Dopplegangsters were so poorly done, it seemed emblematic of how Mercenaries was not a properly supported game mode. I appreciate small balance updates as that data comes out over time but it seems crazy that this common encounter ran rampant for so long.
I just had a Vanndar run half before and half after the patch. With Inspiring Presence and Scepter of Summoning, pretty easy 12 and 2 run (losses were early).
The nerf meant my drops came down one turn later, but by turn 6 or 7, I only had like 2 minions that needed cost reduction anyway.
Still seems like too good a strat and I might not play duels for a bit unless I can continue to farm wins with Vanndar picks. I love the variety of duels, but losing to such a dominant strat always feels bad
Just finished my first 12-win run in a while with a solid deathrattle druid (crystal gem, mummy magic). On my way to the top? Played against 5 hunters with totem of the dead and 2 mages with battle totem. I don't think "ultra-rare" has actually been applied yet. Imagine if after Oops All Spells went ultra rare and you saw 5 priests in a row with that passive...
