Damn i'm sorry to hear that you're going through tough times. While i've gone through semi-similar experiences before, i don't have BPD so i can't imagine how you feel. I really enjoyed a lot of your custom hearthstone sets. well thanks for the explanation, my issue is I only have iOS devices, my only option is to emulate android device in my pc and use VPN, yeah.... you know my hype was massive for this game but I am losing interest, I like to start playing game since the beggining like hearthstone from the beta

That last quest will probably be the first one that will be too hard for me to do. I'm trash at that mode and very rarely come in first. It could take me 30 games before I get first, and I'm not willing to spend that much time at this within two weeks.

I might be trash at Hearthstone as a whole, but that's besides the point.

Oh, I always thought the goal is to prolong the game as long as possible to get more xp.

I did the first one, expecting it was only 1 quest grrr, i didn't read this news because I never play BG unless I have to.
After the first one i went back here to see what this is all about......exactly nothing.......deleted the follow up.  and done.

I'm just frustrated that I lost a weekly BG focused quest when the patch went out. I still haven't seen if there are plans to address that for players who lost out on that chunk of XP.

That behavior sounds about right.

Since I don't care about my wild MMR, I just concede and move on. But it's really annoying. This should be against blizzard TOS.

I'll attempt the questline, not because of the rewards, coz cosmetics mean nothing to me anymore in HS due to the overload there is now. There's always some weekly quests that are incredibly easy to complete in BG (I've got the "Deal 200 damage to enemy heroes." quest atm) 

And it's always cool to dabble with the new updates, finding the quests must more fun compared to the buddies

If your MMR is dumpstered in BG, half of the players will be afk from jump in a given game. The only reason nearly all of the players aren't afk is because Blizzard made an undocumented stealth change (that didn't see any discussion in social media) after the very first major overhaul of Battlegrounds where the MMR was reset that forced the track-pushers into games with anyone with a wide range of low MMR. This turboscrews the low MMR players trying to rank up, but Blizz is fine with that because what they don't want are the track-pushers to get infinite passive games in a row.

What this means is that at the very lowest ranks, your lobby will be garbage and getting first place just requires you to get an early build online fast and you'll almost never be punished by another early build because half your opponents will be ghosts. It can still be frustrating and take time, but if you were going to run a BG game or two anyway, the 1st place win is inevitable.

The "No Country for Old Blanchy" achievement also counts one proc if you get lethal on the enemy hero with him.

This site will always be a mainly Hearthstone site, because most, if not all the developers/moderators here were working in Hearthpwn until it was sold.

At least half of the userbase of this site, myself included, is/was also frequent Hearthpwn users, so we are interested in mostly Hearthstone among card games.

Lol, I dont play BG these days but I really feel the grind with that final quest. Getting 1st place is fairly daunting, even back then when I played it casually. Lord knows what the average number of games it'll take to actually get it.

Deleted the quest soon as I saw it. Probably made for exclusive BG players, I'd imagine. Just separate the damn game, blizz, they cant even use the gold gained in BG itself now. 

Apologies, I think I misrepresented myself. When I said achievement hunting, I meant I use the the achievements to determine the theme for my homebrew decks. I still make semi competitive decks that still aim to win and not solely to complete the achievement. So not achievement hunting in the traditional sense. I'd rather have a real match and not get an achievement than a rope match that wastes my time but get the achievement. I also don't have a lot of time to play so I get irritated when bots waste my time. Just come context why I get irritated. I usually play standard but feeling burnt out so I tried this out.

It sort of went off tangent a bit lol. My original question was: are they really bots and is it worth the effort to report them? Though I guess from the responses, the answers are yes and no.

There's a pattern that comes up whenever I see the new expansion achievements. Generally speaking, the goal is for those achievements to be completed within 30-40 odd games, which is doable within 4 months if that's all you're playing, and then there's those which are absolutely mind boggling like Gone Fishin' which might as well be impossible if not insufferable even if thief rogue was all that was being played for 4 months.

Fun is obviously not the goal, because none of them are. The goal is engagement, to get us to actually play certain decks or certain styles. Obviously not with the intention to win. Whirlpool required 12 minions on board, which means you're flushing away your own board which 90% of the time just never happens in a competitive match. Cards like Frantic Hippogryph (which hilariously I completed this almost exclusively against bots) will simply never see any competitive play, not even in bronze wild because the card is shit, I'd imagine team5 managing a smile thinking some poor sod gotta actually attack with this card 80 fucking times.

And then there's the most infuriating thing; the xp reward only lasts 4 months. Why? For being too generous I'd imagine, can't fit it into the design document or that's one name crossed out of the bonus list for that year.

It's really easy if you are on Android. Just look up a apk of the game in the Internet and install it (I'm not putting any links here just to be on the save site, but I never had issues with a certain website for apk-mirror s). From there you can just play the game normally and can log in with your google account. If you do that you will even be able to find the app under the installed section in the playstore and can update it just like any other app later.

Alternatively you can also just put on a vpn for any of the soft launch countries, force stop and clear the cache for the playstore and then you should able to find the app in the Play Store through a simple search. If that doesn't work you may have to make a new google account with the active vpn before that. However you can still login with you normal account once you are done.

I don't have a Iphone, but from what I've heard you have to make a new apple account that's set in on of the softlaunch countries and then download it from the store.

However keep in mind that the game is still very much buggy in certain areas and very much unfinished. For example: when I started playing it months ago the game would heavily lag my whole phone during the tutorial, forcing me to restart it. After testing a bunch of stuff I finally found a solution. I had to install the game on a pc emulator, do the tutorial there, log into the game on my phone again and then set the graphic settings from low to high, otherwise the same thing would happen again whenever I que for a match.

That's telling in itself that Team 5 don't playtest the achievement hunting if you're glad to que into bots. Ofc it's a separate discussion completely unrelated to this but with each expansion I always ask myself: "How does Blizzard think some of these achievements will be fun to complete?"

I'm fucking crying, thanks everyone for your comments, they realy helped to cheer me up. As for the problem I'm facing, I may have it sounded like depression, but I actualy have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), which basically turn one's emotions into a complete chaos, and is the main reason why I don't interact more here as much as I want, I don't feel welcome anywhere, not even on-line, no matter how nice the people there are, cause I always manage to ruin my realations. Here's a proper explanation:

I have this shit since I was a kid, but the mental disorder reached the highest peak ever due to some IRL events. I'm completly fucked, and it's not about feeling sad, it's about feeling EXTREMELLY FUCKING HAPPY by a hour, EXTREMELLY FUCKING ANGRY on the other, and EXTREMELLY FUCKING SAD on the other, one day I feel like killing myself, the other, about killing someone, it's not a nice thing to think or say, I know, but it is what it is and I can't control it.
I'm already getting help from a psycologyst and psychiatrist, and that's the thing though, in order to have a reasonable normal day, I have to fill me with anti-psicotics and sedative to shut my emotions downs, now tell me, how am I supposed to make creative projects without feeling emotions? Because that's how I'm living my life now, like a robot, I have to feel nothing so I don't feel everithing with exageration. It's simply impossible, emotions are an essential part of making art, and custom cards and expecially expansions are art to me.
Well, I gues that's it, the treatment is long and painful, but I know it will end, just not sure when.

As for your project, I don't think I'm in a position to take it from you. I'm not making much progress on my own endeavors, including some IRL stuff: I don't want to get into the details, but I'm on the cusp of a pretty important life-changing decision and that needs my attention. I would be honored to work on it for you, but I can't give the expansion its due diligence right now :(

The flavor of the expansion is pretty cool, though, I must say. "Radioactive" could be a fun Keyword to experiment with.

My Hearthstone time has gone way down during the last months and I'm not the guy to take over your project, but if I can be of any other help, please let me know. Chances are we're living in the same corner of the world as well, I think I saw something in your text that hints at a fellow country - person.

Well, I'm actually brazilian, but as an avid metalhead, I love german music (and beer, Erdinger is the best), and often make reference to them in my cards. I mean, come on, you guys have Hellowen, Blind Guardian, Rammstein, Gamma Ray, Kreator, Sodom, etc. And ironically enough, people often reffer to me as "alemão" IRL(german in portuguese) So I'm just a brazilian that likes germany (except for the 7-1, that shit was traumatizing)

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that… Depression and similar stuff is really hard to deal with, but it can be done. I recommend seeking the help of a professional, it really helped me when I was dealing with anxiety and impostor syndrome back when I started working.

Speaking of impostor syndrome, I don't think your creativity is gone. I mean, you've been killing almost every comp you've participated in this last season. I don't want this comment to come off as frivolous, I know you're dealing with much more heavy stuff right now. I just wanted to point out that we usually perceive ourselves in a much more negative light than people around us.

The expansion sharing offer are still up for everyone, and if anyone can't complete it by themselves for any reason, perhaps just a little help with making the cards would be enough to finish it, but as I stated before, I just don't feel comfortable asking for anyone, even on-line (and none of my IRL friends play Hearthstone, which complicates things even more)

New flavor and hard to balance times. If you skip turn 5 with 5 unspent mana, you can play 10 mana card next turn. Is this OP? For me as a wild player - not so. Maybe make it only refresh mana? Also art of Oracle of Elune would be great art for this card.
