Looks like a Kel’thuzad kind of card, really good on paper but too much work in practice. Most of the time you will just be trading a 4/4 for some minion that your opponent forgot to sandwich. And well, it really only gets value from big decks like Duel Pally and Big Warrior, and if you were facing those decks you pretty much won already, so why bother
YOGGERS POGGERS BABY. I think this might become the first card to be banned in tournaments because no matter which way you put it, Rod of Roasting is stupid. However it just looks like SO MUCH FUN, that I am willing to close my eyes for now.
Elementals are really dumb right now. They are the safest tribe to get top 4 with and also have insane highroll potential to straight up close out the games before anyone can react. The biggest culprit here is definitely Gentle Djinni being able to give free tier 6 units by like turns 7-8. Remove this part and I guarantee Elementals will be much weaker.
However, Elementals do have a distinct counter with the divine shield poison spam garbage, and pirates weirdly enough, but you kind of have to aim to do these builds from the start of the game.
The “renounce darkness” effect and the “nothing bland” line made me think of deck transforming effects already, the last line wher it did not follow its own rules (being a neutral card) sealed the deal for my guess.
Bomb Warrior all the way dude. Only really struggles against Paladins (which I barely see) but absolutely CRUSHES Mages and Priests like the rats they are
Ok, fuck Priest. Whoever made Thoughtsteal have a weighted effect can go and fuck themselves. My opponent plays 2 thoughtsteals and a psychic conjurer, all 3 times it hits the Fire Elemental (best card in the deck), and my Hex TWICE. I STILL HAVE 15 OTHER MORE USELESS AND BAD CARDS, BUT NOPE. How the fuck do I play around that? Draft an even worse deck? aAnd lets not even get started on the 10 mana win the game card called Mind Control, bcs that shit is the most stupid, most FRUSTRATING, MOST TILTING CARD IN AREN
Hey, anything that gets Mages off the meta is a win for me. Yeah, the Evocation nerfs may just kill the deck and make it “fair” rather than the batshit RNG madhouse it is right now. I swear, everytime I play Wandmaker or Cobalt I always get an Evocation. Good riddance to that and no more turn 5 Mana Giants.
