Well... guess I can't be objective on these cards coz ofc they are dragons. Good time to dust off my Topior one last time before he migrates to wild next year. Only smoldering feeling I have is this deck won't be any good but I do have hope for Kibler's reveal coz that definitely looks like another red dragon and most likely Rheastrasza thanks for Noxious' article: https://outof.games/news/6645-exploring-the-setting-of-showdown-in-the-badlands-hearthstones-next-expansion/
Really like these nerfs even though my favorite decks are gonna get hit hard. The Tony re-work is just priceless and exactly what I wanted considering pirating is copying from another person. The flavor is now spot on. The Yogg re-work is a nice touch coz Yogg is all about random and the massive mana cheating was the main problem with him, not his abilities. The Jailer I don't care about coz I never owned him but I would say Immune is probably the most broken mechanic in the game so it's good they limited it to just the Jailer himself. Also as mentioned previously, it's good to future-proof such an obnoxious effect.
Overall, I'd imagine quite a big hit to Secret Hunter seeing as Prison Breaker is such a good board clear in that deck and I doubt Yogg will be used in the archetype anymore. Oh well, guess I'll be going back to Pure/Silver Hand Paladin now but I'd imagine Rogue will jump up a tier coz most of it's bad match ups have been dealt with.
Really like these re-works, even if they killed these cards. It was for the best.
There's a 3rd faction? 😱 Oh wow, now I'm really keen.
But I did read somewhere that the infernal host faction was based on the Starcraft Zerg faction and that was my main faction when I played SC frequently. But still keen to see all the units per faction.
I was hoping Twist would go more into the Tavern Brawl Block style where they had very limited card sets (5 max) and all random, like suggested with the random Twist. Add in some wacky rule each month and Twist would've been my main mode. I loved the first reason of the Wonders Format and playing Jade Rogue again reminded me just how much I missed the old (more balanced) Hearthstone. Unfortunately, as many ppl have mentioned, the implementation of Twist has felt like an after thought, especially with these 3 month long seasons with very little change. Guess we can blame Caverns of Time for such small changes. Also the obvious manipulation to milk every devoted player of their money/gold.
The main issue I feel that's gonna bury Twist is the marketing and timid implementation. Why can't the next season of Twist have Un'goro AND another rule like no duplicates or neutrals for example? Adding in an extra expansion and banning 1 card shouldn't count.
Also what site even displays any Twist meta decks? Seems more of a hassle now trying to find the best decks in the meta (even HSReplay don't have decks) The meta is already solved so there's no point in theorycrafting your own decks. Also on the EU servers, my queue times are 5 min+ so it's definitely already dead there :/
Overall, 100% agree with everything mentioned in the post and just hope Blizzard do some more crazy Twist rules like with Tavern Brawl.
A bit annoyed that the next season of Twist is just an additional expansion, even though many cards were buffed. I'm hoping future Twist seasons are more exotic and they shake up the expansions. Also why does there have to be so many expansions? Why not limit the format to 5 expansions and shuffle them around (Like having GvG, WW, DoD, RoS and BRM for eg). Guess I'll just have to be patient coz Blizzard will get there at some point right?
We're still missing signature cards for Ravenous Kraken and Angry Helhound which I assumed would've been included in this Halloween event. Guess not so no idea when we getting these signatures.
Zeddy also mentioned in this video: https://youtu.be/hWyhR-QApMA?t=454 Blizz accidentally gave players some of these packs but then removed them, oops 😅
The idea sounds fun but the implementation is what will matter. How many cards can we add to the side board? When can we use cards from the side board? What would the visual UI design look like?
Ofc we don't know this info from data mining but maybe future patches will have more data/art assets. I just hope sideboarding doesn't change how we play the game. Wouldn't be fun if every game was determined by countering win conditions at the perfect time. Almost like having a permanent Zephrys the Great
Deathwing, because we don't have enough versions of Deathwing in Hearthstone!
Why yes, we do need more versions of Deathwing in HS 😁
Great article and breakdown of the different timelines that could be used in the next expansion. Definitely looking forward to more legendary dragons and (hopefully) another reprint of Deathwing coz I need more
Wonder if there's gonna be a MS presence at Blizzcon this year. Regardless, I just hope all Blizzard games improve and maybe, just maybe MS will push Blizzard to release Warcraft 4 and Starcraft 3 🤞
I need to tame my expectations for Blizzcon this year but still way too excited. I'm interested in the number of ppl attending coz damn, those ticket sale numbers don't look good. Even the scalpers are reducing their ticket prices to almost half: https://www.reddit.com/r/Asmongold/comments/17eiwvu/blizzcon_resale_prices_are_dropping/
ok now I'm way too excited for Highlander Dragon Druid 🤩 Rheastrasza will be an instant golden craft for me
I'm sure Brightwing will have something to say about that

Yea thought the same, bumped it from a 2-star to 3-star card
That flayed dragon artwork is siiiiiick! Definitely going infernal host as my main faction when the game comes out

Happy Whelp wins cutest card of the expansion 😍
"How long can this go on..."
Very long it seems

I find it funny there's an additional confirmation prompt when redeeming the pack. Why yes, I'm pretty sure I want free stuff 😅
