Hey all! We are two weeks into the new expansion and I wonder, as always, where´s everyone at. Since noone has started a new thread and I´m too impatient, I figured to take the imaginary torch back from Tetsuo and create the next one once again :P Feel free to share your progress here, lurk in from time to time or completely ignore this thread, whatever you like :) So let me start:

Like always, I´ve hoarded 3 Weekly and Daily quests and bought the TP from day one, so the first day of expansion I´ve jumped to lvl 26. I´ve started to focus on doing XP achievements, I´m at 50% done right now, and just hit lvl 60 thanks to that. My free Legendaries from RT was Crabatoa on lvl 20 and Raj Naz'jan from lvl 50. I still have 6 of this week´s quests, so I´m expecting/hoping to hit lvl 70 by the end of the week to get that sweet 20% bonus :)

Let the hunt begin!

All of the new cards have been revealed, so it's time to talk about the archetypes, packages, and/or individual cards that interest us the most! Naturally, I'll start us off:

To be forthright, I was on the verge of quitting Hearthstone before the reveals began, but something about this expansion pulled me back in. I'm hoping the commitment to moving HS back to the board will actually work out, but we've been here before. I guess we'll see. Anyway, in order by class followed by Neutral:

Demon Hunter: Artificer Xy'mox + the Relics

I don't know where to put them just yet, but they seem fun. I was thinking of a token deck so you can Infuse Xy'mox (and Sire Denathrius?) properly; the Relics have a fairly universal quality to them, so it's just a matter of finding a home.

Druid: Sesselie of the Fae Court and the DR package, Topior the Shrubbagazzor and the Treants/Nature package

All aboard the Druid Train, toot toot! DR Taunt Druid with Hadronox and N'Zoth, the Corruptor is one of my favorite decks of all time, so Sesselie can go right into that alongside Hedge Maze and Death Blossom Whomper. Hopefully the Mini-Set expands on the package further, 'cause there isn't a lot here right now.

Topior is just fucking nuts, and will be quite enjoyable in a deck focused around it or as an additional bonus with Treants. If I don't get Topior in gold I will fix that mistake very quickly.

Mage: Kel'Thuzad, the Inevitable + the Volatile Skeleton cards

Control the board with Frost spells and pings before the...Inevitable...combo of Kael'thas Sinstrider, Brann Bronzebeard, and Kel'Thuzad. Just pulling it off the once might be enough to satisfy me lol. I also hope to make Kel'Thuzad golden, and play him alongside my Kel'Thuzad skin of course :)

Warlock: Lady Darkvein - Going right into my Curselock.

Neutral: Sire Denathrius - Someone will figure out how best to enjoy him, and I want to be there when it happens. Edit: He seems disgusting in Druid, from what little I've seen so far in streams.

Kael'thas Sinstrider - I don't generally do Combo things, but he is a pretty important part of the "Kael'Thuzad" combo.

Stoneborn General and Bog Beast - The General is awesome, will love to cheat that out. Bog Beast is kind of the next Sludge Belcher, a card that saw a lot of play (and still does).

So how about you? What are you hoping to pull + play Day 1?

Mogwai already mentioned this in his last video but sharpsight isn't a keyword granter and shouldn't level Kaisa at burst speed.

90% of the broken evolve mechanic can be tracked to this interaction.

So streamers are starting to complain about the meta after the new set.

While generally on board with straight forward powerhouse decks like Annie and Bard they are drawing the line at the 3 new tempo oriented Champs introduced with the new set.

Now I understand the issue, if you're a streamer whose credibility depends on getting to masters you're gonna hate teching between control Annie, big follower Bard, and big Champs from the new set.

Infact the meta in un-techable there is no best climbing option, and honestly I'm kinda fine with it. 

We've talked in detail about how nobody wanted to nerf Annie and Bard so instead the devs just released a bunch of counters.

So its going to feel like queuing into a whirlwind but if you don't care about being the most hard-core try hard that ever was you can actually have a lot of fun with the new cards and opponents you'll run into.

Not everything needs a solution, not all problems need to be solved sometimes you just have to enjoy the journey the devs have laid out for you.
