You madman @NebuchadnezzarHS! Hahahah, you're insane sir.

I am at level 231 or 232 as of today. I hope/expect to be at or around level 300 by next expansion.

I'll be happy if Evoker isn't introduced until Hearthstone is as old as WoW will be when that class is introduced to that game. I'm sure Monk will come someday, and twelve classes might be pushing it.

We all agreed before that swim didn't left because he lost interest in LoR but because he did ... bad things that lost him his fanbase's support and and ended his career altogether.

When Mogwai is playing Marval Snap for being a new and generally more hyped game right now it's only smart of him to "ride the wave".

It's to be seen weather he will return to LoR later. it could be that he doesn't but that's not certain at all at this point. I would suggest letting the dust settle before making assumptions that very well could be wrong.

I would agree that LoR isn't in a good state right now. There are certain archetypes always forming top tier decks (like Akshan), there are gimmicy archetypes pushed beyond fun gameplay areas (seraphine) and overall the game doesn't really manage to reinvent itself well enough that I would care to become a ranked player again.

I am out of touch with pvp and for as long as pve stays as profitable as it is there will never be an incentive for me to change anything about that.

Which web are we talking about?? I didn't see anything on their official webpage 😅

I strongly disagree with this. Demon Hunter's core theme is one-turn hero attack buffs and benefiting off hero attacks, plus augmenting low-impact cards with incredible card draw. They have side-themes of Rush minions, symmetrical AoE, a lack of hard removal, cheating out demons, and token synergy. I would say that is a strong, clear, and distinct class identity. I would even argue that DH probably has the cleanest class identity in the game, without any weird old cards feeling out-of-place.

Their class identity was rough at the start, but I think they've carved a very distinct niche over the past three years. I have no doubt that DK or any other class could likewise be carefully molded.

  • Every Series 2 Card in MARVEL SNAP

Does anyone have interesting ideas on how to use pool 2 cards in fun/effective ways? Other than a few obvious ones, i don't really see much use for them.

E.g. Nakia. Also "the infinite" makes you skip a turn unless you summon him randomly from the deck, which is not consistent at all.

So, all in all, how do you guys feel about "power reducing cards", be them those that affect cards in opponent's hand (which means they suck in later turns) or cards from the locations?

Also, Leech seems incredibly powerful against almost everything. Does the "ability" include ongoing and on-reveal effects? Or just stuff like Nova's ?

Professor X is also a good way to get this quest done with the hot location, especially if you have Klaw, Mr Fantastic, and Spectrum

It depends how heavy are you on 1-drops. I run Armor in my Ongoing deck, because a) it can protect Ant-Man and b) it can get buffed by Spectrum.

That being said, there are more "destroy" cards than just Killmonger, case in point with today's hot location Pegasus Project, a lot of ppl, myself included, seem to run Shang-Chi to snipe the big baddies you can put down with extra 5-mana, so Armor helps there as well.

Cosmo would be another option, also Ongoing, which can get buffed by Spectrum. I sometimes run both.

Bonus points for them is you can counter "deathrattle" decks by denying them killing off Nova or tokens to feed Carnage etc.

Loved the article, even though it was discussed over and over in the past few weeks, the read was quite enjoyable, with enough curiosity spikes to keep me reading all the way to the end, even if most of the things mentioned were already known.

    Kudos!

  • Quest help

Somehow this new featured location made it easier to complete without conceding. The one with +5 power if only card is also helpful, especially when it gets revealed later and the opponent already played a few there.

Having Hulk in the deck is definitely a must

  • MARVEL SNAP's Hot Location is Project Pegasus - Decks to Play!

Personally, I think they should handle the Featured Location this way too. Just 24 hours at 60%.

As of this moment I don't own Jubilee, Shang-Chi, or Hobgoblin, so I'm gonna be stretched thin on this one :(

  • Every Series 2 Card in MARVEL SNAP

In my experience, I haven't seen Killmonger show up enough to justify teching against a tech. And you are really only protecting three cards outside of Armor, so I think the game would still be over.

Is Armor a good option against Killmonger?

  • Speculating About Hearthstone's New Expansion - What Could We See Next?

I broadly agree with you, though my concerns are more long-term than the inevitable balance catastrophe at the start. If DK is going to be worth adding, it needs to feel truly distinct from all existing classes. Obviously it will overlap mechanically with a few - that's fine - but it needs to combine these mechanics in ways that make it unique to play. It can't just throw together freeze effects and deathrattle minions, for instance, because Skeleton mage is already doing that.

To me, DH's biggest problem was always that it never really felt like it fused the different aspects of rogue, hunter and warlock very well. Rogue and hunter are already close together in many ways, so decks that just mix them don't actually add much new. Then it suffers from inheriting tools from warlock that don't make much sense in those decks, and rarely get used together. The end result being some decks that could easily have been put in either rogue or hunter with minimal changes, and some that could have been put in warlock. The small differences DH does bring to these decks is hardly worth the upkeep of an entire class imo.

Very interesting, you might be on to something here!

  • Speculating About Hearthstone's New Expansion - What Could We See Next?

Despite never having played Warcraft 3 or WoW, Arthas' downfall and the Wrath of the Lich King are some of my all-time favourite story arcs. Additionally, I've been pretty bored of HS as of late. If DK is indeed coming with next expansion (and given all the evidence here it probably will), you'd best believe I'm gonna be playing again.

  • Speculating About Hearthstone's New Expansion - What Could We See Next?

Please no new hero class! We don`t need another class. I allready disliked the addition of Demon Hunter. Also the addition of Demon Hunter was a huge balancing problem for the devs. I expect that the addition of a new hero class will have huge balancing problems again - and therefore there will be a lot of frustrations again.

Amazing article indeed! That's quite the compilation of evidence. Really excited for DK!

Yeah, the events sort of being hidden in the News section rather than featured front and center is not the optimal choice.

So with the release of the newest mini set Lor has been kind of a mess.

A lot of the interesting and worth while play patterns that defined the game are increasingly being ironed out for what works.

Turbo strategies, do nothing strategies, general malaise and lack of interest/intrigue

Topped off now with what can only be described as streamer migration.

It began small by Swim and BBG quitting the game but now even Mogwai has left for a competitor.

I have to say that the future of Lor is looking darker then it has for quite some time.

I would say personally that the only real fix is going to be archetype support, hard buffs for freijord, and legitimate reasons to play midrange again.

Beyond that what is it that makes Lor truly appealing when compared to its competitors because I'm starting to forget.
