New patch is out and there were many reasonable changes made which tuned down bannerman and fearsome spiders quite decently.

While I like that the meta is changing I encountered a sort of aggro deck that I have no clue how to stop:

Ephemeral burn (SI + P&Z) with Kalista and Hecarim as the Champions.

Since Kalista got buffed it is laughable easy for ephemeral decks to level her right when she is played using Haunted Relic, Shark Chariot, Used Cask Salesman or simply Hecarim and once you have flipped her she and hecarim spawn free ephemerals on attack who feed nicely into their Phantom Prankster

If you think that this sounds already quite hard to stop i got to remind you that this deck also has Mystic Shot and Get Excited! to finish you WHILE also having always the option to blow up the board with The Ruination since they dont really have a board to loose

I personally dont see a way to control this deck and it seems to me that you only can rush that deck down

This was leaked from the polish Runeterra Facebook page (according to a reddit user). I'm pretty sure its real, just because it would be too difficult for someone to make all of this art just to create a fake leak. 

Im new. Im a silver 5 player. I wanted to rank up at least to gold rank. Im using warlock zoo but it seems its not that good right now. Im playing standard. Is it me or is warlock decks are kinda weak at this current meta. Sorry this is probably nothing new to you guys. Hehe

In the Ungoro Expansion Guide, the image of the Maiev Shadowsong hero portrait is now a golden Maiev Shadowsong instead. I'm sure this happened in a lot of places where the portrait image was posted. 

Everyone complaining about how there is no counter to elusive units and how the game is ruined by an "uninteresting mechanic," then threaten to quit and uninstall the game. Go do it then lol.

The issue isn't with Elusives, the issue is with your inability to understand that more likely you'll be fighting elusives and will need counter cards. So many people are currently hopping on the Bannerman express because of its round 4 power spike, and yet they complain that all the power and health in the world can't stop an Ionia deck. Guess what, YOU'RE RIGHT. What good is that when you are getting bodied by a Solitary Monk with Stand Alone and by Shadow Assassins?

So now you been known that power and health alone don't counter elusive attacks. Well you know what does, that is commonly found in every goddamn Bannerman deck? CHALLENGER UNITS, SINGLE COMBAT, and PURIFY. WOW! How many Fleet Feathertrackers (challenger) have I went against, paired with War Chefs or Laurent Chevalier (also challenger btw). You can (oh my god) CHALLENGE the elusives in battle and force them to defend!
Oh what? The enemy had enough mana for Twin Disciples or variant of a Barrier spell? Well if you were smart enough to perceive it, you should have Purify to nullify EVERYTHING.

Another fun factoid is that you can counter elusives with OTHER elusives. And Frostbite. And Vengeance. And Drain. And Noxus Guillotine. And simply having a spread out board so that they will have to defend against something or take hella damage/lethal. 

elusive is un-interactive and boring, and everyone knows it.  also shadow assassin would be fine as a 3 mana 2/2 that draws a card. u have added elusive to it as if elusive is worth 0 mana. are you stupid? are you insane? fix this garbage... thx

...for I have sinned. I have given into the temptation and dealt with Demon (Hunters). I could not resist the siren song of Legend and the promise of a free Classic Legendary, so I did the unspeakable and steamrolled from Diamond 5 to Legend with only 20 wins.

Appropriately I was rewarded with King Mukla like the disgusting Ape I am. BUt alas, I am free from the pressure of ever having to reach Legend again and can now focus on what is truly important in life....pretending like I actually know how to build decks and then claim I found a new way to game the meta.

So anyways, how's your climb going? I got really lucky I guess, because I only ran into a single Galakrond Warlock and only two Priests (one of which I even beat....barely). Tempo DH is pretty disgusting and I honestly can't see the staying this way forever. At some point Battlefiend will have to be nerfed, it's ridiculous how hard that thing takes games from turn 1. It's like Pirate Warrior all over again.

Does anyone know if we're getting an event this year?  I can't seem to find anything current.

I know Runeterra is not currently as popular as HS, not in this site and not yet in general, but I think it would help if there was a dedicated thread for initially every bunch of cards reveal and maybe later every card like in hearthstone? it might make the game more popular on the site or in general bring more discussion.

If anything I am asking you what are your plans on the spoiler season for Runeterra?

But what I really wanna know is - who else is excited to cook up some sweet mill deck strategies!? What's your thoughts on Maokai's overall design? 

Since there is no dedicated reveal thread for every card, cause the game is not as popular yet ( :( )

I want to disscuss the new cards revealed they don't seem as strong as previous cards but I think they are worth discussing.

Maokai - I already mentioned it in the article comments but he isn't playable by itself, making a 2/1 ethereal challenger for 4 mana AND summoning another unit is really weak also being a 1/4.. guess he is like heimer a champion that never attack and is a generator of sort.. but turrets for every spells is probably much much better than  a 2/1 challenger once every turn.

Also I am not that big of a believer in his effect you need to wait 4 turns for your opponent to lose, most games don't get to 10 mana anyway..

also I think tossing or killing your units 25 times is a LOT and it's certainly not easy, so dunno it comes online quite late but if you play a full controll/fatigue deck.. alright I guess. I see a potential synergy with hecarim though so who knows.. maybe he is good enough as he takes around 2 turns to really pay for itself tempowise.. at least it can block and you wouldn't feel too bad about playing him defensively as contrary to heimer.

Sap Magic- not sure really 3 mana heal everything 3 for 3 cards you would never draw anyway seems good for a fatigue deck, maybe also other decks looking for healing, healling your units is very niche in hs such effect costs 2 and heals for 6 in priest, I think that if you are not looking at tossing as an upside then this card is not worth running.

Thorny Toad - a 1/4 statline for 2 is very defensive can save you quite a lot of time looking for those removal options, specially with the heal for 2, which I think is fine in maokai decks, this probably fits such builds

Deadbloom Wanderer - a 3/2 lifesteal for 3 in hs it's garbage but here most of the time units do trade.. a 2/2 lifesteal for 3 is not that great, but one attack is probably important cause of fearsome and the 3 hp breakpoints. also toss archtype who knows..

Overgrown Snapvine - now I think this card is really interesting but VERY costly, it can create a lot of copies of itself summoning spiders.. also enable death triggers I can't wait to build around this card seems really fun.. but is it good? nah probably not.. costs too much but certainly good in sacrificial decks.

This new matchmaking system takes some getting used to!

Not played much on my NA account this month, so thought would play a few bronze/silver games for fun.  I know things have changed so your MMR is the basis for matchups while you have star bonus, though I've not been able to see the rank of my opponents during games.

Added a friend after a long game (I lost), and was interested to see what the differences in ranks were.  I was silver 8 - he was Legend 68.  He of course won't have a star bonus and at Legend is presumably matched via MMR as well same as me.

Working as intended I am sure, but basing matchups only on MMR leads to some surprising matchups :)  I was only Rank 5 last season on NA (60% winrate 15-10).

I totally understand that with everyone resetting to Bronze 10 each season, you don't want Legend players crushing lower skill players and that's fair enough. 

Presumably:

- at my current Silver rank and facing high Legend players, I'm actually going to have "easier" matchups once I climb to somewhere in Diamond, lose my star bonus and face opponents based on Rank?

- I can't face high diamond players who are not matched via MMR if they don't have star bonus anymore?

Do I understand that right or have a got things wrong here?

Oh well, off to play more top 100 Legend players from the bottom of Silver :P

I'm thinking about crafting Zixor, Apex Predator for a variation of Dragon Hunter with Scavenger Ingenuity (tutor for Phase Stalkers too). Has anyone tried it, does it feel like a strong improvement on the original deck?

About half of my games at Diamond 1 are like this. I've been bouncing between the bottom of rank 2 and the top of rank 1 for 3 days. Nearly every game is a one sided highroll. I hate this deck but am only playing it out of desperation at a friends recommendation - I was previously playing tempo warrior and miracle druid and got 1 or 2 games away from legend but was forcefed losses. I swear at this point my account has a bad RNG seed or something.

I wanted to share something I found interesting with you all.

I knew my opponent's secret was likely Bamboozle so I decided to attack his large Edwin VanCleef thinking "It'll still be smaller when it's a 6 drop.  Turns out what it turned into was Imprisoned Antaen.  The 6 drop demon when Dormant right away, yet... I still took 10 face damage as my hero attacked into a Dormant token!

I feel like this is not an intended interaction.  Or if it is, it shouldn't be.  You aren't supposed to be able to interact with Dormant minions, even in this instance.  At least that's my opinion.  Curious to hear the thoughts/opinions of the rest of you on this particular interaction.

When you play Zephrys against a dormant demon, eg Imprisoned Antaen, do you think he should offer you Sacrificial Pact? (From my recent experience, it appears he currently does not.) Zephrys does sometimes do forward planning, eg offering you a card at next turn's mana cost. So maybe he should also plan for when a demon will awaken. What do you think?

This guide will show you, step by step, how to import your collection data from HSReplay.net to OutOf.Cards Hearthstone Collection.

1. Login to HSReplay.net and navigate to your collection - https://hsreplay.net/collection/mine.
2. Hit F12 to open your browser's console.
3. Click on the console's networking tab.
   
4. Reload the page.
   
5. Using the filter on the network area, search for "account_lo".
   
6. Right-click on the URL that pops up and open it in a new tab.
   
7. Switch to "Raw Data" tab, select entire content of that page and copy it.
   
8. Paste the copied content from previous step into the new field in collection management and click "Submit collection".
   
9. A pop-up appears in top-right informing you that "Your collection is in a queue for saving. Please wait!".
   
10. After a while, another pop-up appears informing your that "Collection successfully updated".
    
11. Done!

Notes:

• The JSON import is now destructive -- i.e. it clears your entire collection, then replaces it with whatever's in the JSON. You no longer need to request a manual reset. (This is very handy for those of us with Macs, since the JSON approach is the only bulk option we have right now.)
• If you do need to reset your collection manually for some reason, there's actually a way to do it yourself. Just go to My Hearthstone collection -> Edit collection. When you land there, the default search shows all your cards (every set, every rarity). Click the Bulk Remove Filtered From Collection button, and it will remove all those cards from your collection. Since these are all your cards, that leaves your collection empty.

Katarina added effect to base form : play: create a fleeting Blade's Edge (not known if to upgraded as well.. seems like not). not changing too much I think..

Vanguard Bannerman - no longer buff itself (stays a 3/3 instead of being a 4/4 when it's effect tirggers)

I know this is/was discussed at the start of 2020, but I really dislike the fact that every game has his post on the homepage. Normally it didnt bother me, but Ashes went live tuesday and I believe Runeterra had something else this week.

Because of that Runeterra event I have a feeling one of the best expansion of Hearthstone is a bit underwhelmed.  I visit this site daily (who's core is Hearthstone) and this week there wasnt any Hearthstone on top of the homepage, every time it was Runeterra.

That is why I look forward to filter the homepage. Love the rest of the si<3
