For some reason I torture myself and continue to try and hit legend each month despite the rewards being terrible and the suffering being exquisite.
I got there this month using Evolve Shaman. For a deck that's supposed to be Tier 1, I still found the climb challenging. Although that probably says more about me than the deck!
Flamewalker is absolutely disgusting with all the cheap mage spells they have now and also the elemental that gives them a million spells for vomiting out all the spells they already had in their hand.
I took over 30 damage from two flamewalkers on turn 8 the other day. That was in addition to killing off my minions which had a combined health of 21. How is that not absolutley ridiculous?
Please, please, please release Eater of Secrets back into Standard as part of this October patch. There are no good anti-secret tech cards now. I would give anything to screw over the next Hunter with this card!
Mech Paladin is really good right now. Very few classes run silence other than Priests... and Mages (polymorph; conjurer's calling) are nowhere to be found.
Quest shaman presents a problem for future expansions though. Every time they release a new Shaman battlecry card or a neutral battlecry card, they have to consider how it can be abused in this deck. I foresee significant problems in this regard in the future.
We now have an aggro meta. I'm not sure if this is better or worse than what we had before. But losing to murlocs, zoolock or an aggro warrior on turn 5 does not feel good.
I understand why the ladder is dominated by Control Warriors, Mages, and aggro.
But what I can't understand is why over half my games in casual involve the same decks. Foolish me for trying a homebrew Paladin deck (no murlocs, no reborn). Every other game is Dr. Boom Warrior or Luna's Pocket Galaxy.
Quest Shaman is a solid Tier 2 deck but I don't see it making it to Tier 1 with the current crop of mediocre early game battlecry minions. I wonder if someone will perfect a list that incorporates overload mechanics, because Thunderhead and Vessina are amazing four drops. But they're not battlecry minions. Time will tell.
Quest Paladin can be very slow to start. I've been able to crush them with aggro decks. But yes, if they get the quest going and make copies of the deathrattles, it is very oppressive.
I'm not sold on Nomi in this deck. I have never used that card successfully. Instead, sometimes you use the Lens and end up with a 7 cost Tip The Scales due to Nomi. Do people think Nomi is worth it?
Otherwise I think this list is solid, although I prefer to include at least one Truesilver Champion.

Blizzard loves giving Shaman ridiculous evolve powers. Remember Dopplegangster and the tricks you could pull off with evolution?

MC Tech makes me want to stop playing this game. Is there any card more despised in the history of Hearthstone, any card that makes losing feel worse?
God damn Shamans can now trigger it twice after they finish the quest. And then again via Shudderwock.

Certain cards have go to go. I'm so sick of seeing them over, and over, and over again. Like some god damn recurring nightmare.

I can't believe they would do this when Conjurer's Calling exists... do they want Mage to be impossible to beat?
Won't every minion based deck play this card?
Point well taken.
I am assuming you're 90% likely to get a non-Rogue reborn card. Not sure if that's right... just my impression thus far.
Best one drop released in quite a while.
Now Rogue can use Underbelly Fence more reliably.
Glad to see Paladin is getting so many reborn cards to synergize with the quest.
The warrior cards released so far are trying to take warrior in a new direction. For that reason alone, I applaud Blizzard.
But I am very skeptical this will result in a deck better than the current Bomb or Control Warrior madness with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius.
I am eager to try though!
