I'm in the same boat as Horus, DK and DH's decks have mostly eluded my enjoyment. Rainbow DH is pretty fun currently, though. Maybe by the end of the expansion there'll be another one, two hundred wins tacked onto that number.
It's wild to think about how much I used to play. Hardstuck F2P Druid and Mage main for years - 2500 of each of those wins are from before 2019. The others have gradually crept up, especially Shaman, but the kings abide! A good 3/5 of these wins are from Arena and Duels, which helped even it out.
What's your favorite and least favorite 1000 win portraits? Illidan is gorgeous (gimme). Pirate Valeera, on the other hand, is just plain silly.
Nice to hear about clans. I notice there isn't any mention of in-game chat in there, though. It'd be odd to be in a clan with someone, yet be unable to chat with them. We'll see?
To play Devil's Advocate, doubling down on the RNG could be their exact strategy. Almost every other competitive card game out there is more strategic than Hearthstone. I play Hearthstone because it's fun and dumb and fits in easily on a second monitor. That's the selling point - it's easy and fun.
Also, while some of the anomalies might make certain decks more powerful (and note that all of the above problem decks are Wild decks, and remember kids, do we care about Wild?), only a couple can rarely 'randomly turn off' decks. I agree that Opportunity Knocks (only draw cards you can play) and Unimaginable Horrors (new basic hero powers) can be ruinous.
What a throwback. These fast old games still have my whole heart. Unreal Tournament, Quake, Sauerbraten, et cetera. Even games like TF2, without the speed aspect. You're spot-on about music being a neglected part of multiplayer experiences nowadays. In my limited experience, I can only think of Rocket League, which isn't quite the same since the OST varies. Dedicated music still has a place in brawl games and MMOs, at least.
Speaking of music, this soundtrack is pure 90s gold. Thank you for introducing my ears. Little echoes of Moby, SSX, all these bits connecting together as I listen. D'you have any other soundtrack suggestions? New Spotify playlist idea unlocked.
Well, Aggro Mage officially scares me. How many copies of a 1-mana damage spell does one deck need? And spell damage!?
On the more fun side, though, would anyone like to postulate how many Pyroblasts you can generate in one game now? At least seven! And that's only with these cards, teehee.
I didn't know this thread existed. Hi!

Sad to see this. Not because of Duels leaving, I haven't played that mode in ages. But why does it leaving have to affect Arena?
Leave my boy be! I don't want that overpowered stuff in the chill cardpicker mode.
Oh yeah. I love it when a sludge comes together.
Watch out, we'll mail you to Abu Dhabi.
A whole Wild West themed Paladin set and not one 'Holy Guacamole!' joke. How dare they.

Thanks so much, Noxious <3 You've probably just fueled my next month!

Not working for me either, still.
Mrgrlr mrgrlnar!
<Music to my ears!>
Yeah. Which is right on point for OSRS, haha. Never has there been a community more fueled by nostalgia.
Wait. They're really adding Sailing to OSRS? The memes have gone too far.
I can't wait.
And now we wait for Warrior's cards to be revealed. What does it mean that they left Garrosh for last? Surely that means the cards are good... right?
The mega bundle contains a diamond Zilliax? Sweet! Why?
Hey, that change to Deryl seems innocuous, but it completely changes how you play him. Interesting.
These feel different. Less tongue-in-cheek than previous years', maybe?
That said, Disco Maul, Amplified Elekk, and Dirge of Despair were grand.

The sad part is that The Fires of Zin-Ashari can play out pretty swell sometimes. Especially if your opponent has a couple draw cards left over :')
Dagnabbit, this means that card I almost submitted to the Two Tribe competition would have worked. Curses!
