mage gets rid of it with a ping. other than that this might be a good card for zoo and other lackey decks. not too bad of an option for invoke maybe but 3 mana for a 1 health minions is quite expensive. think magma rager
Quest is literally a competitive deck that can go toe to toe with Quest Shaman. It's only held back by bad matchups like Combo Priest or Control Warrior
Play Swarm of Locusts to instantly proc the Sidequest, feel sad when the 4/4 doesn't appear.
that's probably not how it's going to work.
Quests have always completed in between summoning animation.
Hunter Quest for instance, will complete in the middle of Swarm of Locusts and give you the hero power...after that the spell resumes. I assume this will work the same way and the Gryphon will be summoned inbetween locusts (esentially giving you a +3/+3 on one of the Locusts)
looks like a really powerful invoke support card. draw 3 is sick to draw into other useful stuff. depends on how many invokes you can play before turn 4 though. 4 mana 5/4 is not that good of a statline really
depends on how good the demon pool really is. i personally don't like the randomness aspect on this card but invoke takes a lot of effort to be pulled off so i don't see it working as of now
not an immediate impact on the board other than potential taunts or doomguards. might be too slow and is prone to board clears. dependant on too many things to go right so i'd consider it on the weak side
I thought that there is only 1 sidequest cards for Good guys. It seems there will be more than I thought like Twinspells.
I liked this one more. It is not just Desert Spear thing, Like I said under mage's sidequest, it is also good for mid-late game because we all have leftover mana on that spot. 4/4 beast with a rush isn't so bad even in late game for your leftover mana. With so much rush minions in hunter it is also not so hard to activate it.
Card discussion's page is pretty pointless, imho: not many people go there to speak about a certain card; if it's a new one they go under the news or on the forum topic while if it's an old one probably they'll open a new thread about it.
On the other hand the news itself is a decent first-impression gathering place that usually is used just to throw a like/dislike and nothing more.
Forum topics are still the best, since they allow a more deep and interesting discussion also because are often highlighted on the front page.
Maybe the news announcement may have only a link to the proper forum topic (just for new cards, not for every news), in that way it'll be possibile to have a less dispersive and duplicate discussion for each one.
very good card just as a 3 mana deal 4. but 3 mana deal 3*4 is just insanely good. finally a good semi-boardclear for shaman that does not overload for a ridiculous amount of mana.
depends on the other cards being released for shaman though so it might be hard to tell how good it will really be
Picture this: We take the Malygos Quest Druid shell and just remove BEES! and Wardruid Loti. Then we need Gonk to die and Dreampetal Florist or Jepetto to hit Mad Summoner.
In the end the combo will be: Double Witching Hour to double Gonk, play the Sidequest, cast Pounce (you only need one, but running two is probably good) and kill two imps to finish the quest. Cast the 3 claws and you're up to 8-10 attack damage, which will result in a 56-70 damage OTK
The advantage over the old OTK (which worked essentially the same) is that you don't actually have to run Claw in your deck, which frees up at least one card slot (and you get more potential damage overall, which is good against armor classes or when you need to use up a Pounce earlier)
While Malygos needs less overall combo pieces it doesn't nearly have as much damage.
You could also ditch the Witching Hour plan and just run Floop, Gonk and Faceless and hope that you get to Jepetto before you've drawn all 4 combo minions. In that deck you could basically always pull off the combo as long as you hold on to both Innervates.
this looks like a waste of a cardslot to me. highly dependant on how all in you wanna go on invokes and the powerlevel of other invoke cards. i don't see it played at all even as a cheap spell that could get paired with auctioneer
For Wild it's mediocre: there are too many crappy minions to get some real value from the Hero Power and the board clear is not something Priest is missing so it's redundant at best. The Class is actually lacking a decent finisher and, sadly, Galakrond doesn't seem to be one.
sounds like very fun card to me especially finding high value legendaries like tirion is sick not even mentioning the synergies with the "hold a card from another class" kind of cards.
also its a cheap spell which rogues profit from a lot (auctioneer?)
3 mana deal 3 to an undamaged character sounds just bad. if it could target any character it might be fine but the condition makes it borderline unplayable. i don't see this in a semi-viable deck but i might be wrong
looks interesting especially with the generally good rogue card draw. having the hold a dragon draw 3 makes me think of a tempo heavy dragon rogue. hope this turns out tier 2 or better as it would probably be lots of fun to play
the draw card effect does not look good to me for rogue. rogue is generally good a generating tempo and running away with the game. invoke and galakrond weaken the typical rogue strength of tempo. the effect requires a top heavy deck which generally is not a rogue gameplan. maybe control rogue will be a thing, who knows?
depends on which cards the pool is chosen from. opponents deck? all cards? if you have to guess which card from your opponents deck is in his hand right now only skilled players with good hand reading capabilities might have an advantage from the battlecry. if the cards are random class or neutral cards it might be easier to guess for all players. highly depends on the pool of cards though so hard to vote reliably for me atm
4 mana 3/6 is a solid statline especially against aggro-oriented decks. the effect is nice to have, the strength of the card heavily relies on having many invoke effects in the deck though and i generally consider the invoke-cards quite bad tempo-wise. galakrond might get steamrolled by faster midrange or aggro decks imo
I am not a fan of Galakrond yet. If the invoke cards were a little bit stronger in tempo I might see potential here. The effect for priest is good aswell getting rid of a probably a whole board of minions. Especially strong in priest which already has a lot of strong boardclears at hand
New Warlock Minion - Dragonblight Cultist
mage gets rid of it with a ping. other than that this might be a good card for zoo and other lackey decks. not too bad of an option for invoke maybe but 3 mana for a 1 health minions is quite expensive. think magma rager
New Hunter Spell - Clear the Way

New Warlock Hero - Galakrond, the Wretched
depends on how good the demon pool really is. i personally don't like the randomness aspect on this card but invoke takes a lot of effort to be pulled off so i don't see it working as of now

Reveal season - card discussion in 3 places
Card discussion's page is pretty pointless, imho: not many people go there to speak about a certain card; if it's a new one they go under the news or on the forum topic while if it's an old one probably they'll open a new thread about it.

New Shaman Spell - Lightning Breath

Secure the Deck
This could honestly make Gonk OTK playable
Picture this: We take the Malygos Quest Druid shell and just remove BEES! and Wardruid Loti. Then we need Gonk to die and Dreampetal Florist or Jepetto to hit Mad Summoner.

Praise Galakrond!
this looks like a waste of a cardslot to me. highly dependant on how all in you wanna go on invokes and the powerlevel of other invoke cards. i don't see it played at all even as a cheap spell that could get paired with auctioneer
Candle Breath
pretty much sprint even without the condition fulfilled. 3 mana draw 3 is just insane. very good refill either way
looks like rogue is not gonna run out of cards to play quickly
gonna be good for nomi rogue aswell
New Priest Hero - Galakrond, the Unspeakable
For Wild it's mediocre: there are too many crappy minions to get some real value from the Hero Power and the board clear is not something Priest is missing so it's redundant at best. The Class is actually lacking a decent finisher and, sadly, Galakrond doesn't seem to be one.
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
Is it Blood of The Ancient One?
Alone I’m quite fearsome, (a 9/9 is pretty big)
you better watch out, (You want to keep on eye on this minion so it doesn't turn into a 30/30)
but doubled I’m more than tripled, (When you triple a 9/9 the total stats are 27/27, and when you double the Blood of The Ancient One you get a 30/30)
and my gurgle - a mighty shout. (I would say the battlecry is pretty mighty)
Dragon's Hoard
sounds like very fun card to me especially finding high value legendaries like tirion is sick not even mentioning the synergies with the "hold a card from another class" kind of cards.
also its a cheap spell which rogues profit from a lot (auctioneer?)
looks good to me
Seal Fate
3 mana deal 3 to an undamaged character sounds just bad. if it could target any character it might be fine but the condition makes it borderline unplayable. i don't see this in a semi-viable deck but i might be wrong
Umbral Skulker
this looks kinda meh to me. maybe with auctioneer this might be good. i don' t know if rogue has the survivability to get throught a 4 mana 3/3 though
Waxadred
looks interesting especially with the generally good rogue card draw. having the hold a dragon draw 3 makes me think of a tempo heavy dragon rogue. hope this turns out tier 2 or better as it would probably be lots of fun to play
New Rogue Hero - Galakrond, the Nightmare
the draw card effect does not look good to me for rogue. rogue is generally good a generating tempo and running away with the game. invoke and galakrond weaken the typical rogue strength of tempo. the effect requires a top heavy deck which generally is not a rogue gameplan. maybe control rogue will be a thing, who knows?
Time Rip
assassinate anyone?
does not look super powerful to me but then again i generally consider galakrond bad until proven otherwise. might be one of the better invoke cards
Envoy of Lazul
depends on which cards the pool is chosen from. opponents deck? all cards? if you have to guess which card from your opponents deck is in his hand right now only skilled players with good hand reading capabilities might have an advantage from the battlecry. if the cards are random class or neutral cards it might be easier to guess for all players. highly depends on the pool of cards though so hard to vote reliably for me atm
Fate Weaver
4 mana 3/6 is a solid statline especially against aggro-oriented decks. the effect is nice to have, the strength of the card heavily relies on having many invoke effects in the deck though and i generally consider the invoke-cards quite bad tempo-wise. galakrond might get steamrolled by faster midrange or aggro decks imo
New Priest Hero - Galakrond, the Unspeakable
I am not a fan of Galakrond yet. If the invoke cards were a little bit stronger in tempo I might see potential here. The effect for priest is good aswell getting rid of a probably a whole board of minions. Especially strong in priest which already has a lot of strong boardclears at hand
New Neutral Minion - Shu'ma
If only Hobgoblin triggered on summoned minions instead of played, this would be maximum meme potential.
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
Since it’s proving hard, I’ll give a tiny hint: the gurgle becomes a mighty shout when doubled as well
Sand Breath
Solid buff for any aggro or dragon deck. Not an insane value card but might open up 1-2 favourable trades for 1 mana. Seems like a good tempo tool
