  • yeah I'm camping out on Regis' channel. I'm not going to be actively watching cuz I'm at work but I like his friendly demeanor

  • kinda funny how Glide has not seen a lot of play, despite so many people freaking out about it when it was announced

  • hahahaha I just can't get over the artwork of Rexxar with a tommy gun, that's too funny

  • At least they're not changing the arena rewards.

I'm guessing this is to make arena seem more appealing, to get more players to think that playing arena will not only get them the arena rewards but will also get them rewards earned while earning experience during the battle pass

  • I think I see your point.

  • Yeah if they implement the proposed system you'll only get 3990 gold if you don't make it past level 100.

But they're adding more options for dust, with all the packs and cards they're offering.

  • I'm starting to warm up to the idea of this battlepass system.

when you climb legend you get some rewards that you can open at the end of the month, but there's no reason to keep climbing in legend unless you're a professional streamer or trying out for 100 gold a day.

So when I'm doing my dailies in legend rank having a little reward to look forward to sounds kinda nice.

The gold is not comparable to what we're able to get now, but the packs (18 current, 14 from the prior expansion) will offer either a chance to get cards you don't have, or the dust to get the cards in the next expansion. Say you get all the cards from the current expansion and have from the last, the minimum amount of dust you can get is like, 40 dust (1 rare, 4 commons). If you're unlucky, the least you could get from these packs would total 1280 dust, which is almost one legendary card from the next set.

The Arena tickets are hit or miss - you'll either have a really good arena run or you won't, but they've been adding arena tickets to the bundles lately anyway, and those are an additional source of dust, gold, and packs depending on how well you do.

The Legendary cards they're proposing we'll need to see if they follow the no duplicate rule or not. A lot of players will post photos of hitting legend the first time and getting a classic legendary they already have. But hey, it's at least an additional 400 dust for something later.

just my two cents, I'm not even going into the paid tier rewards they've proposed - cosmetics aren't worth anything really besides bragging rights

Edit: If Team 5 keeps offering past card backs on the shop that's gold only, this new system would make the gold more valuable, but it'll mean those card backs are more expensive than they are with the limited resources they're proposing

Edit 2: my Math was SUPER off on the dust, I'm sorry. I've recalculated it. They're proposed system will at least give us something to look forward to but it won't offer as much in terms of resources, it seems

  • I climbed the ladder initially with Guardian Druid, but once I hit Diamond I switched to Stealth Rogue and climbed all the way to Legend.

I didn't use Plague of Madness, I found that giving my opponent a weapon to clear my minions was not a great idea, especially with so many Demon Hunters I was facing off against.

A lot of lists were using Jandice Barov as well, but I didn't have her so I used Akama for some tempo on turn 3

Looking at the lists prescribed it's kinda scary seeing TWO hunter lists. I know people are rallying for Paladins and Rogues to be nerfed but I wouldn't be surprised if Hunter was nerfed somehow also

  • Penflinger and the librams is an annoying combo, those games take FOR-EVER if you're playing against them.

  • The Galakronds Awakening Adventure has cards that are worth getting.

    https://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Galakrond%27s_Awakening

The warrior cards from this adventure have seen play since it launched, especially since the weapon synergy cards with Corsair Cache and Cutting class were printed.

Mage got the Reno Jackson hero card that's used in their  highlander and "no minion" deck lists

There's quite a number of good cards in this set imo.

  • I kinda wish that the cardbacks didn't cost gold and instead cost like, $2.50 real money.

earning $500 takes a while, and that's like 5 packs from the next expansion you're missing out on

  • you're right, it's not really a nerf, but I was trying to be funny.

Guess my downvote says it was a bad joke

  • What kind of change could they make to Nozdormu, though?

He doesn't see constructed or tournament play, nerfing him seems like overkill

  • Ah, a SECOND druid nerf in the SAME WEEK!

I'm not too upset tho, while Nozdormu's helped me win some late games he's also screwed me over a game or two as well, especially when my opponent makes some interactions that last longer than the rope, that cuts in on my time.

  • According to a reddit user Serpentshrine portals are not discounted by the non minions.

    classic Blizz inconsistency

  • hmmm stocking up on the classic packs now doesn't sound like a bad idea

If I started saving packs until next year it'd be about 30 or so. that's a pretty good start on a revamped classic and basic set.

That's if we have to open new cards

  • YEAH I'VE HAD THAT HAPPEN TO ME TOO

and I played that deck all weekend and could never get my mulligan to pull that off!

In reply to This is fine
  • Will these packs be affected by the proposed rework slated to happen next year?

  • finally, I'm free from the arcane cannon!

  • I'll be honest I'm missing some epics and legendaries, I'm hoping to get some more toys to play with for meme decks
