This is like a better Astral Communion to me. It'll reduce all your big things to 1, and mana and card draw are something druid does super well. You don't have to worry about accidentally drawing strong minions and having to discard them, and your opponent probably can't make as much use as you can
Wasn't the tauren given a name other than guff runetotem though? Iirc they were the one writing the un'goro lore teasers
Edit: The name I was thinking of was Eddie Malone, can't see if they were confirmed to be the tauren so maybe I just made that assumption at some point?
When I first learned of ranked spells, I was like, "Oh, those could be really powerful in Druid. Maybe Druid won't even get them."
When I saw this was a Druid ranked spell, I was like, "Uh-oh, they actually gave a ranked spell to Druid. Is it broken?"
After I read the card, I was like, "Ah, so they didn't actually give Druid a ranked spell. This is fine."
Targeted draw is always playable, and the mana reduction keeps it from utterly sucking, but let's be real: This is an utter waste of a ranked spell. They could have released the middle version on its own, and it would be exactly as good as this ranked version.
To make proper use of the ranked mechanism, the scaling part should be something like a stat boost, or even adding increasingly potent keywords, or an additional keyword at each rank.
I think having it draw more beasts would've been a better way to do it and just keep the 1 mana discount. I think they tried to account for druid's ramp but ended up making it too wea
That could also work, I didn't see any of the art hints sharing the features of the other gang bosses but they could also be saving aya and don for the stream
It has premium stats though so any secrets you get will be profit. Like against a mage with 3 secrets you're getting 9 mana of secrets essentially for free
Does this mean we know which spells go into what spell schools now or do we need to wait till the 25th?
Tbf they said spell schools would be explored more in the mini-expansion so maybe we'll get our emo anduin cards then?

Imagine if they release no other deathrattle minions and we have to wait till the mini-expansion for the real deathrattles
You could trade off the deathrattles and make value trades/just hit face with buffed minions, it's probably a little too slow
The more mrrgls the better!
Unfortunately the wyverns are 5-cost so the rhino won't be summoned, blizzard stole our perfect combo
Also adds extra value to any beasts that were already on the board

Idk, its Prince Keleseth plus Mark of the Wild plus Smuggler's Run in one card, I can definitely see it finding a place somewhere in the class that has dudes on demand
If you were to play Grizzled Wizard then this, would your opponent get the hero power for 2 mana or 0? And would it switch back for them after 2 uses?

Yep, hopefully Don Han'Cho gets a similarly good treatment. They definitely seem to be better at designing handbuff cards this time around
The leaked legendaries show a human paladin and forsaken warlock so looks like those are probably the mercs like you said
Even though it costs 4x as much, I feel like the new paladin spell will be much better than Smuggler's Run.
Also a more niche but more powerful Violet Teacher might not be bad if there's a lot of cheap holy spells
This even works with both N'Zoths so I'd be shocked if this sees no play in either format
I wanted to enjoy them, I tried so hard to get them to work but to no avail

Plus Kazakus being revealed might mean Don Han'Cho also comes back with some (hopefully better) handbuff cards
