It's extremely convenient for me this time, as I'm watching most games of the (football) Euros and don't have much time to engage with the Hearthstone reveals at all. That will gradually get better during the next days, as the tournament nears its end and there are fewer games per day. So yay from me for this specific weekend that has just ended.
In a vaccum, I'd prefer a constant flow of cards to keep the hype up. They should be revealed in bundles of synergising stuff imo, getting standalone reveals makes theorycrafting very hard. So ideally, I'd like to see a somewhat shorter but ongoing reveal season until the expansion launch.
I do appreciate that you guys can enjoy your weekend without somebody having to stay on watch all the time though <3
Red Ball 4 is a captivating physics-based game where players navigate a red ball through challenging levels filled with obstacles, puzzles, and enemies. The game requires precise timing and strategic thinking to overcome traps and reach the goal safely.
Patches the pilot - Its a decent enough card that it'll see play and likely most dhunters would play it because why not? The only real downside is that it massively affects skull of guldan which isnt in standard. Otherwise, I cant see why wouldnt any deck play this. Good one drop that have the potential to highroll and each token deals 1 damage at least to face. I personally am always afraid of cards like these because its win rates are usually middling and yet its always in every deck forcing you to craft it just to play that class.
and most shamans.
now we have to evaluate all class cards for 2x classes, I wonder what shaman's tourist card would be. If DH gets pirate synergy maybe shaman gets weapon synergy and tourist card will synergize with weapon ?
we know that shaman gets spell school synergy thanks to Buttons so shaman gets controllish archetype from its own and aggro-ish one from dh.
It's a good opportunity for team5 to make 2x-3x archetypes for all classes with cards from other classes, i hope they didn't miss it.
Discovering Locations can be pretty powerful especially if we're assuming we see this mostly in Reno and other slow decks that are looking for anything to give them an additional tool for winning the game. There's a few locations that aren't necessarily good everywhere, but enough that this should be worth a shot.
This just seems like a slower Instrument Tech with more steps. There aren't any relevant weapons in Standard that cost less than 6 (at least right now) so I do not think this card is going to make the cut.
Even though we've only seen one drink spell so far, we know from Bunch of Bananas and Barrel of Monkeys that a spell with multiple uses is a pretty good deal. We're probably not going to see a lot of this card - the 2-Drop "random generation" slot in most Reno decks is filled by Watcher of the Sun, who has Ignis synergies.
I gave it 5 stars just for the cheese pun, but it wouldn't be hard to convince me to give it 5 stars on power alone. Both Zarimi Priest and Flood Paladin (and potentially other Aggro decks) could use a card that gives you an instant board presence for only 2 Mana, and that's before we get to the idea of using it to summon a trio of 10-Drops.
A 5/4 for 4 that lets you "draw" two cards for 1 Mana? Sounds good, sign me up. It doesn't feel so overpowered that I feel we're going to see it everywhere, but it's certainly a card with utility and I think a lot of decks are going to want what it gives them. I feel pretty confident in saying that, at the very least, we're going to see Rogue attempting to abuse this with Sonya Waterdancer.
This feels like it's attempting to fill the same niche as Razorscale, but in a more restrictive way. We don't see anyone playing Razorscale, so I don't imagine we'll see anyone playing this.
This has some intriguing possibilities with Magnetic but it's unlikely to be much more than a tool Control decks use to keep the opponent's board under control in the midgame. This is a 4-Mana minion that can eat a Giant, maybe somebody finds a use for that. I'm almost sold on the idea of a control Mech Warrior playing this in tandem with Furious Furnace. In Wild, people are obviously going to be trying to OTK with this and Soulbound Ashtongue.
I don't think we expect to see anyone running this in anything other than Ogreload decks designed solely to play as many Ogre related cards as possible. They took two of the least-played cards in Classic (Boulderfist Ogre and Nat Pagle) and smushed them together.
A 1-cost Kazakus potion is pretty strong; I'd expect to see this for sure in some Reno decks but it honestly could be a card that sees play in a variety of decks. For me, it's the perfect blend of good and fun.
I dunno, the flavour is extremely on-point. It's a tour guide showing locations that you can see to your left and to your right. The flavour text also points at it being deliberately designed this way, which, I know they can change it, but they usually don't change the flavour text when final design reworks a card.
I think they just wanted to do something new with locations, since they're still a pretty under-explored card type.

Mixologist - There is effectively no reason to not play this card. Only real downside is that stat to cost, of which the potion somewhat covers for you. OP as hell, and luckily it has a signature card that will very likely be available in the track.
Package dealer - Garbage card whenever, wherever, and whatever. At least its good stats for cost
Octo-Masseuse - Just a lol card that has little to no applications outside of arena. Because realistically team5 couldve just granted this at least rush/taunt and it would still probably not see any play. The only real niche it has is its incredibly high health and so might sometimes be useful to priest if inner fire is in standard. Otherwise its the sort of neverplayed gimmick card that is usually reserved for epics.
Lora is such a confusing design, to the point where it almost feels like its original design was something much stronger (and not as random) before they had to change it at the last second. It's not very interesting, it's unreliable, and it seems very weak on the whole even if we got a bunch of big locations in this expansion. Something definitely went wrong here.
Its probably too slow, and in my opinion isnt really a winning play unless its full on attrition control being top meta again, which it probably wouldnt. Im not discounting that the grub could see play in a reno deck but I doubt its win rate is gonna be anywhere near spectacular. Most classes nowadays have better draw options that are cheaper.
But we'll see if there is in fact more options to do with the suitcase. For now, to me its only real application is in arena. Wouldnt be the first epic card to see absolutely zero play in constructed.
How do you feel about no reveals on the weekends?

New Neutral Minion - A. F. Kay
Yeah, this feels like a weirdly slow card for Constructed - are we sure this wasn't supposed to be a Battlegrounds card?
New Neutral Minion - Drink Server
Even though we've only seen one drink spell so far, we know from Bunch of Bananas and Barrel of Monkeys that a spell with multiple uses is a pretty good deal. New Neutral Minion - Bumbling Bellhop
Could be a fun card for Undead Buff DK or Taunt Warrior; conditional copies like this usually don't see the light of day.
New Neutral Minion - Customs Enforcer
This feels like it's attempting to fill the same niche as Razorscale, but in a more restrictive way. We don't see anyone playing Razorscale, so I don't imagine we'll see anyone playing this.
