The last few expansions card generation has gotten more and more important. Curving out on the other hand, while still important, is not as important as it used to be. This is mostly because swings are getting bigger. Cards like Scavenging Shivarra are capable of destroying huge boards while tempoing out a minion at the same time.
I haven't had the change to play priest yet this expansion - I average about half a run a day - but what I've seen from my opponents, nothing much has changed. They all have Thoughtsteal, Mind Control, Apotheosis, Renew and plenty of board clears. Card generation, heal, and board control. A specific new card that took me by surprise multiple times is Initiation. Before the expansion was out I thought of it as a card similar to Holy Water, but it's more like the product of Scavenging Shivarra and Mind Control. Fits right into their arsenal.
Your main goal with priest is usually to outlast your opponent. Don't spam the board too hard, but always try to have a minion to stick into your next turn. This way you're constantly threatening Apotheosis and Power Word: Feast. In the late game Mind Control is your best friend.
Unlucky runs with priest will always exist. That doesn't necessarily mean that your deck was bad or that you played badly. Many priests cards are really situational. When an opponent slips through all the cracks there isn't much that you can do about it.

Haven't had this much fun with a standard deck since probably the introduction of standard. Only lost to an Aggro Rogue, so yeah this is crazy strong. Didn't encounter a Mozari Mage, but that match-up sounds very 50/50 to me, since both decks are capable of OTK'ing. So that means it all depends who draws its combo pieces first.
This effect already exists. It's called poisonous.
No.
A 3/12 rush with poisonous dies against Deathwing and leaves a 6/6 body when attacks Tirion Fordring.
Its a sweet effect better than poisonous.
And this would leave a 6/3 body when it attacks Tirion Fordring. So yes, there is a small difference, but only if the minion you're attacking has divine shield.
Edit: My bad. I didn't notice this also set its attack to 3. That makes this card a lot stronger.

Reminds me of Hemet, Jungle Hunter. It's not strictly better as for instance in King Togwaggle decks you want your deck to be empty as quickly as possible, but most of the time Lorekeeper Polkelt is the superior card.
It feels great to hold off the pressure with some small annoying taunts until you can heal up a bunch with a magnetized Zilliax onto a Target Dummy (both buffed obviously) and then finish off your opponent with the quest reward.

I like to think I perfected your deck. Took out 2x Consume Magic and 2x Lightwarden and added 2x Glacial Shard and 2x Imprisoned Antaen. Granted, [Hearthstone Card (Comsume Magic) Not Found] is a great tech against Mech Paladins, but I encountered almost nothing but Demon Hunter. It was a real massacre from Rank 3 to Legend with all slightly different variations of Odd Demon Hunter trying to out tech each other.

This card shouldn't be a mech. It's just a gigantic metal crossbow that can't operate on its own. In the card art you can even see a person standing behind it. Either convert Ship's Cannon to a mech as well or remove the tag from this card.
Kiri, Chosen of Elune! Is the epic for level 5 also guaranteed to be from the Darkmoon Faire? I did not dare to open it yet.
The 9-mana corrupt card obviously.
What if Chillwind Yeti does like the taste of vanilla?
I was so sure this was going to be a meta staple.
Then I suppose this is what you're looking for:

The occasional tempo priest still exists, but I think you should only draft towards that if you were lucky enough to draft cards like Power Word: Feast, Frazzled Freshman and Dragonmaw Overseer early on.

Just drop a Questing Adventurer and go to town.
Might see play in Totem Shaman alongside Totemic Might and Totemic Surge.
The Glass Knight is crying in a corner.
Good luck, have fun with it!
Maybe I can recommend you some substitutions. What cards do you miss?
Thanks for highlighting my deck!
I'm also having a lot of fun with this Taunt Warrior deck. I believe I copied it from a previous Wild decks spotlight here on Out of Cards.

First time legend! About time...
Definitely in Wild Quest Mage! Already jammed it in a deck!
Funny how excited such an innocent little card can get you.
