I think Demon Hunter is getting extra cards each expansion for a couple of years because it has less available cards in the pool relative to the other classes. It had 15 class cards in Outland versus 10 for the others.
I was sanguine about this issue yesterday, but a second disruptive card for a single class? You have to wonder!
Maybe they'll release a legendary neutral (that becomes a "must have" for combo/control) that gives your hand immunity from disruptive effects? Absurd, I know.
Let's hope it doesn't come to death threats(!), that would be awful - but the conversation around this card reminds me of something Asmodai said on his stream on Day 1 of Ashes of Outland in response to the over-tuned Demon Hunter release (one of the only times I have seen him play DH, and I watch bits of his stream almost daily):
(paraphrasing) "If you want to see something OP nerfed, just keep playing it and playing it and they will nerf it." That's a rough paraphrase, but the next day came the first wave of nerfs on Demon Hunter, and it dropped from like 85% playrate by about 20% if I recall correctly.
Hopefully if this card is indeed omnipresent and oppressive, Blizzard will be suitably responsive for the health of the game and the players.
Full disclosure, and an apology - I clearly underestimated how polarizing Demon Hunter has been as a class. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw this card was: a Wild match where you could shuffle your opponents completed mage quest reward into their deck - something like that. Seemed like a good outcome in that limited context.
Hi, Is anyone else having this issue? When I try to respond directly to a specific comment on an article or a forum, it seems that when I hit submit my comment just goes to the newest space on the discussion. It means that my response doesn't appear to be in the context of the other user's comment. Thanks for looking into this and confirming!
I am having a hard time picturing a world in which this card doesn’t get nerfed. It just seems like an insane amount of value for 0 mana, and if there’s a strong Paladin archetype in the post expansion meta, this card will likely be enabling it in part.
On the same note, this would be a great thing to cast off Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron or Yogg himself. Edit: my comment was meant to be in response to the comment about use in a Spiteful deck with Grand Archivist.
I judge the value of a bundle by comparing the price of the packs in the bundle with the value of packs at the highest regular size pack grouping in the store (example: I think the 60 packs in the shop are USD $69.99). Usually when they do a pre-release or a special bundle the price per pack is (USD) $1 per pack or better, and that's when I am interested. Hopefully they can maintain that sort of ratio/"value" here.
+1 for the fun write up! I’ll gladly give this a try. Zoo with Darkshire Councilman was one of my first go to decks
Anti-bomb tech!

Good point, I hadn't thought of it that way.

I can't see how this card fits into a current DH deck, but I do love the shenanigans you can impose on your opponent's hand.
That's exactly the issue I have (I am responding to Sinti), but referring to what CursedParrot is illustrating below.
Edit: and it appears I am responding to Cursed, not Sinti, as intended.
Great reveal, a lot of fun!

Thanks for the interesting write up! Lots to look forward to in the coming weeks
Thanks for the idea. My opponent conceded on T4.

I wonder if librams will get some support in Scholomance? Seems like books would be a good flavor for a school.
This is a great enhancement.
That's how I read it, too.
Looks awesome! Excited to see some more new cards!
