Started reading but when it became apparent I could open hoarded Classic packs had to login and start smashing space bar! OK done, reading complete.
A 2014 classic game mode is interesting, but will it have the player base to avoid queuing for 10+ mins or facing same few opponents over and over once initial interest wanes?
I saw that thread on reddit a few days ago and it must have been somewhat satisfying to a) get it checked out by someone who was happy to put in the time to check the code related to the board, b) help those that doubted your claim reevaluate :)
Tiller can still have his jerb. But the promotion he got with one of the easiest OTKs ever that causes a player to lose their turn if they even have Ice Block up was a bit much.
That transcends just a nerf and goes in to bug fix territory. (though of course even with a fix to miss next turn bug the combo needs addressing).
Just a minor reword or mechanic tweak to tiller, hysteria or immune seems sensible.
4 legendaries for the price of 20 packs in gold seems like a steal to me.
Absolutely. Also worth noting that while could get all the commons/rares of the mini-set from packs, that's also dust you are missing out on from duplicates (some golden if lucky) you'd otherwise get.
Not huge maybe but my dust total will be grateful :)
Okay, this may be proven wrong months later, but anyone getting this feeling like that 15 bucks isn't really worth it? I mean, nearly every card I want/need except for Dark Inquisitor Xanesh is a common or rare. And the only epic here is a tech card.
How many of the legendaries will prove viable competitively? Maybe only Moonfang and Keywarden Ivory. But both are hardly what I would call core cards.
I was thinking the same thing actually - I'm already getting the commons and rares with the packs I've hoarded.
So is $15 or 2000 gold worth the 2 epics, and 4 legendaries here?
I think I'll be using gold for it - after all you never know when they will be fun or meta. And it means my collection looks nicer :) Also I'll get a little more dust from the packs I do open due to duplicates I wouldn't have otherwise gotten.
All in all set feels strange but like many others have said I have no idea if or when certain cards will be good. Will get them just in case and the 2000g option is unexpected and very welcome.
I know right - and I don't want to craft epics/legendaries because I've not opened my packs yet and would just be reducing the pool of good cards I can open.
But if the leak is real and only need to wait a few days then it will be an unexpected bonanza of legendaries from packs! increase in my pity timer :P
Hope this is all true - and I can finally open the DMF packs I've been hoarding. I will be saying goodbye to 2000g if some of the legendaries and epics are playable.
Good he's engaging with the community more who will hopefully be polite no matter what the state of the game is. Messages of hate are pretty much bad in any situation.
Still, that said:
"It's complicated and will be answered soonish. It's a good change."
I was concerned that now there's going to be no hall of frame, and presumably no dust for cards that will no longer be standard valid* - but now I'm REALLY worried!!!!!
*"you gonna mention you only play wild now?" "nah ssshh that undermines my point and I want more dust"
I remember one time me and a friend were building a snowman on some public land, the sun had gone down and it was very dark. We rolled the main body around to gather more snow and make it big enough.
Only then did we realize that what we'd actually made was a nightmare consisting of snow embedded with a variety of frozen "presents" left by the dogs of local dog walkers. Lost enthusiasm for the project after that so we left it as a monument to our folly. (TO DO: <insert yule log joke>)
That was nearly 4 decades ago and people tend to clear up these days :) :)

I used to love Priest (back in the Dragon priest days) - was my favorite class.
Then they turned it in to a steal, res, generate almost infinite cards class. Or Raza/res priest in Wild (where I play).
I don't play the class anymore and I can't blame people for hating it.
Yep same as above - just wanted to wish you luck. I believe in you!
Enjoy the free wins those who I queue against :)

So glad they've communicated this quickly - already was staying away so good to know resolution on it's way next week.
Wild is great. Or was until yesterday then this tiller nonsense made it near unplayable.

"Rust in pieces, Flying Machine. You… weren't really that great anyway to be honest"
In wild it was a must remove even as recent as last expansion meta. Otherwise mech Pally would do crazy damage to you and the game would be over :)
Yay! Welcome surprise to my morning.
Went to bed 6:30am. Woke 11am. First thing to do today? WORDSEARCH - all other priorities have been rescinded.

Was the Book of Heroes Anduin Skin Accidentally Leaked?!
I don't know. But I'm going to give 2 answers then retroactively edit the post if we find out to look smart::
Yes - definitely accidentally leaked why do you even need to ask.
No - there's just no way - absolutely not.
I don't want to be a heel. and it is meant tongue in cheek, but it is the sole wish of much of the membership.
Hope I didn't put my foot in it.
Happy New Year everyone!!!!
Merry Christmas all!*
