It's been said many times already, but I will miss the heck out of him from the reveal trailers. My personal favorite was the "Collection Managers" one for Ashes of Outland.

For what it's worth - the new mode is pretty dang fun. I bought the pre-order today, so I played one run so far as the Paladin hero. There's some really busted stuff/combos that can happen in a run, but I had a blast playing. I got 5 wins with my deck that you build over time. It will be interesting to see what the entry cost is for Heroic Duels. If it's a lower "cost" than arena I could be tempted to play it outside of the casual mode. I currently don't play any arena outside of events and free tickets.
Casual mode will be fun for when I get a quest or just want to do something different to goof around with.
Ah. good catch. The way I read the Tavern Pass description I assumed (most likely incorrectly) it was the same things as the Battlegrounds perks. I will edit my comment above to remove my probably incorrect conclusion.
Another question to answer later once this is all released is when it will make sense to re-roll daily or weekly quests to maximize value. We don't have a list of all quests yet, do we?
It's also nice that the tavern pass is included in the mega pre-order. The XP bonus will help a little and hopefully help with getting through the track a little faster. From my perspective, (as someone who would buy the bundle anyway) it's even better value.
EDIT: As was pointed out below - this was my assumption, which is likely not actually true. I thought it was included in the bundle, but they only called out Battlgrounds perks explicitly.
From what I saw in the reveal, it looked like a lot of the levels awarded gold at many of the level ups - in denominations of hundreds per level 200-400, for example.
I am completely underwhelmed by Carnival Clown on paper too. I guess time will tell.
A plus - if you look in the guide for the rogue list - Flik is apparently not a core card according to the author, and can be subbed.
This card looks crazy good. I like the Pure archetype already, so this is exciting.

Another risk I see is that the tokens generated from the Desert Spear are also beasts. Cool list though!
Same here - not quite that much of a time sink for me, but I have 6 left in the HS section, and I am all out of good ideas! :D
I am fairly sure he’s been in the other masters tour events this year- this is just his first top 8 finish if I recall correctly

Confirmed that they are separate :( on the Blizzard blog:
"Battlegrounds Perks will now be available as a standalone purchase, separate from the Tavern Pass."

In the reveal they said that the new 35 cards would be found in card packs for the current expansion midway through the expansion.
For some reason, Darkmoon Faire is being released 2-3 weeks earlier than the usual final expansion of the year.
