The deck is pretty boring to play since you've a polarizing playstyle where you just try to cheat out a big minion asap, while you spam board clear and removal to keep you alive. After you put something on board, you go on by using your ress spells until the opponent is overwhelmed.
It's also an high roll deck, so many match up may be win just by topdecking Barnes in the early game.
This is actually pretty good for waiting to clear an aggro board. If you have something like mass hysteria on 5, this makes your opponent want to wait and play even more minions or lose out on mana efficiency.
1. A shift in Control/Dr Broken Warrior to be more taunt-focused given all the new cards that feed into that
2. Heal Druid is finally going to make an appearance is a real way - I don't expect it to be Tier 1, but it's definitely going to crawl out of the T4/5 pit.
4. Priest might finally come back into the mainstream with the High Priest Amet + Buffs & Boar OTK
Also, I don't expect them to get big, but I'm definitely going to give a few decks a(nother) try:
1. Silence Priest - was *okay* before, but now with more cheap big minions like Sunstruck Henchman and Mortuary Machine it *may* be more consistent.
2. (maybe highlander) Secret Mage - all 3 mage minions revealed so far fit the archetype, so I'm expecting/hoping there will be a new secret revealed. You could reasonably run highlander as well if needed given all the ways to refresh a hand with Mage atm.
I think what could first be done is a design editor where you can design a card. You must use existing mechanics, but otherwise you are free to spec a card to your liking, give it a name, store it in your private card collection, upload a nice image for it etc.
So in this way you can "design" new cards to play with.
Then, in order to be able to play with other people using your (and their!) newly designed cards, you need a way to be able to "share" your new designs with other players.
And then you can start building decks with it and play "challenge a friend" using your new cards.
I think this could work, you only loose the cool animations which normal cards have, and their "golden" effect etc.
You can probably extend this also to new classes as well.
From a player's point of view this is awesome of course. But from Blizzard point of view not so much, they want to have an active player base who feel the need to also sometimes buy stuff, instead of designing their own cool collections. So somehow Blizzard should also profit from this.
Def. not terrible, but interesting from a design point of view.
Yes, it is worse than Fel Reaver, but Fel Reaver is actually a pretty good card (and one of the most underrated ones). I think this is going to be a good Arena card (if your deck can go Face a lot) and a bad Constructed card.
Title says it all. I build a deck, yet I feel constrained that I have to choose one that's not befitting. I want to add more.
I will explain with an example: The deck I made consists of both Yogg Mage and Reno Mage archetypes. Is it possible to add two sub-archetype slots before saving a deck? That will help finding or expressing a deck better.
This card loses you too much tempo, for the same reason academic espionage isn't played this will probably won't be played either too slow and doesn't have a body.
It's a bit fringe, but AE + Prep + Tak Nozwhisker is a great way to get fuel for Spectral Cutlass. These kind of cards aren't high tempo (of course a 4-mana card that doesn't put stats on the board is low tempo, why are we trying to evaluate it based on its speed?), they're high value.
You could run this with Myras and Leeroy, go Leeroy Shadowstep, Myras to draw your deck, then Leeroy + this to have 18 burst for zero mana on the next turn.
Regardless of its power it's another interesting new mechanics and that's always good for the game. On top it seems also an anti-aggro tech, forcing your opponent to make some heavy trade or give you an extra turn.
Are some achievements still being accounted for? For example, I have made 2 decks, but I don't have the "Make a Deck" achievement.
They should be. Although in order to get my posting related achievements I had to make a new comment which then triggered the achievements that I should've had. Maybe you'll need to create a new deck so that the site recognizes your old ones.
Every turn before 7-10 is so important for Plot Twist to get control of the board and Plot Twist warlock have needed an early game protection and this can be the protection it longs for.
First off, let's call it "Custom Games" because that is a more realistic, and more importantly, an ACHIEVABLE approach. The idea of buffing and nerfing cards in client is honestly asking for trouble even if it's a Custom Game between friends, so scrap that as an idea because it simply can't happen.
That's one thing that's always bugged me about HS is that we can't make our own rules in client without have to DM our friends to set it up. Or have a mode, like I don't know, BRAWL BLOCK, that changes monthly and could put these rules in. Like, how would have KFT looked without DK's?
Firstly, as far as 'custom games' 'asking for trouble' even if it's between friends: as a person who supports the concept of a 'custom' mode between clans/guilds (note I also support us having clans/guilds) I am deeply curious as to what makes such a concept a bad one.
If it's something that's unfeasable or impossible coding wise, that's a developer issue and something that should be determined and voiced by Blizzard. Our job here is to figure out whether it's something that we would want to happen IF it's feasable to develop. Unless you have some insight to how it is on the developer side.
I mean you might, which is why I'm asking.
Point is, what do you mean by it's 'asking for trouble' and it 'simply can't happen'?
Secondly as far as 'brawl block' I believe the Brawls help demonstrate the problem with it. We have weekly brawls that make different rules in how we play, sometime in ways you cannot recreate naturally, such as removing the RNG from the card draw or limiting a deck to just 4 cards, or just crazy stuff in general. We generally get bored of it by the end of the week with the meta 'solved' long before then. A month of any of them would be either ignored or raged at.
I'm hoping that the set blocks they've done have shown better numbers. I enjoyed them and so much want a mode of that, but I'm sure Blizzard is keeping a heavy record of how the playerbase is truly handling these events. Thing is, if it IS proven to be good enough for a full mode, we won't know about it for at least a few months if not a full year while they develop it (Tournament mode SHOULD've taught them not to talk about anything that isn't ready). If it's proven to be something we think we want but don't, we won't know until a year or two later when they answer an AMA question and say "we looked into it and found it diddn't really work out.
In any case, at least as far as the set blocks is concerned, we'll get it if we REALLY showed we want it.
Here's some art, make a card! [Legacy Game]
Next: Must be a Druid Demon called Druid of the Legion with a Choose One effect that transforms itself. Lots of requirements, I know.
should i play big priest?

New Viable Archetypes in Saviors of Uldum?
I think we're going to see:
1. A shift in Control/Dr Broken Warrior to be more taunt-focused given all the new cards that feed into that
2. Heal Druid is finally going to make an appearance is a real way - I don't expect it to be Tier 1, but it's definitely going to crawl out of the T4/5 pit.
3. Anka, the Buried + Mecha'thun OTK Rogue will make a splash - the combo is just too easy to pull off, especially with Myra's Unstable Element to wipe out their decks.
4. Priest might finally come back into the mainstream with the High Priest Amet + Buffs & Boar OTK
Also, I don't expect them to get big, but I'm definitely going to give a few decks a(nother) try:

That is some unique and intersting card design right there!
It's super hard to evaluate if this card is actually good, but I like it just for being something new and interesting.

EVIL Totem It has very big potential. I like it because i play aggro sham and it Will be Played in it :)
New Viable Archetypes in Saviors of Uldum?
I will try two mage variants: spells/tempo and complete random casino fiesta with the most random spells in one game.
Oh and I will definitely try to make those obelisks and mogu cultist work.
New Rogue Spell - Shadow of Death

New Neutral Minion - Conjured Mirage
Provides no threat, just delays any attacks by one turn, anti-fatigue, vulnerable to silence, only decent in Silence Priest?
I don't think this will see any constructed play at all.
New Neutral Minion - Conjured Mirage
Regardless of its power it's another interesting new mechanics and that's always good for the game. On top it seems also an anti-aggro tech, forcing your opponent to make some heavy trade or give you an extra turn.

Uldum Card Reveal - Conjured Mirage
can be a nice addition to Plot Twist warlock and new warlock quest Supreme Archaeology. You can add more copies with Dollmaster Dorian + Augmented Elekk too. If you can't make it die, it will go to your deck which is good for the quest.

Uldum Priest Card Reveal - Embalming Ritual
Yea, but how viable is deathrattle priest? It's not now and haven't seen any new cards (except for reborn) that would make it worthwhile.
I could think of some resurrect list, but that just doesn't work in standard because it has no good early game or real win condition.
Maybe it would work in a mid-priest build, but the details of that deck are not clear to me yet. Will need to wait and see probably...
New Rogue Minion - Pharaoh Cat
I guess both is only ok with Thief decks. I don't think tempo variants will use both.
Saviors of Uldum - 5 Pack Bundles Giveaway
Corrupt the Waters really enjoyed building around quests but hate playing wild. Looking forward to some of the insane battle cry carnage.
