Exactly what I'm thinking. I'm more than happy to spend 100 gold on an old pack if I know I'll get the commons/rare I'm missing, with a reasonable chance I get a bonus epic too.
I wonder if dust farming for future nerfs on commons and rares becomes sensible. If even just a common of a set is nerfed, you can keep opening packs 1 at a time, each pretty much guaranteed to give 2x the nerfed card and hence a minimum of 110 dust. Even better because any golden commons will likely be the nerfed card too.
On a related note: if you open enough packs to have all the commons and there are any you want golden, keep dusting them between packs 'til you open the golden versions! Can do the same with rares if/when you get all of those, though that's a much slower process.
I didn't think of that. Wow, that' s true, it's actually a great way of farming dust. Wonder if Blizzard might change the protection when it comes to nerfed cards.
My understanding is that protection is for cards given, or opened. Then it becomes random. So if you dust, you will have to wait until you have a full set, and then hope for a random drop. It's not what is in your collection, it is what cards have already been generated.

I get disconnected every few seconds, making the game virtually unplayable. Does anybody else in the EU have issues with that? Battlenet doesn't even disconnect itself and my internet doesn't seem to be the problem.
I've just completed a 9-3 arena run - seemed fine to me. Are you on a mobile device, I think they have been generally quite bad after the recent update
In an upcoming patch on March 26th, and the move of these cards to the Hall of Fame, all players with these cards will receive Arcane Dust equal to their crafting cost (up to the maximum number of each card that can be used in a deck). You may then also disenchant these Hall of Fame cards to receive their disenchant value - extra Arcane Dust!
That's a nerf for me. They are making it pointless to keep more copies than can be played. They might as well auto-dust cards.
Right now I'm at rank 11 in both wild and standard. This is usually my ceiling but occasionally I've moved into the rank 6 to 10 bracket. Lately I've been playing secret mage in wild and face hunter in standard since the decks are pretty inexpensive.
Have you got the full basic set? If not, I found playing Arena a great way to learn and build my collection up. Although they say "7 wins is infinite", I believe that 3 wins is good value. So, if you can go 3-3 in arena, spend your gold on arena instead of packs.
Don't disenchant anything, unless you really want to build a deck immediately. Not even extra cards. Wait for nerfs/upgrades and disenchant at full cost. I've been doing that with the the recent Shaman nerfs - eg: I had 6 Invocation of Frost. Small change to some, but makes the difference for me. Been playing casually for 1 year and am at rank 4 with a tier 1 deck. But, I only play 5 or 6 hours a week.
There should just be an option to turn emotes off.
And they need two more:

As a F2P'er, some games I drop my minions, empty my hand, and press end turn. I have no taunts, no cards in hand and my opponent has lethal. They take so long to kill me. I just wanted to play 1 more battlecry and complete the game to count towards today's quest. I won't get either if I concede.
Looking at my comments, via my profile, most of them have a 'in reply to' line so I can easily find them again. But my recent one does not.

I made up a side quest hunter deck and tried it out a little.
It feels like I've made a slightly confused deck. But it is reasonably fun to play.
I mean, it has 4 beasts and 12 secrets - it is more of a Secret Hunter, no? :D

Hunter is my favourite class, and Springpaw makes it into every deck! Two 1/1 beasts with rush. So good.
