Any deck that runs lots of minions will want to include this. You get a card with good stats on the ability to bring back lots of smaller minions that died if you traded that turn.
I played almost nothing but Paladin for the first year I joined this game. Then I got into Shaman when Even Shaman was powerful, and I'm now split between those two classes. I just feel better playing them, more comfortable, or at ease. Maybe it's irrational.
Playing Mech Paladin on the ladder yesterday, make it to rank 2, and suddenly EVERY OPPONENT has silence cards. Hunters running 2 ironbeak owls? Warriors running spellbreaker?
I took Mech Paladin to rank 2 tonight. Then, every opponent was running silence. I expected it from Shamans or the occasional Priest. But I started to see Hunters running 2 ironbeak owls and Warriors even running spellbreakers. It was infuriating. So trust me, there are plenty of ways to counter this deck.
I'm enjoying Mech Pally. It's not Tier 1, but it is good, and you can climb with it. Some decks destroy you, but it's competitive enough. I always liked the idea behind handbuffs so I'm happy to get some use out of Glowstone Technician.
But I don't feel the meta has really changed that much.
Bloody Missile Launcher plus Venomizer is such OP nonsense. I am winning the whole game and this combo wrecks me and if you can't remove it, it's game over. Just stupid and infuriating.
Is this card good or bad to include? I see many pro players postings lists including it, but I am surprised. When it dies, the 1/1s are horrible for Kangor's Endless Army. But is its value otherwise good enough to justify its inclusion?
As a follow up question, I would like to know everyone's thoughts on including Scargil. I'm surprised most of the pro decklists I see online don't include this card. I am using it and find it can be great for a powerful swing turn on 5 or 6 (i.e. drop Scargill plus one or two other murlocs for a tempo swing). But I rarely see it in these lists... rather I'm seeing 2 x Hogsteed for example or other smaller minions.
This card is amazing.

One more tool for Dragon Paladin. Sadly, it still needs just a tad more support... but we are getting there...
WOW.
And this will happen presumably in July, before the next expansion?
High Inquisitor Whitemane is an amazing card. Think of the value that can generate. And its stats are decent already!

I pay for it. I can afford it and I feel I should contribute to the site as I use it so much.

Am I wrong for including it?
Thank you both!
I'm playing Murloc Shaman. Just about every deck uses Soul of the Murloc x 2.
I'm debating if this card is really that great. Against Warrior, Warpath seems to make quick work of the extra murlocs.
Against other faster decks (Hunter, Zoo), I wonder if 2 smaller minions might be better.
Just curious what others think?
Came here from Hearthpwn too... Thanks so much Flux, this will be great!
Always thought this deck would work well including Archmage Vargoth - you can get 2x the draw if you time it right. Then again, I'm not Kibler.
Legend with Murloc Shaman! Only bad matchups I find are Control Warrior and Midrange Hunter. Unleash the hounds is just brutal for this deck.
I will be very curious to see if a powerful Paladin deck can finally emerge. Crystology at 1 mana means Pally aggro could be back!
