I had said before I wish Blizz would do something other than thief Rogue, but these are interesting cards. They do go into Priest flavor. Still, these look fun, especially the Shadowcloaked Assailant.
Not sure we need more pay off for bounce but I do like the idea of cards that improve the more you play them. While I say I like Renferal now I'm sure I'll be frustrated by it later.
I really like the Imbue stuff for Hunter. Looks fun. Shame Stranglethorn Heart rotates. Wild will be fun though.
Bearmantle is cool but think he needs more spell support in future sets.
Crook - I just don't see the intent here. 2 turns dormant and no ability is just weird. Guess it gives you something on board without eating your Imbue Hero Power buffs in hand, still feels like anything else would be better.
Typhoon is hilarious. Can't wait for it to get cast randomly in wild!
Ohn'ahra seems like it wants to be in Nebula style deck or some sort of Big Shaman/Dungar. Not sure how you get there without messing with Ohn'ahra's ability too much. Sounds like a fun challenge to build right though.
I like Evolve stuff most of the time. Imbue seems fine. Kind of wish every class got a "start of game if X then Imbue" like druid did. Feels like that's gonna be the best way to go. Start with it online under a condition then improve it later. Unlike Druid as a Shaman you have to play these awkwardly costed minions first. Seems like it'll be tough to keep Imbuing to get to the point where the Hero Power feels effective enough. We'll see when I get to play it.
Heroes gaining divine shield is actually annoying for some decks. I think Cumulus is alright because of that.
Dreambound Raptor is neat too. Probably too weak but bonus effects can be useful.
Toreth is very interesting. He'll probably just be a Black Knight target but if you have shields or can give shields the turn you play him it's great. Frustrating for them if they don't have the knight.
I like all these neutrals, even the Rager. I will probably try and Flytrap someone day 1!
I like the "blossom" mechanic on choose one cards. It's a nice way to upgrade a card by giving it both effects without it feeling awkward to play if you need it early.
Groveshaper is just a fun effect too. Both giving minions and reload on spells.
As fun as Imbue looks, curious how fast it'll ramp up. I do love tying the nature synergy to it.
Tortolla - Love that signature. That card is gonna be a pain for sure.
Ysondre - This is my kind of card. Fun build around. How many dragons do I want for Succumb and Clutch before it doesn't guarantee this guy? I almost want to put him in a sandwich, maybe as a solo dragon. That's a lot of cards I need to craft but does look funny.
Wish they'd do something with rogue that wasn't thief but Ashmane is also too expensive.
These taunts without a tribe in warlock are interesting. I do like the Dark Gift card I've played with so far. Could be to slow to hold them for the discount though.
edit: Looking back through after the warrior stuff and these Deathrattle Dragons look even better. Dreadwing especially could be useful refill in a more aggressive Dragon deck or as a way to get a Ysondre down earlier.
I see what you mean but it's such a strong effect I see why they gave it bad stats. Demon Hunter also has more than just creep Tumor to give it rush so it's not just dead without Tumor.
I also like Lurker a lot. While it has Zerg synergies it's the card that works best outside of the Zerg faction. I wish more of the cards in this set were generically good but I understand why they made it so parasitic design wise.
Excited to see what warlock* gets, but right now if I go Zerg I think I need to Baneling people! :)
*Edit: Interesting how defensive Warlock went. Not what I expected. I do love deathrattle locations though, that's a cool design.
I think, art wise, it's the hearthstone part that's messing with you. If it was a Starcraft CCG the art would be much more in a gritty space style. However, because it's pulling one universe into another, they are making the art match what is established. So, it loses some of its epicness. That's a shame but I do love the signature Battlecruiser. I think the signatures will really shine in this mini set.
I also agree that Starships missed in potency, but I do love the flavor they add to the game/set. I'm curious if the Terran theme of wanting you to launch multiple Starships/Battlecruisers a game will make them play better, especially with the discounts to launching Terran get.
We used to do Yankee swaps because my mother was one of 12. Each of them had 4ish kids. Now those kids have had kids... ect. We've fallen out of doing it recently as we are now spread across the country, but I have fond memories of picking out fun gift ideas that I know would be hot items! We basically had two camps. The Nerds, who loved anything Star Wars and the athletes. There was a Star Wars themed basketball or volleyball that went nuts one year!
I've actually worked most holidays, retail sucks, but this year my sister had a baby. Now I am going to go eat pie and play peekaboo! Nothing sounds better.
Neat they mapped out the year. Curious if Shrouded City will bring quests again as Un'goro did. Really looking forward to the End Time. Time travel and dragons, lets go! The Infinite flight have always been a favorite villain of mine. Looking forward to that awesome dragon art.
Had a good run so far. About 25ish packs (20 from gold, others from drops, brawl and reward track).
Dirdra, Rebel Captain - super fun card. Got it pre-brawl, only improved as I got more cards.
Farseer Nobundo - Haven't used this card much yet, looks neat. Gotta build out my collection a bit.
Archimonde - This is what I've spent most of my time on. Even without Kil'jaeden it's been a blast. With discover I've been able to play 2-3 copies of him a game. Focusing on taunt demons were I can made it really fun.
Rewards Track freebies:
The Gravitational Displacer - just as fun as I thought. Got like no neutral starships just running on pure steal and it's great.
The Exodar - Haven't gotten to use it yet. In my Rogue deck just didn't get a chance to send it. Gotta not be so greedy!
Edit: Launched Exodar, so worth it. Go for all the greed!
Edit2: Got Gorm the Worldeater a bit a go. Been fun trying to get him to work. Can get him out quite quick!
Imbue stuff looks fun. Slower than others with the shuffle but some nice draw to help it out.
Ursol looks amazing Love the pay off for some big spells in wild. 3 turns of Kangor's Endless Army or Divine Toll let's go!

Dreadseeds - wish the googly eyes were part of the cards! They look fine, definitely slower than the Wild Seeds but still alright.
Deathrattle DH is back! Can't wait. Love this archetype and Omen looks fun. Plus that signature wow.
Alara'shi - Appreciate the fun card and reference to a good WoW quest. Reminds me of Arch-Villain Rafaam. Could be fun in the right deck.

That's what happens when you hire Brann for your website.

Duckling is adorable.

Warrior looks fun.
Corrupt is back... kind of. Loved the mechanic, whish it returned in full for Y'sharraj.
Goldrinn is a big boy! Love him. He'll be fun in wild. Will be interesting to see if the Imbue hero power can make him work in standard.
Also, I see you Inspire! Sometimes I wish they'd just use the old keywords but I get why not. Just makes the card look clunky.
Love that Signature Xavius!

Human names are usually the most boring. Jim Raynor, Sarah Kerrigan from Starcraft. Not everyone can be Hakkar, the Soulflayer or Patches the Pirate sometimes you are just Bob the Bartender.

Love this set already.
Starships are fun, not great but fun. Love the Terran just wanting multiple launches a game.
Protoss discounting big dudes is very on theme. Druid will make good use of the cards, curious how it will play out in the other classes.

Can't wait until I can nuke my opponent as Terran!
