  • The Descent of Dragons Announcement Trailer Features 3 More Cards!

    Quote From Trimutius

Effect is not so good because you get empty crystals but your opponent gets full crystals, but hey after turn 9 Nozdormu is just 4 mana 8/8 which is okeish...

they all are not empty btw. I played Mojomaster Zihi so much times. When you play at 10 mana you have 4 more mana to play. So Nozdormu the Timeless will probably give you 6 mana to play when you played it.

So here are all of the upgraded spells.

why is Explosion so bad? Every other one got at least +2 damage or -2 cost. Why couldn't the make it 3-damage....or at least 0-mana. Who at Blizzard just really hates Arcane Explosion?

It will either backfire against you or utilize your deck to it's full potential

as long the opponent can't deal with the 8/8 or utilize the 10 mana into perfection, you will be in good spot.

this card will most likely backfire against control or tempo style decks when those decks do want mana.

Aggressive decks can differ depending on the costs of the cards, worst case scenario would be that your opponent goes all out after getting 10 mana after this dragon is played. if you can deny that board, you win most of the times.

unless you're playing a mirror and are actually helping them by playing your nozdormu first

  • Nozdormu the Timeless

remember when ramping to 10 on turn 4 was a Druid thing...and they discarded their entire hand for it?

    Class identity, am I right?

  • New Druid Minion - Ysera, Unleashed

Trolden is already ready for some clips of someone getting huge dragons in a row on same turn AND the inverse which would be Faery Dragon

Alright, some news on how this works: after being played, you WILL NOT receive any extra mana. It sets both player’s empty mana crystals to 10, but no actual usable mana crystals for the player that played him.In other words, as playable as Temporus...

I don't know, if you are playing a control deck and are facing an aggro deck, it would be pretty useful to just jump ahead to the late-game.

Yes, it does. I've notified Flux about it already, but I'll probably tell him again.

    Wait, what?

If that's true, then they worded this card quite poorly.

  • New Paladin Minion - Nozdormu the Timeless

I would say that it is still playable this way, as you could play it on turn 7 instead of turn 4, which would make it give your opponent 2 or 3 more Mana crystals instead of 5 or 6 more. This makes it somewhat similar to an Omega card, in that it is more powerful late-game. Plus, if you're playing against aggro and you have a board clear in hand it can't backfire too much if played on turn 4

  • New Druid Minion - Ysera, Unleashed

To be honest, I can't really think of a place this card would fit in.

Quest Druid just seems way better then whatever Dragon synergies they will pump out. Unless Ysera somehow makes it into the Quest list, Phaoris just seems much better as a boardfill, or Nomi for that matter.

Highlander Druid also does not really benefit from this as she also messes up the singleton strategy with duplicate portals. I really have no idea what to do with this card, will have to look at the whole set for a final judgement tho.

This is Druid's replacement for Nomi after it cycles out.

that's not how rotations in hs work...

  • Nozdormu the Timeless

Play no minions under 4 mana cost, Call to Adventure.  Another 4 cost minion you could play is Witchwood Piper, which after you draw that with Call to Adventure it draws Noz when played.  After thinking about it some more, this is really good early, but Noz can be really good as a late game card too, giving you a 20 mana turn with no downside as your opponent is already at 10 mana in that situation.

Also, imagine playing Noz to get a higher mana turn, then playing Mojomaster Zihi to reset back to 6.  LOL!

  • Umbral Skulker

    garbage

  • Nozdormu the Timeless

The one big downside is while you get a crazy early turn, you also set your opponent to 10 mana.  So if they are something like Big Priest in Wild, they can start playing big minions sooner.  Or if they are aggro, they can flood the board quicker with more minions and you'll just need some board clears.  So it's going to depend on how well Paladin can control the early game, how reliably they can get Good Nozdormu early, and how they can deal with situations like board flood, playing against other big stuff decks, and managing games where they don't draw Noz early.

But this is honestly even good as a late game card if you think about it.  If you're both already at 10 mana, you can play 6 mana worth of stuff before Noz and you have a 20 mana turn with no downside.

EDIT: In fact you could play 10 mana, ending with Noz, play another 4 mana card, then drop Mojomaster Zihi just to frustrate your opponent in the late game... You just played 20 mana, now they only have 6 on their turn!  :D

  • Malygos, Aspect of Magic

Very possible that it will be, maybe 1 mana Discover a Mage Spell so you can choose one that works best in your situation, or just increase generated cards to something like Add two random mage spells to your hand.

I mean, why not. Twilight Drake has already seen play in some Quest builds. There's plenty of other dragons with useful battlecries, and we're about to get some more. Draconic Lackey also helps with this.

One of Quest Shaman's main weaknesses is minions with more than 2 health in groups of 3. Now they have this to take care of them, and MCT for everything else
