I think a good solution is to change the way ranks 50-26 work so that you are able to lose stars, but as to not discourage players you would do what they do with the silver ranks in Magic: Arena and make one win=2 stars and a lose=1 star so that you can have a perfect 50% winrate and still climb, and even if your winrate is slightly negetive you can still climb. but this would also give you more time to adapt to the game and get a stronger collection.

That sounds like a good change. How do you send it to Blizzard?

I'm more concerned about casual not being casual anymore. I mean, whenever you play, you find strong netdecks all over the place, both in casual and in ranked. Of course, ranked is tough until you have a decent collection, but it's a "competitive" format, so it's as tough as the meta is; but in casual you should be able to play just for fun without losing 80% of your games to tier-1 decks, and that's not possible currently.

Your friend did very well for somebody with a new collection, as you experienced, competition is fierce from rank 19 up, just keep playing and farming gold, try Arena from time to time, and use dust to craft some budget aggro deck; Zoo Warlock is always a good option, the last challenge of reaching Legend with a new account I saw used it. Basic Mage decks are good to start learning the game, but aggro is always the best bet to climb on a budget. You can always use HSreplay to find the best decks you can craft at the lowest cost, if you value results over creativity.

It's a good investment, it fits in many decks (mostly aggro, of course), but as suggested, find a deck you'd like to play and craft the cards you need; if Leeroy is one of them, go ahead.

IIRC it was the first legendary I crafted, to use it in Miracle Rogue.

Thanks mate :) Yeah, I agree as well on the news angle. I'm sure something will be done about it. The question is just what and how

Well, this is an important question xD

Yeah, good decks cost a ton nowadays. Murloc Shaman is probably the cheapest deck that's good for laddering.

Well, with Hearthstone and MTG being so light on hardware requirements it is a bit surprising to see such articles here, but hey, it's always good to get updated! Since I play almost exclusively HS I don't visit hardware sites anymore, so it's nice to get some information here.

I'd like to see (at least from time to time) a slim/SFF build, not specially powerful, but small, silent and elegant. It should be enough to play HS (maybe even streaming to twitch) while not hurting your wallet and keeping your desk clean and elegant. It could be a Common build or even a Rare alternative, as silent and small components are sometimes expensive.

Yeah, either remove Bronze Herald or put more dragons and Dragon Speaker.

Well, winrates look today TOTALLY different in HSreplay! What happened? Nerfs don't usually change HSreplay's stats so fast...

Maybe Mountain Giant, as the point is to take advantage of your hand being almost full.

I also think activity here is a bit low. Sometimes I enter in the morning and there are only a handful of new threads and replies to old threads than the evening before. So more active users will definitely be welcome.

Besides what others have already said, I think OOC has not yet attracted the attention of new users because it's not so easy to find in Google when searching for Hearthstone-related keywords. Time (as it's a new site) and some keyword research and SEO work will fix it, improving SEO is probably somewhere in the LOOOONG list of pending tasks of Flux and the rest of the team.

Follow up question: how do decks get chosen for the "Hot Decks" list on the main page? I just clicked through the 5 standard decks posted there, and they all have minimal guides and only a few votes each. Personally, I've viewed and commented on a bunch of other people's decks, and that's generally the place I look first.

It probably has to do with being new and having many upvotes and comments; so if you get votes when your deck is already old it's probably harder to be featured as when you just published your deck.

Regarding on building your own deck.. if u need some specific cards but do not own it, is it worth it to spend dust on creating them? Idk if those card could be use outside of the deck i'm currently brewing, but still i want to make those concept work.

It depends on how much dust you have and what other cards you want. You probably want to save your dust for cards you are going to play more than a few times!

Nice one! Probably it's difficult to make the combo before dying, but nice anyway :)

Well, if I get destroyed everytime then the concept of the deck is garbage and I delete it; but I normally start refining it after a few games, and I keep playing the deck for the full season (sometimes even 2 seasons), if it stays above 50% WR. But it depends on my mood, how boring or fun the deck is, and what other decks I want to play.

I also experimented quite a bit with Lady in White, I got her at Whichwood's launch, she's great with the high-health mechs (Framebot, Gatekeeper...), but now I'm experimenting with midrange quest instead.

I'm also experimenting with midrange Quest Priest, but I'm not yet satisfied with any of my lists. I run Power Word: Shield and Questing Explorer in addition to Northshire Cleric + Circle of Healing for card draw. And I use Extra Arms in the decks with Lightwarden, which tend to be more aggressive.

Even though I understand that the healing is wide open, 15 is still a lot. You basically have to (1) play some manner of Pyro turbo stuff to activate this or (2) just take it crazy slow.

This is a strong effect, but the deck building aspect is going to take a lot of iteration.

Definitely. But we are up to the challenge ;)

Guilty. I sometimes queue a new match while doing something else like responding to messages or grabbing a snack. It‘s a little ego but it‘s only a matter of second

This. I don't do it very often, but sometimes. Mulligan quickly, do something else, when you are back the rope is already burning. Maybe people does it more frequently in summer?
