  • Burn/Miracle Shaman

Interesting take on the list, but here are some thoughts.

Nimbus is too weak a card. It’s ok for midrange, but this isn’t a midrange deck. I’d swap it out for feral spirit. Let’s you draw more with your 2 mana spells, activate overload, and protect you/your minions so you go face.

Southsea is fine. It works as a 1 drop into earthen might, but I’ve found Wartbringer to be a more consistent “deal 2” effect. Also doesn’t die on dealing 2 to a minion.

Electra has stand out moments to win games, but it’s not worth running. It’s usually just a 3 mana burn spell. It requires another card and will often overload you more than you want. Second earth shock to deal with taunts and mechs is much better.

Dire wolf doesn’t fit this burn plan. It’s meant to snowball board control, but that becomes less important by turn 4-7. You want a better 2 drop that doesn’t require board to be good. One choice is the 2/3 murloc that adds murlocs to your hand whenever you play one. Good for a board flood vs warrior, but not much else. I prefer Spellzerker, a 2 mana 2/3 that has spell damage +2 when damaged. Often will give you 2-4 damage on your spells, and has given me a couple of lethal setups by zapping it myself.

If you’re wondering why you should listen to me, I’m currently at rank 75 legend by only refining and playing aggro overload shaman. Been doing this for the last 2 seasons. Check the leaderboard if you want proof, my battle tag is the same as my username

  • Are the League of Explorers Taking on the League of E.V.I.L? Expansion Teaser

Sorry to disappoint, Kazakus is a Dragon, not Reno.

  • Next Expansion(s) Thoughts (Post Teaser reveal) for Year of the Dragon

If you pay attention to Tehkan in the Dalaran Heist, he makes a lot of cryptic references to Rafaam and why he's working for him. That could just be character building, but it isn't played for laughs and it also isn't terribly informative. Maybe Rafaam is taking Dalaran to the Lost City of the Tol'vir. I never discredit weird things in solo adventures ever since Experiment 3C in The Witchwood was a giant hint at The Boomsday Project.

I'd personally love a broad Uldum-themed set, even if just for the location. We had some desert stuff in LoE, but it was only on a handful of the cards with Stranglethorn and Uldaman also fighting for attention. It's a good open space to explore.

  • Mind Blast Apology (Hearthpwn Forum)

I'm still a little sad they removed Mind Blast, to be honest. I fully agree with the class flavour reasons, but the balance seemed on point to me. Basic and Classic cards in my eyes should be cards that aren't mainstays but can become key pieces of decks with the right synergy. Mind Blast was considered a joke card for years, and it wasn't until Shadow Visions and a bursty Priest archetype came out that it actually was played.

I also wish Radiance was just a reprint of Flash Heal. Would anyone really care if they reprinted some junker cards like that? I'd love a new Darkbomb with different flavour, for example.

  • Mind Blast Apology (Hearthpwn Forum)

It never hurts to apologise but I don't think you're wrong to disagree with rotating out mind blast just because the devs decided to do it. As far as I'm concerned the hall of fame system is a stopgap measure that doesn't address the problems inherent in evergreen cards in a satisfying way.

Sure we can keep HoF-ing basic and classic till there's nothing but useless trash left in those sets but I'd rather see a proper rotation system implemented.

  • How do you defeat bloody Warriors?

There's not a whole lot of decks that do well against both mech hunter and  warrior since they're such polar opposites, it's like asking for an element that beats rock and scissors. The best decks against mech hunter are ultra-aggressive swarm decks like token druid, murlock shaman and zoolock, whereas for warrior it depends on whether it's the bomb or the control list, although mech paladin and conjurer mage do well against both.

  • Are the League of Explorers Taking on the League of E.V.I.L? Expansion Teaser

Yeah, they did a good job this round of not letting us get bored by spacing out the content enough. I kept looking to the next week instead of waiting till the next month, which I overall prefer I guess.

  • Mind Blast Apology (Hearthpwn Forum)

Back when Hearthpwn was the main hs site, forums discussing the movement of mind blast were not uncommon. I was against that idea, and I didn’t articulate my feelings in the most polite way. To anyone who may remember all of that stuff: You’re right and I’m sorry.

  • Next Expansion(s) Thoughts (Post Teaser reveal) for Year of the Dragon

I remember when that image first came out a lot of people were thinking Uldaman, or something similar to that.  I think in the video revealing Rise of Shadows, Kozak had a line that said we'd go on a year long adventure that takes players to the great heights to great depths (or something like that).  That added to some thoughts of an underground location.

Either way, it would appear that the LoE team will either be following the EVIL team to stop them from obtaining some ancient treasure (or weapon).  OR perhaps they are searching out a weapon of their own to try and take back Dalaran.

My thoughts are that Rafaam and team may unleash some larger evil force or entity requiring a trip through the Caverns of Time in expansion 3 to undo something they do in expansion 2.

  • A Ripple in time [The Easiest TTK]

36 hours into brawl, this deck is rapidly losing steam to shammy and pally.  I was at 60% win rate and it has dropped to 50% (which implies below 50% win rate).

  • Favourite Voicelines from Dalaran Heist

I really like Bartender Bob's line, "You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here."

  • Next Expansion(s) Thoughts (Post Teaser reveal) for Year of the Dragon

Not a bad theory. If this is going to be an entire year of nostalgia and throwbacks, if Dalaran was the GvG set then the next two might be LoE and Blackrock.

    Quote From Horus

You know how it goes, it is merely the beginning of the pre-hype pre-reveal season. Expansion launch isn't for an other almost 2 months ^^

I'm guessing August 8th, so yeah... 6 weeks (or a month and a half)

  • Are the League of Explorers Taking on the League of E.V.I.L? Expansion Teaser

It's likely going to be an early August release, which fits in line with most previous releases.

  • Are the League of Explorers Taking on the League of E.V.I.L? Expansion Teaser

Ever since we learned the story of these three expansions would be connected and Rafaam was the ring leader in expansion 1, I had a strong feeling the LoE team would be part of expansion 2 this year.  Re-imagining LoE might not be the best way to think of it, but I know a lot of people were predicting an Uldaman type expansion next.

So yeah, there could be some similarities.  Maybe instead of Bartender Bob we ride a runaway mine cart down different paths to see what additions or alterations we can make to our solo player decks!  lol

  • Are the League of Explorers Taking on the League of E.V.I.L? Expansion Teaser

I could actually see them making the Explorers neutral but they each recruit a new team member who then fits into one of the four remaining classes.

Either way, I can't wait to see what Elise the third shuffles into our decks next!

  • Next Expansion(s) Thoughts (Post Teaser reveal) for Year of the Dragon

We know that with the teaser reveal it's going to relate to the League of Explorers.

    Based on this image...

I can only guess that the 2nd expansion is going to be about the League delving into maybe the Temple of AQ? The symbols look like Heiroglyphs, and we know that the original League of Explorers expansion did have some references to Anubisath Sentinels and Jeweled Scarabs, so it's not entirely impossible to think they may do more "digging" in AQ temples.

Based on the information that the entire "year of the dragon" is themed according to the devs.  We have the "Dalaran Heist" as the 1st expansion,  an unnamed League of Explorers style expansion for the 2nd image.  The 3rd image is not one I'm familiar with but it has what appears to be molten lava behind the card on the top, and a claw/tooth on the bottom.  I can only surmise that it may reference another expansion regarding Deathwing possibly Grim Batol?

    Anyhow, what's everyone else's thoughts?

Both 0/1's from Sindragosa gave me King Krush.  What are the chances?

  • How do you defeat bloody Warriors?

I think you're seeing Warriors and Mech Hunters because Mech Hunter is a hard counter to Warrior. So, you could put together a Mech Hunter with bombs (I like to call it Bomb Hunter). You could also go for Mech Paladin. Mage with Conjurer's Calling is also competititive against Warrior. Bomb Hunter is a pretty cheap deck to put together and you don't need Boom Master Flark. Zilliax and Leeroy Jenkins, though, make a big difference.

Another option would be to use Secret Hunter. It's not as successful against warrior as Bomb Hunter, but it has a better chance against Rogue than Bomb Hunter has.

  • How do you defeat bloody Warriors?

    Hey yo,

I managed to claw my way up to 13 which was really fun (well once I got my first decent deck). I first used Midrange Hunter, then Silent Priest, then Token Druid and then finally Face Priest.

Now all of a sudden all I get is Warrior opponents and Mech Hunters, but mostly Warriors. I am obliterated pretty much every game now.

Any tips or tricks to defeat them? 15 - 13 seems like Warrior paradise. I never really hated a hero... but this steroid meathead is really annoying the hell out of me.
