I just remember he once made a thread about how Temporus could possibly be used to counter Ice Block and then got extremely aggressive when pretty much everyone told him that the idea was completely ridiculous because giving Mage two free turns is basically suicide in 9/10 cases (which it is, obviously).
It got so bad that he basically discredited anyone who didn't agree with his very ill conceived points a troll...despite being pretty much objectively wrong.
Oh my.
After reading your post, I decided to search his thread history and find the one you are referring to. I browsed through the first five pages and stumbled upon another interesting thread about Southsea Captain and the things you said above checked out. :/
Now, I don't want to start a "name and shame" trend, because it's not the purpose of this thread (+ it's kinda against the rules), but I am just going to say, that I had met much much worse trolls back in hpwn. Like I remember a dude, who wrote walls of scatty text and sometimes they even compared hs to political scenes or to a certain psychological behaviour.
oh you mean Hooghout? (dw, he is basically a public figure at this point, no shaming here). That guy was great, I have never seen someone who manages to continuously write huge walls of text that all say basicaly the same thing...which was mostly nothing at all.
Really, that user is the troll? I either forgot what kind of answers he used to give or I just had a better opinion of him.

but the fact that they made their most notorious troll a mod was reason enough for me to never post there again.
Who's the person you are referring to? I'm really curious.
Let's just say there's a certain desert insect over there who's very good at taking a certain stance and refusing to acknowledge any opposition, no matter how valid it may be, very frequently. And that person is now a moderator, seems like a match made in heaven :)
oh god they made skorpi-boy a mod? Well that certainly can't be helping things.
I don't have anything against the guy personally, but if he has set an opinion on something he wouldn't change it even if the heavens parted and god himself came down to tell him to cut it out.
I'll do you one better: Firebat looks like he's straight from the cover of the debut album of an 80s rockband whose only successful hit was a sappy love ballad.
I mean, their biggest counter just got demolished so naturally they're going to perform a bit better.
Honestly, this whole DH domination thing is probably going to continue and they'll keep making small changes here and there to get the class into the spot it belongs in. This was clear from the start and they been pretty blunt about it.
I mean...if you have a history of trollposting over there they're not gonna be lenient with you forever.
However, you probably won't have this problem here, as long as you don't post dumb shit excessively. Also the mods are rather talkative and will usually give warnings when they think you're showing concerning behaviour.
Basically, as long as you check yourself when you get called out for something you should be fine.
to practice them before actually going for the climb? to have an easier time completing quests? To test different builds?
I basically never played Ranked much until they revealed the 1000 win portraits. Before that I just played every deck I liked in Casual, be it meta or meme, because I didn't see the point to enter the competitive ladder when I wasn't really playing seriously anyways.
Basically, some people just don't really think about that because they see ladder as just a way to farm monthly rewards and nothing more.
Another interesting thing about Maiev, she doesn't work well with Charge. One time I played Leeroy Jenkins, punched my opponent for 6 damage, then put him asleep to guarantee another attack. But lo and behold two turns later Leeroy awoke and couldn't attack. I am not sure if it is suppose to work like this, but it shouldn't.
probably spaghetti code. Charge minions are basically hardwired to bypass summoning sickness when they are played or summon. I assume Dormant works differently, as it doesn't actually summon a minion, but rather puts an existing target in timeout. At the same time Dormant is hardwired to always give an awakening minion summoning sickness...and for some reason they didn'T code Charge to bypass that interaction.
Spell Druid has to be the most hit or miss deck I've ever played.
Either you draw your cards in time and set up a board that no deck could possibly remove at that point and win the next turn...or you just draw blanks and sit there doing nothing for 7 turns while your opponents beats your face in.
I'm seriously worried that the deck could completely take over with future support.

Sometimes I miss the shitshow over there.
I actually tried to build a deck entirely aorund Altruis....but I never drew him so I just beat my opponent to death anyways.
Demon Hunter is a silly class

you know you can just copy the code of your built decks, enter the brawl and have the game fill in the deck for you?
Bilgewater time
Hm, a brawl where I can build my own deck to make the most use out of free spells?
IT'S DEMON HUNTER TIME

goddamn hippies
not a bad deal, probably good for new or returning players.
Pretty pointless for anyone else though since we should have most of the cards we want thanks to the dupe protection rule.
At least they didn't hide a skin behind this one.
god, the commentary is painful. It's like they're struggling to find things to say so they just overexplain what cards do just to fill time.
I'll do you one better: Firebat looks like he's straight from the cover of the debut album of an 80s rockband whose only successful hit was a sappy love ballad.
yes
that specific
and Solary looks like he was generated by CGI

oh yeah, now it works for me too. Must have been a visual bug or something
uhm...anybody else not able to disenchant their Albatross for full?
Looks like they missed a spot
