after 12 damage. Still good though. With 2 mana to spare and potential to trade first, you can probably guarantee the clear in most scenarios. Just watch out for poison!

I love this card! Necrium shenanigans will be sweet. I'm wondering though: if you draw his candle with Galakrond, will it be free (irrelevant) so that the next real card you draw maintains its mana cost (relevant)?

  • New Warrior Hero - Galakrond, the Unbreakable

Not as good as Dr. Boom, but can be good in aggro War and will be your finisher. But this time, i think, this card can be possible not seen play, it s good but not constracted level good.

  • Dragonrider Talritha

    Pro

I played a lot of Val'anyr back in the day, and this has a similar effect. It's slow, but Paladin has plenty of sustainability to wring value from it.

  • Galakrond, the Unbreakable

Seems really strong, both for tempo decks and for control taunt decks. New Dr. Boom for warriors.

  • Nozdormu the Timeless

    Pro

You know what costs 10 mana? An Ironbeak Owl, 2 Blessings of Might and a Blessed Champion. That's 28 damage and clearing a taunt if needed. I dunno, could be good. Could also backfire STUPENDOUSLY.

  • Malygos, Aspect of Magic

    Pro

I really dig this card! OG Malygos was my very first craft (5 years ago) and I'll craft this bad boy out of nostalgia, unless I unpack him of course. Pretty good stats for cost, especially if you're trying to face down aggro. Buffed spells seem good!

  • Secure the Deck

I wish it would be rare instead of epic, then everybody could experiment with Feral Druid more easily. I know HS isn't WoW, but cards like Savagery, Claw, Pounce capture the fantasy of druid better than token decks (personal opinion, creatures of the forest atacking the enemies is more like Disney Snow white). But we've got Gonk, the Raptor, Savage Striker and other support slowly piling up - one day...

  • New Hunter Minion - Dragonbane

    Pro

This doesn't really feel like a Legendary. Cool card though. Damage potential is high, but definitely not OP.

  • Envoy of Lazul

I know this will not be be a popular opinion, but I think this would be a much more interesting card at 6 mana, but instead of copying the card, you steal it.

It would be a high-risk combo destroyer, with a massive upside and downside.  I would also like some Zephrys style AI involved that would select 3 of the same type of card to make the choice harder.

  • Emeriss

I'm hoping for a dragon hunter in the year of the Dragon, might see play?

  • Clear the Way

The card is strong enough, I just don't think there's a place for that in a deck; it's a very weak draw in midgame and lategame, so unless we don't get the mythical control dragon hunter (my Emeriss is ready), it won't see play in the year of the Dragon.

  • Mythgard - Gigantic patch has landed!

I think good changes. A bit sad about Havester :-).  Meso libre brought in line. with 4 life that one was realy a powerhouse. Not shure if a few changes like double blue for the +2 enchantement is enough. Well it shafts the blue/red (or green) aggro so maybe.

  • Galakrond, the Unbreakable

This is my thought exactly. A ton of tokens, plus any low cost card that says charge or rush and Let’s Go

  • Galakrond, the Unbreakable

i really like the drawing effect on Galakrond, this can be very easy op

  • New Warrior Hero - Galakrond, the Unbreakable

A very stong card, after seeing this i definitely wanna play warrior

  • Ysera, Unleashed

    Pro

8/10 for fun, 4/10 for power. As we see more dragons revealed, it may get better, but they're random, plus you have to draw them. I like that it's very similar to OG Ysera in terms of how you play it: It's a big body with no immediate board impact that can provide value over time. Doesn't have "soft taunt" that way OG Ysera does though.

  • Shu'ma

Could be pretty decent playing it with Never Surrender!

  • Corrosive Breath

    Right next to Quick Shot

  • Battlegrounds Devs - Dragons Being Added, Tier 5 King Magurgle, Possible Amalgam Nerfs

Lol, to me feels like it's all deliberate tactic, make meta as bad as possible so that more people will beta test battlegrounds

New expansion is right around the corner and their plan was from the beginning for this meta to last until new set is out

I can guarantee you 100% that main HS is not abandoned, if you look back to HS beta it was the same, you'd get updates and balance changes quite often

  • New Rogue Spell - Seal Fate

3 damage to an undamaged character and invoke which adds a lackey to your hand - not the worst removal for 3 mana. Isn't the strongest card ever, but it will see play in any Galakrond deck IMO.

  • Three New Cards Revealed - Shu'ma, Dragonrider Talritha, Envoy of Lazul

Oh yeah, I was forgetting that - good point.  I never really managed to make that work, so maybe I'm overestimating this card
