393 totalI was really interested by the comment that “We do think that buffing is better than nerfing for metas.” I’m used to Hearthstone’s approach where nerfs are common but buffs are rare. (And until a year and a half ago, …
Honestly, I suspect this will be a success for Riot. From this site and Reddit, I can confidently say that the festival is unpopular with American and maybe European players who are serious enough to go to message boards. But …
I suggest renaming this article. Instead of “Riot Addresses Concerns...”, maybe “Riot Validates Concerns”.
I loved the Spirit Blossom festival, but by the time I reached the end of this article my enthusiasm had all vanished. I won’t be buying the pass this time, and I hope this doesn’t tarnish the long-term feel of …
Bayou Brunch will let him capture another ally and gain stats. Then when he levels up, those allies reappear on the board.
I’m not sure how well it will work, because you need to draw specific support cards to …
Try again. I’m not a great player, but I made it through both runs with only a single loss. (Leona vs. A-Sol. And contrary to what the article says, there is an option to continue your run after you lose.)
…Thanks. You are right - I didn’t read their announcement clearly enough.
I think this would have gone better for Blizzard if they explained it better to begin with. I’ve been assuming the plan was something like this:

We’re going to introduce different tiers of cosmetics. Common hero …
I bought it, and I knew what I was getting for my money. Personally, I’m not a fan of the standard Jaina image but I am fine with her voice lines, so it worked great for me!

*sigh* Dual-class arena and legendary quests are always welcome, but I was hoping for something bigger in this event. Last year’s meta shakeups set my expectations too high.
Agreed. Guardian Animals is fair at 7 mana. The unfair part is that Druid can consistently play a 7 mana card on turn 4.
If I were in charge, I’d make the first ticket free, charge 200 for the second ticket, and keep increasing it until the price maxed out at 1000. That way, everyone could participate until they got to the risk/reward level …
Good point. If we get a “real” big event next month, then I’ll be satisfied.
This has been such a disappointing event. We got a few shop deals that most people didn’t like, and we got a competition with a very expensive buy-in. The only freebie was the new solo content, and we didn’t get …
Since it’s a competitive Standard game, you can assume that the standard meta decks will do best here. That’s not the most exciting answer, unfortunately.
I know I’m in the minority, but I like this skin. I’m even happy that there were no new voice lines - With new audio, they probably would have made a $15 bundle instead, and then I would have passed.
IIRC, the Hearthstone team has said that this is their most popular Brawl mode, whether you measure by number of games played or total amount of time spent.
This is probably not what any of us would expect, but …
Thank you for making this series! It was great to see the variety of decks out there
Fury, Invoke, SpellShield, Daybreak, Nightfall, and Behold. That’s 6 new keywords needed for an 89-card set. Wow.
You can complete quests with Casual Games and Tavern Brawls if you prefer. There are none that require ranked play or Aren specifically.
