Well, you know, I crafted Tak Nozwhisker, I thought it would make pogo decks finally viable... I played it like 3 times. Maybe my dust deserves trying a bit harder...
Last time it was Nozdormu the Timeless, at least this one is playable, but not nearly as good as I thought.
Good bye Shamanstone, hello Roguestone! How is your climb being this season?
Last season I was not able to reach my goal (rank 5) so I started 2 ranks lower this month. However, I'm climbing pretty easily with Galakrond Zoo Warlock, maybe I was lucky with the matchups (only encountered 2 rogues so far). So I expect to reach rank 5 in my next session (hopefully today).
What about you? What are your goals fo this season? Are you succeeding?
Thanks for keeping us informed! I personally don't mind ads as long as they are not invasive, and I feel they are OK as they currently are in OOC. Keep up the good work!
Quote From BystekhilcarIt's not like we had Kraken, Mammoth or Raven decks previously (although now I come to think of it... why didn't we get Kraken tribals? That'd be way more interesting than dragons...).
I agree with literally anything except this: every time I've seen this argument I got really annoyed cause it doesn't make any sense at all.
"Kraken" and "Raven" are not tribal tags, whereas "Dragon" is and, to be honest, it's one of the community's favorites too. It was legitimate for us to think about lots of minions with that tribe coming in this year, exactly for this reason.
I mean, obviously it's a tongue-in-cheek comment. The point is simply that just because a year has a name doesn't mean that's going to have any significant influence on the actual cards released. It's just an indicator of the overall theme, nothing more.
But again... Kraken, Raven and Mammoth would all produce some pretty interesting card sets. What if they were tribals? Seriously, they'd be far more interesting and unique than dragons, which are in literally everything fantasy-based.
It't not because it's the Year of the Dragon, it's because Descent of DRAGONS is an expansion with really MANY DRAGONS. So I'd also expect dragon decks to be more dominant in the meta
I have not played a lot this season, I have experimented a bit with several decks without investing a lot of time on ranked, so I have not yet reached my objective (Rank 5). But I still have time.
How is/was your climb this month? Did you give up because of shamans? Did you join the Face Hunter army? Tell us!
Not sure why everyone has such a hateboner for Warrior. I've played the matchup a bunch of times and while it's strong it doesn't really seem overpowered unless you're playing a real greedy deck with lack of defense.
If anything Parachute Brigand needs to be a 2/1 or something because it's just not fair when that thing drops twice on turn 1 and you have no realistic chance of getting rid of it.
I have been playing rush warrior + galakround I have NO idea why people are playing pirates it's clearly inferior to rush warrior, I have been winning none stop, even against shamans..
Rush warrior had 2 problems: lack of reach, and lack of card draw that doesn't loses you as much tempo, guess what galakround does? +3 attack and card draw.. Pirate warrior while strong just has so much of it's power on a legendary weapon that if they don't draw it well it's just a meh deck and even the "god draw" is not that insane..
What list of Rush Warrior are you using? It sounds interesting.
I'm definitely going to try it to protect my big Pogo-Hoppers from single-target removal. It's not even bad if you are forced to play it on an empty board!
Congrats! I like BG for a change, but I find it a bit repetitive, there are not a lot of different strategies you can try because everything is so random...
Congratulations!
I'm not playing Hearthstone a lot nowadays, so I don't think I'll try to reach Legend anytime soon, but who knows...
"The first piece of Ashes of Outland will drop Tuesday, March 17". Well, that's today! :D

Are you still playing this deck? How does it fare with current meta?
Well, I reached rank 5 yesterday, now it's time to fiddle with Dragon Paladin :)

It's very similar to the version I'm using (-1 Mecharoo -1 Dire Wolf Alpha +2 Grim Rally), it has been working very well for me (around Rank 10).
So, is anybody experimenting with Mage decks other than Highlander in standard? Or did everybody already give up?
Wha'ts the problem?

Congrats! I have not yet reached legend and I started playing in 2015. The only time I tried seriously to climb I reached rank 2 with Odd Paladin.

I almost forgot posting the thread this time!

Dragon Paladin, one with Norzdormu and another one without it and with smaller dragons.
I was thinking 3/4 or even better 4/3, but well, it's something.
What list of Rush Warrior are you using? It sounds interesting.
Good! I hope the nerfs bring balance to the ladder.

Fuck Galakrond. Devastations are really powerful by themselves, it's a 6/6 for 6 with effects worth 6-8 mana. Insane.
