OK we can wait but given there are 3 card reveals couldn't they have revealed 1 at start of stream (thereby revealing when they said they would), then pump up their viewing figures by saying they'd be 2 more at the end?
I know they like twitch views but would have been nicer done differently :) Oh well, we still get to see new cards I will just have a beer for now :)
All of this was hypothetical. If casual wants to ban competitive decks then ladder should be able to ban non-competitive decks.
My point was that is all just silly. As you can clearly see, there isn't any clear definition on what is or what isn't casual/competitive.
As for what is stopping me from playing certain decks at lower ranks? Mill rogue. Both Evenlock and my Dragon Mind Blast Priest decks have so much draw on their own that I usually just aggro my way up the ladder and once I reach a good rank (for me), I start messing around.
I don't play casual and I use Zayle when someone offers me a Challenge a Friend quest. It's a bit unrealistic to win 30 matches a day in casual mode. The gold rewards aren't worth it - I know; I've tried.
I burnt myself out real fast. I like to win and I like the challenge of playing ladder. Sure, it sucks to lose stars sometimes but not every Spike out there is gold farming in casual.
Sometimes to do need to just play on, ignoring the deathrattle animations. Don't worry too much about each individual one, just assess the board once the dust clears.
I have only had the chance to pick new heroes twice since the update, 2 options kinda sucks when new heroes are here. Both times it was Finley and both times I finished 3rd.
Alleycats and Tidehunters are essential in the early game to get as many uses of the Hero Power buffs as possible.
Hmm, I think you're kinda contradicting yourself, because if there is a hero that is guaranteed top 4 it is Deryl. Unless you fail the "apm turn" or are very unlucky, Deryl is absolute king of midgame.
so I go against one guy with 2 of these, then he draws his deck, he playes pogo hopper, than shuffles 15with the scheme. So now he has a 45 card deck of nothing but pogo hoppers. Also very strong with bomb warrioir
You are absolutely right Runeterra's economic model seems to be pushing players to play multiple modes. However I think a significant percentage will want to play only the draft mode (15%?). It's a great format! I'm one of those players.
We don't want to 'farm' the draft mode for a collection, because we don't need a collection. We want get access to the unlimited drafts after the 3 tickets are bought and paid for each week. We want to get access to those drafts even though they offer no rewards, just so we can keep playing our mode for fun.
And the more I look at it, the more I believe that coming up with 12,000 shards each week to break that barrier will not be possible without using real money.
Obtaining experience points for the capped level 10 weekly chest (ultimately very similar to HS's daily quests) will only get us part of the way. The most damning evidence for how Runeterra's economic model is not draft mode friendly is:
Good guide. I can tell you know what you're talking about. Most people act like it's sacrilege to forgo the tech up on turn 2. But there are a few heroes where you don't.
I've picked Sindra twice and finished #1 both times. The key is not to level up as quickly, but to amass stats on lower-tier minions and catch up later.
Edit: Checked it out, it says that the first 3 reveals will be made by blizzard, so who knows maybe they are part of the reveal stream.
We're actually not entirely certain if that even is the case. Blizzard just never published links for those, and several other reveals. I guess we'll see in a couple of hours

What do you think Casual is Supposed to be?

Power Core
Sounds a little cryptic - "Attend Certain Events" :)
Is it known which events these are?
Toxic Reinforcements
Do we know what the sidequest animation/UI is going to be like?
And will they work just like quests (you can have multiple different ones, but not duplicates)?
This Week's Brawl is Shake, Deathrattle and Roll!
I have played this 6 times and won all 6 :)

Luckily only had to play this one once thanks to my opponent playing a minion and getting the deathrattle for Majordomo Executus!
