Edit: apparently Legends of Runeterra is something already in the works since november 2018 but nobody ever said what game it was. IF it actually confirms to be a card game can it actually be launched before Xmas? considering it was already from 2018....that would be great

Anyone else have a guess how this works in one turn? The following is my assumption but if I’m right it seems like a lot of cards to hold:

1. Thaurissan the following cards:

2x Biology Project, Floop, Elise, Maly

2. When you have 10 mana and the above cards discounted + 1x Innervate + 2x Moonfire, do the following:

Play malygos, innervate, 2xBio, Elise, Floop, 4xMoon (8 card, 15 mana combo but innervate and bio projects give you 15 mana) for a max OTK of 44 damage

A lesser combo might be Malygos, 2x Bio, Floop, 2x Innervate (Or 1x Bio if Maly and Floop have been discounted by Thaurissan) for 22 damage with Elise offering various options including the ability to do this twice over two turns

I’m not the OP and have yet to pilot this deck but this is what I’ve come up with. Please correct me or show me other combos that I am missing. Thanks.

I hate Riot Games and i already hate an unannounced game from them

I managed to get from rank 8 to 3 with an N'zoth warlock,but I'm either very unlucky or the deck doesn't work anymore.Either way i tried climb with Big/Quest Priest(missing cloning Gallery) and a bit of quest shaman but it only brought me back to low rank 4.

I also thought about crafting vessina for an evolve shaman,but I'm kinda poor right now.

I would love to know what decks you guys used to get to legend this month.

People are comparing Evolve Shaman to Combo Priest, but I really don't see the similarities. First off, Combo Priest is the most board-centric deck in the game right now, so that facotr can be exploited. If you can keep the board clear for the early turns, you can solidify your game plan and snowball your lead. Beause Combo Priest doesn't have any cards that directly impact the board (aside from Wild Pryomancer, but it's moreso used to gain a larger lead when the Priest is ahead), they can be shut down if you remove their minions turn after turn. However, if the Priest highrolls into Injured Tol'vir + Circle of Healing Turn 1, unless you have exactly Backstab + Eviscerate, you've probably lose the game.

On the other hand, Evolve Shaman has a completely different gameplan. They seek to do multiple things: one, they can create a massive board spontaeneously via Desert Hare + Evolve, or they can abuse the understatted battlecry minions when running Corrupt the Waters. Evolve Shaman is so much more consistently powerful compared to Combo Priest; even if they don't hit their turn 4 Evolve combo, they still have good enough cards to win through tempo. No class can deal with four 4 drops on turn four, nonetheless an 8 drop before turn 8 with Mogu Fleshshaper. This is closer to Conjurer Mage, where once the deck gets it's combo off, it's basically unstoppable.

I had a game where the Shaman had three 4 mana and two 8 mana minions on turn 4. A board like that should not be possible in this game. It is extremely unhealthy and not fun to play against.

More competition is a good thing for HS. It forces the devs to take a look at what they are doing, and improve upon it to keep the player base. 2019 has already been a fantastic year for improvements, I hope more are on the way!

Riot definitly has experience in balancing games and most importantly, is known for frequent updates. Also TFT is proof that they are able to design other stuff than MOBA‘s.

Frequent updates don’t work well with a highly priced TCG such as hearthstone. Therefore my hopes are that the business model is based on skins and graphics. Also, i want to get quickly into the game. I‘m not ready to grind 6 months until i‘m able to play competitive decks without spending money. 

It‘s a tough time for a new competitor imo, Hearthstone has done an amazing job in 2019 and they are still improving

Riot already made an astonishingly good boardgame (not to mention the production quality), so I wouldn't be surprised if they can pull of a good digital card game.

Just a casual reminder btw: Riot Games is a wholly owned subsidiary of the PRoC tech giant Tencent (who also have a 5 percent share in Activision-Blizzard, of course).

Anyway, I don't really care about LoL, but good for its fans that they can potentially have their own digital card game for it.

As someone who has been playing League of Legends for about 8 years, I will at the very least have to give this a try. It's highly unlikely that it will replace Hearthstone for me except if I like it much better, but I'm still curious to see more of this.

Jokes aside, it's always good to have competitors on the market, but I'd rather it not being from Riot, you know, because Tencent and all. And also because there's an oversaturation of card games as it is.

I just wanted to check out standard after some months only playing wild... all I see is this degenerate N'Zoth priest...

So... back to wild. At least here big priest is gone!

Rule #1 of Resurrect Priest - it doesn't matter how many other minions have died this game, Mass Resurrection will always play the maximum available number of Psychopomps.
