Members of the Horde, Quilboars, and aspiring Mercenaries! Welcome to the Out of Cards final card reveal stream recap post for Forged in the Barrens!

  • 66 new cards have been revealed in total - 41 during the stream, 25 on the official site after.
  • The mercenaries are still early on in their experience, sort of like level 14 characters. We'll see the characters grow over the next year up to that level 60.

  • Lmao, Deathrattle DH is such a joke lol, the Druid getting even bigger and better minions was just the icing on the cake. I thought there would actually be some good deathrattles lol

  • At this point it feels like they are almost overcompensating with Demon Hunter. They dominated the last year and now they get...this...whatever this is supposed to accomplish.

     

    Also I feel like if Gibberling isn#t nerfed in some way our collective souls will hurt for a very long time.

  • Honestly, I know that this is kind of a meme, but is aggro actually dead for once?

    Like, we just got a 3-mana Rotten Applebaum, alongside all those other taunts, boardclears, lifegains, etc... and add to that the removal of 50% of available burn.

    I'm genuinely confused as to how I'm supposed to win games as Hunter if chipping down opponents doesn't seem to be a viable strategy. I don't think Highmane can carry all by itself, even with Dire Frenzy

  • I have to admit, this might honestly be one of the most tolerable reveal streams of recent memory (which isn't saying much, I didn't watch the last one).

    Liv honestly is great at keeping Regis on track and not letting him just ramble endlessly and frustrating chat (which has happened so often in the past)

    • Agreed,  She just said "I didn't think Demon Hunter could lose!" which made me laugh.

      Hope Team 5 use her next time she was fun.

    Meanwhile Hunter gets Kodobame like that helps them in any way

    • That warrior weapon looks like a bad move. Even Liv was eager to place the blame on the final design team.

      What really baffles me is that we've had Iksar say recently that pre-nerf Ancharrr was an honorable mention for most OP card ever. So why would they then make a card that is arguably better?

      Edit: I just realised it has to kill a minion, so I'll retract my comment, at least a little bit. If Liv said it was already strong at 2 durability then I have no reason not to trust her that it's pretty broken.

  • lmao, Priest gets nerfed Shadowform and Mage gets a better one.

    • And... you know? It keeps scaling after the second one and it's so much better in Mage because it UPGRADES the hero power while Priest that doesn't get it just fucks his gameplan from turn 2...

    • Now I am even more upset about Shadowform's nerf....

      • I don't even understand why they would do that. But perhaps there's something down the line that will make it work that would be overpowered with 3-damage

          We got all cards revealed now;

          and Got a single shadow spell.

          nothing to do with shadowform AT ALL

          just a single decent shadow spell and no hero power synergy and no shadow spell damage or somethign unique to sahdow spells.

          which slaso onyl got a single off.

          I expected More from their shadowform/shadowpriest pushing /support theyd do

              maybe but thats alot less cards aviable then in normal expansion

              and still 1 card maybe 2w would have to be crazy good(brokne) to make sahdowform not absolutly useless. even more so afterr they nerfed it.

              Amt it feels like the shadowform beign in core set is there for token support/watse  aslot more then being somethign thyey will actulyl support. It can change but amt thats how feels/Looks like.

          i have big doubts will be anything good enough that the 3dmg shadowform would be broken.
