I probably a bit salty right now, but is the matchmaking bugged?

Finnally crafted down odd paladin, and 2 out of 3 match againts a warlock, who plays Despicable Dreadlord. I have seen that since it was in STANDARD. Obvioualy i didn't draw any weapon to kill and lost the game. Then i say "if so many non-big priesf control deck are here, finally let's play jade druid". Immedietly a murloc, who kills me over 6 turn.

Wtf this matchmaking? I'm the only onw who feels this way?

So, I finally crafted Genn a couple days ago, and already I've fallen for Even Shaman. So I decided to start a thread for anything and everything Even Shaman - lists, strategies, matchups or just stories. Any insight welcome. I'm currently at 10-4 with the deck at ranks 5-4, however I rotate between two lists: one with walking fountains, corpsetakers and some extra hex action; the other with thunderheads, likkims and some extra overload cards like zap and that 4 mana BRM 'gain X attack' boy. Would love to hear from folks who run/ran either or both.

So, yeah, Even Shaman archetype. Hope this is enough to start a discussion!

Ok. So you start your game of HS. Both are at 1 mana, nothing too crazy can happen. Then, all of a sudden, a couple of turns later, some really crazy stuff happens and you (or your opponent :)) is dead or completely done for on board. 

So I think we all agree this should not be possible at turn 1 (no fun there). But what would the minimal turn be to have a crazy comeback/miracle/combo/insane-rng turn?

Turn 2? Turn 3? 4? 5?

I am not talking about aggro decks who try to kill you by turn 5 if you do not react by using cheap resources.

But we have some typical examples, like Khadgar's mountain giant army on turn 5 or a very big van Cleef very early, or a board full of pimped murlocs with bloodlust. Stuff like that.

I've played around 70+ arena runs so far, and I didn't use heartharena because I was learning out the game-mode. However, in each game, there's some sort of a skill-cap on what you can learn by yourself, and what you can learn by using guides etc...

So should I use HearthArena or not? It does feel a little counter-intuitive as it would make me a worse player, too dependant on the thing.

Whirliglider is quite similar to Bomb Toss. Replacing a 2-damage with a 2/1 minion.

While classic cards are known to be weaker than class cards, I think (and you'll agree) that this card is underpowered.

If it is to be given mech, then it would suddenly become more plausible, you'll get 2 mechs to magnetize later.

This isn't a troll thread btw xD. I need you to take this seriously, and tell me valid logical counterarguments.

So, is this enough?

Not fall into the complacent lackadaisical work ethic that we had on Hearthpwn in the last few year. Content quality fell a lot in the past year.

Use this new found energy to keep the site lively and thriving. Create content continuously and not just when a news story breaks from Blizzard. You can't build a site on news alone. Articles about CCG's in addition to news would be great and more of a reason to come back. Inspire discussions and interest. DIg deeper into the games beyond just pasting Blizzard press releases and have actual articles about the games. So many topics that can be explored beyond nerfs and new cards. It will get people more involved in the site and coming back often. A great model is 'Blizzard Watch' and what they do and they are a successful website that was created from a corporate entity shutting 'WoWInsider' down.

Small, dumb suggestion. Why not have it be “Change a Hearthstone Card” or “Rebalance a Hearthstone Card”. This might drum up more discussion about what’s too good or bad instead of just making the forum about wanted nerfs. Or that’s too similar to Card Discussion. Idk.

I liked the filter system there was on Hearthpwn. I would like to see the same there, as well as the ability to choose AND/OR connector between filters (and therefore the possibility to make filter groups). Advanced filtering capabilities are very useful for fan card makers (to compare stats and such). I know the regular HS player won't need those but they aren't forced to use it. I still think the current mono-choice system is too restrictive even for a regular player.

Also, choices in the expansion list can't be de-selected. There should be a "--------" option like other select bars.

I would like to share an opinion towards the division in content offered on the homepage. I think forum threads should be more visible, in the main menu as well as the main layout of the homepage.

I understand why decks and cards are so important, but I think the returning members value threads a lot. There are no notifications as of now, which makes having to search for the thread a lot of work (unless I'm missing something).

I have no idea what pages are being visited most, so it might be done this way because of SEO/user-friendly reasons. If so, please ignore my reasoning. I just think it can be visible more.

i like this site very much and i like hearthpwn too, because of the great staff, so i want to help them as much as possible, considering my self as a loyal member of this website, i want to share my ideas instead of keeping it for my self. 

- Changing the color. 

 Black is a color that brings despair and sadness, it is good and beautiful in term of desgin, but it doesn't have good feelings coming from it. 

  x SUGGESTIONS: 

 - Yellowish color, it's the game's main color. 

 - The color of  the latest expansion, but that would be exhausting for the staff i think. 

- Cards entrace voiceline and intro music.

This was one of the best features Hearthpwn had, but we know they stopped doing this feature, please bring it back here. 

- Card's Winrate through its history. 

 This is a hard one, and i hope they do it but it's really hard.

A while back I randomly had the thought - could Hearthstone add 0 health minions into the game?

I immediately thought that it's actually impossible, but on second thought - it could have a deathrattle? But that idea sounds pretty stupid imo.
Why make a card that needs to instantly die when being played?

I thought again and wondered if these types of minions would work if they had a magnetic effect?
That'd remove the problem of them instantly dying, but then again, another magnetic card that will probably be used to hit the opponent's face is probably a bad idea.

What are your thoughts? :)

Recently I've tried using the collectible card filter page here on OoC, and while the filtering function seems to be very efficient and quick, one window in particular was a bit difficult to use. The specific window I'm talking about is the expansion selector - it is rather small compared to the amount of things you can select from. While I do understand that the window is built the way it is because it allows for multiple selections (and not a simple drop-down menu like the rest of the inputs on that page), it is a bit janky to use on the user-side of things.

I've put together a proposed solution (quickly, in paint - don't judge ^_^) in which the "expansion" window is simply enlarged to be the size of 2 "lines" (vertically speaking). This allows for way more lines to be displayed and makes it easier to navigate and select from. I have to preface this by saying I don't possess any technical knowledge regarding implementation - so I might be proposing something which is impossible or just not worth the hassle - but I think it would be great if something like this could be done.

Hey, quick quality of life request!

Is there any chance you could get the deck code copy feature to include the name of the deck when it's imported into hearthstone.

It works like that on HS Replay and is handier than having to rename "Custom Priest" each time!

Sometimes your opponent just has the best possible cards. Say a perfect curve, the exact right response for your board, having lethal just in time, or exactly the right removal (yes Warrior I look at you). I can't help feel a little desparate and sometimes just concede far too early since I do not believe I can come back.

What is the best way to cope with this emotions? Just play on and play as good as possible? Get more chocolate? Kick the door/dog/wall?

I'm seeing a lot of topics being created here, which is great of course, but I wonder how many might be duplicates asking for / reporting the same thing or nearly the same thing? There is no way to see if what you're asking hasn't already been requested or reported.

So my suggestion is to create a sticked topic in this forum where you show the list of most requested features that have already been noted and bugs that have been reported. That way people can quickly check that list and see if their feature request or bug report has already been made. Not everyone is going to read it but hopefully it'll help filter out the duplicates.

As for feature request mine is:

Have an option to show the card images in the Cards section. For me that has always been the easiest way to quickly browse multiple cards. The cards themselves show all their information so it seems like a good way to display a list of cards.

And my bug report:

If you use Shift + Enter in the text editor, then (on my Firefox at least) you can't use the Spacebar anymore. It won't add a space in the text. Could be underlying HTML or something with the editor itself. Shift + Enter is what I use in certain text editors to avoid unneeded space between lines, though I'm not sure if that matters on this forum.

Hello beautiful people of out of cards :)

So I got a doppelgangster buff 3 times in bob's tavern.

One to reduce it costs to 0.

One to buff it +2/+2

One so it starts in my hand everygame.

I was happy to start each game with 3 4/4 for 0 mana :D

But I only get 1 4/4 and 2 2/2

Why is that? Is that a bug?

Let's be frank, MTGA is a whole new beast and as such, deserved another OOC entirely for it. Do you guys think you'll ever have men power to launch a robust MTGA Section here? With all it deserves: meta reports, decks, articles, guides, etc? Or is OOC destined to a "mmochampion" fate, to have MMO in the name but be actually a gigantic WoW fan site?

I mean, I love HS, it's my old wife by MTGA is my new 18yo lover so... Thirsty for more!

The forum MTGA section is dead... I wrote 3 posts including a new thread and almost a week later, not a single reply.

on mobile, decks are not that important, i think.

on mobile i'm mostly here for news and the forums.

Within the race filter of cards there are a lot of inclusions which seem odd like: goblin2, but also things like orc or night elf, which we don't have in Hearthstone.

Would be nice if the filter could be improved
