Does the deck not also run Bloodletters? Most of the ones I've seen recently have. In my experience playing against it it doesn't seem like it needs a solid turn 2 play to secure the early game with the amount of cheap early removal it has access to.

Personally, I am not interested in PvP. I just play some PvE or leave it in the background, to slowly collect coins... and sometimes enjoying the end-boss PvE "puzzle".

But, since Mercs came out, I play up to 1 or 3 wins in PvP daily, because random coins are worth it, until they fix excess coins issue.

Since 1 or 2 weeks, with some patch, I play ONLY against "QuirkyTurtle". The time of the day does not matter. Morning, afternoon, evening, midnight... it's always him in PvP.

He seems like a bot. Takes actions instantly. If I go into queue ASAP after a match... I play again against him, but... he changes his Mercenaries in composition. No human would be able to change them this fast and queue... unless he has dozens of teams ready.

But I kid you not, I don't think I ever saw him play 2 same teams. His teams seem just random. Including something stupid like for example 5 Fighters and 1 Caster. Like, wtf? But if he is a bot, random team compositions should not be surprising.

The accusations aren't terrible, but they are outclassed by other options: early game you'd rather have AoE to deal with wide boards from aggro decks and late game you can use Sylvanas, the Accused or Insatiable Devourer instead to get more value per card.

Shadehound is very good, I expect it to see more play in the future.

More variety reveals but mostly wamt to talk about Taylor Swift and her champ spell.

2 for 2 at fast speed is already okay 2 on one target and 1 on a second target is an amazing effect to double up on.

Essentially 6 dmg across two bodies for two mana, imagine if freijord got spells that good because honestly this will remake p and z control and ezreal by extension.

So yeah Seraphine amazing card, amazing champ spell that you actually want to 3 of in deckbuilding even without her.

Still sad Frijord remains the worst control region in the game by a growing margin.

Why would ever use this in Kindred/Nasus?

The only Darkin in that deck is Taarosh and you only run two copies of it, you also want to have an aggressive early game in order to put you opponent within Atrocity range and a two mana do nothing landmark is anything but aggressive.

Yes let's let Kindred/Nasus get Tarrosh out even sooner! gg

You inspired me to scroll through the Mercs leaderboard (the UI could use some loving attention). 

I spotted quite a few names that I think I recognize from OOC, so that's fun. Pezman, you are pages ahead of ChahDresh, who is pages ahead of GoliathDwarf, who is pages ahead of me. If the battletags line up with the OOC accounts. 

CrazyCat is 15+ pages ahead of me, but I often beat her, so who knows what it all means? 

I have zero ideas right now on how to take advantage of the bot opponents, beyond "don't worry too much about it" and "see if there are any Merc Achievements that'd be easier in a bot pit." Perhaps some of our esteemed colleagues will have more interesting ideas. 

I can say that winning one PvP game per day takes me to 5000+ (and sometimes 6k+) over the season, so the rewards chests feel fairly worthwhile for the amount of effort. 

And it's fun. Probably more fun at the mid-levels where we all are than on the first page of the leaderboards.

My first impression was that this whole package looks really good. I think you spelled it better than I could have done, though.

It's me, ya boy, guy who occasionally asks for card backs to be up to date. Card backs are a little behind again. I don't think the section has been updated since Throne of the Tides.

I would give a detailed list, but that would require me to reinstall Battlenet and that's not happening.

I can agree with that assessment: The Amber Spyglass fridges Lyra for a bit, which is annoying, and possibly spends too much time with Mary (in my opinion). It's not bad at all...it's just not as good as the first two.

Still, I am excited to see how HBO tackles the last book; premiere is December 5th! Only 8 episodes, but at least we'll get to see the ending. I was worried Covid had derailed that opportunity completely D:

You can't go face with this but when you take into consideration thst spelldamage boosting cards got better lately and that this having potentially 2 targets is good for someone like Ezreal... that's a spicy card.

Cards like these are still competetive in MTG high power formats to this day (and in those Formats only the best of the best is viable). The stronger cheap spells become the more broken a champion like this will be.

she is only 2 mana... 2 fricking mana that's broken for a spell doubler that technically replaces itself when you play it.

Given how good the cards from the package are and how good cheap spells are already... i have a feeling that Seraphine will be busted and together with Nami be a tier 1 if not tier 0 archetype 

Edit I just noticed that she features new spells so that she is a lot less busted than on first glance. 

Still she could be really good and will become better over time

can the new spell crowd pleaser generate be for another region?
