To be fair, the complete unnerf of Warsong Commander gave every minion charge which created the giant warrior back in the day but maybe this was during beta... oh god that means I've been playing this game for a decade already...

Haven't much enjoyed the warlock archetypes since...before UiS so I'm definitely gonna craft this card if I don't get it in packs. The value is just way too good.

Somehow I know these warrior cards would be bad. We know Team 5 make expansion sets a few months to a year in advance so I had a feeling they wouldn't be able to react fast enough to the tragedy that is warrior

Mister Mukla is actually nuts. You're guaranteed to burn one of your opponent's cards and the bigger their hand, the less bananas they get

My main concern for this core set is that is not gonna feel as "fresh" of a rotation as prior years coz all the tradable cards are staying in the core set (unless someone can correct me on this, I believe it's every tradable card from UiS staying) and lots of DMF cards are returning to Standard from a 1 year hiatus. We'll have Solar Eclipse with Dew Process combos again among other things.

What I'm getting at is it'd be nice to see more cards from BRM, JtU, WotOG etc, even if they had to be buffed to compete with current power level.

Edit: Least most tradable cards are rotating like Need for Greed and Drakefire Amulet for eg

Out of these cards only Rush the Stage seems pretty broken

Can definitely see a grindy achievements for Infinitize the Maxitude

Well... Shadowstep remains in core which everyone and their dog were asking to be removed 😓 makes me concerned...

Some other weird things going on with this core set too:

• They removed all discard synergy from warlock yet introduced a new discard archetype in MotLK
• They removed Mana Tide Totem from core yet added Totem support

And one random bit of info is that all tradable cards aren't actually rotating.

Least we might get some Dirty Rat shenanigans again. And those warrior replacements look... promising

Poor Warrior, first seeing Blackrock 'n' Roll and now these "riff" cards (which imo is a weird word to begin with). Guess team 5 was to silently delete warrior as a class and that feels bad man...

Every time I face a BSM I keep saying to myself: "Good riddance to this awful deck, I just need to wait a few more weeks!"

God, I can't wait for Rune of the Archmage to rotate, it's my only hype for this standard rotation.

Standard rotates every year and Wild where broken decks exist (sometimes) are the main two formats. That is why I said provided they don't increase the overall cost the same. If they effectively increase the price of playing by 33% with the additional set, that's a super hard pass from me.

They really do just need to stick another format in the game. Rotate the sets in it every couple of months and it'll be a breath of fresh air. I suspect they are too afraid to do it because it might end up making Standard look like a joke and we certainly can't have that happen! The best part is if they rotate content on a good enough schedule, you never need to balance anything! You could do card bans to keep the super annoying stuff out but that's fairly low effort.
