I'm kinda disappointed as she's the only hero I'd pay gold for.
And since they'd started offering heroes for gold I'd been biding my time waiting for this moment. But I guess they are trying different sales strategies or perhaps they know she'd be very popular.
Due to personal principles (that no one will care about except me), I can't give Blizzard any money for any reason owing to past events (I politely promised them I would never give Blizzard money ever again if they failed to provide support assistance for an easily fixed WoW issue I had) I can't buy anything even for $0.01 from them ever, but they are a company that needs to make money and I respect that. So I don't hate Blizzard as I like their games I just can't give them money after years of paying for WoW.
In fairness I always say if I did pay for cards, and I still sucked at the game, then I wouldn't be able to blame my collection for it :P
Please consider refraining from making further posts regarding this article. Though absolutely entitled to hold any and all views you wish, I fear you'll end up getting the quite valuable and well thought out discussion that's mostly taking place* shut down.
I am not site staff but I think that would be a shame because sensible and appropriate discourse actually can change views for the better and explore these issues positively without causing toxicity.
Many thanks.
*(my silly comment poking fun at hearthpwn excepted).
I too have concerns regarding positive discrimination in that it by definition seems unable to avoid being unfair to one or more groups.
I'd rather we focus on trying to avoid the need to even consider it by ensuring everyone is treated fairly ideally based on merit and suitability. Make things a level fair playing ground for all and no need to artificially interfere to try to correct unfair bias towards/against groups of people. In truth I have no idea how unfair it is or isn't at the moment - there are people better placed to judge than I.
That said, given this is a promotional event then it seems a nice thing to do for the 2 streamers to give up their spots so long as they were under no pressure to do so. Points to them.
If this was a competitive event that would be different - the best play the best and I would be adverse to calls to interfere without a compelling and valid cause.
In particular I've been pleasantly surprised regarding Luna and how supportive the general consensus has been towards her. When I saw this article go up and the nature of it I was bracing myself for negative comments aimed at her but so far have been proud of the OOC community response with few exceptions.
which is why nobody with a brain uses that pisspool of a site anymore
Well you say that, but when I get a brand new suped up ultra powerful laptop, I like to stress test it with the most demanding tasks possible. So I go to hearthpwn and see how many minutes it takes to load. :P :P
Totally agree with the invitational vs skill tournament point you made. A publicity/fun/arbitrary event Blizzard organizes can have anyone it wants, whereas a best of the best contest should simply be the best players irrespective of gender, race, religion.
....and you used the word opined which I liked. +1
Thank you for spending time in my collection, but sadly we will shortly have to part ways. We did have a little fun in a janky deck I played, but I think it might be better if I convert you to dust shortly to replace you with something better.
I hope you will accept my sincere(ish) apologies for this, but owing to changing circumstances I find myself unable to permit your continued existence in my collection.
Perhaps a good idea to give a link to international abuse helplines should anyone reading this article be in need of support. Doesn't matter what your gender, race or religion is you don't have to endure it - no one should. Reach out for help if you or someone you know needs it.
OK but what do I do with my achievement points :)
errr, maybe one day = any time now.
Yay my wish came true!!!!
The only cosmetic I'll likely ever spend gold on.
Worth it.

Alleria - looks like it was not meant to be :(
Ah she's in the in game shop now for cash only. Not for gold - shame, but maybe one day!
I'm f2p and never pay nor spend gold for cosmetics.
But in this case, if she's available for gold, I'll make an exception.
The streamers can win money,
But it seems we get no honey.
To the channel I'll go back,
I just ask for a pack.

Agreed (as usual).

ah you mean card pack not card back. I was confused there for a second :)
My processor can't handle it either.
Can't upgrade cos it's biolocked inside my skull.
2 packs for watching total of 4 hours in the next 5 weeks so doesn't have to be this weekend if not convenient for you.

All the best,

We will get packs, it's just they'll have to grant them manually as opposed to how it worked on Twitch.
That is, they'll collate the data and run a script against their database to grant the packs to us. Should be next few days.
Like everyone I miss twitch - so much better than YT.
I'd assumed systems referred to looking after the infrastructure - servers, networks, databases etc.
But then I noticed it was design teams and it made a bit more sense :)

Flux please consider adding this to the article itself, or a better link if you have one.
Same - still no packs.
I assume those granted via Youtube are not automatic and will be granted later. Wish they'd never gone to Youtube in the first place.
Tried watching for a bit but these Mage games are just silly in a competitive format (or any ranked format for that matter).
edit: others experiencing the same
