You play this for the invoke but not for the freeze effect. Overall balanced.
+2 spell damage is great with a solid body, hard to evaluate the overload effect though.
Token style decks (Thunderhead) will love this card. It can fit in murloc decks as well.
The value is too good to leave out of dragon decks. It's been compared with flamestrike quite a lot already,
Strong card for Galakrond Shaman due to the invoke effect which compensates the low stats well.
Good value when invoke twice, and no overload is a big plus.

If the eggs are allowed to hatch or paired with shaman quest completion, then it becomes really scary. Feels like a win more card.
Combo activator generator, pirate tag is good have but not necessary.
Early invoke card/lackey generator, it does requires a minion on board though.
