A yes, the old "just put in all the tech cards, lol"
What's the point of playing the game if all you're doing is gimp your entire deck to defeat one archetype that the devs can't be bothered to fix? What's the point of designing a game around unit combat when the best way to play is use units that avoid it entirely?
Also, good luck using all your removal to try and kill a single elusive unit while your opponent just tosses out [Hearthstone Card (Twin Discipline) Not Found], [Hearthstone Card (Deny) Not Found] and [Hearthstone Card (Elixir of Iron) Not Found] to just negate all of it. Once you're out of removal you'll never be able to kill a single elusive unit while they keep playing more and more.
Also nice meme, because handbuffed Lifeblade really makes it easy to rush them, doesn't it? Especially when they can block freely but you can't.
Is your advice for Ezreal decks going to be "just don'T take damage lol"?
Ya know. I recently spent some time on "the other site" because of isolation boredom, and posts like this can get such crazy toxic hate. forgot how bad it can be over there. Out of cards seems like such a nicer community.
Hearthpwn isn't a website, it's a containment facility.
Daily Reminder that you should never DE any extra cards because there's really no telling what becomes a problem in the future....and no, I didn't have a golden Albatross that one time and thought it would be ridiculous for that card to ever be nerfed, whatever gave you that idea?
Kael'thas was obvious. That card was always going to be a problem. I assume they knew that but since he's a free legendary they gaves us at least a bit of time to meme with it before they nerfed it. I hope Spell Druid sticks around at least...it's probably the most interesting thing the class has done for like...a year.
Felwing is another one of those cards where I'm still puzzled as to why they thought it would be a good idea to release. Did they just not remember Heal Zoolock and how it took over the meta for quite a while?
Leave my favorite class alone. Yes he goes face, yes he doesn't give a shit about your taunts. That's what that class is all about.
and he also heals better than Warlock with more burst than Hunter and better card draw then Rogue. If it wasn't for the fact that he can't kill big minions early on he'd have no weaknesses whatsoever
But he has the greatest weakness of all the classes, lack of card generation! ;)
...just so we are clear, that was sarcasm.
the fact that card generation is listed as their weakness proves that the devs think RNG is an actual asset to a class.
I realy enjoy the outcast mechanic. It‘s a shame that it feels so dirty winning with DH..
Outcast is actually one of the coolest mechanics in the game. It rewards you so much for playing smart and planning ahead. It's just a shame that the overall card quality is so high that it barely even matters if you play correctly or not. Half of my games I ended up with multiple lethal outs regardless of what the opponent did. However, there's still some obvious weaknesses in the class that could probably balance them out if it was more...enforced.
Funnily enough King Mukla is actually a decent card in tempo demon hunter.
How many of those games that you played were mirror matches, though?
surprisingly not a lot. I remember a combo DH that I barely beat by one turn, two unrefined Tempo ones that didn't really seem to know what they were doing (poor mana usage and such) and two more that actually beat me by having a stronger curve.
DH is a lot less common than you'd think. I ran into a lot more Druids (all of which I beat, because Kayn doesn't give a fuck whether you have a full board of 6/6 taunts). Maybe my MMR was that low that I kept getting matched up against weaker players? Or maybe my MMR was high enough that I kept being matched agaisnt low Legend players who are just memeing around. Overall the new ranking system seems less....competitive? Since you're not playing against people of the same rank there's no telling if your opponent isn't just fooling around on ranked floors, which in turn makes climbing a bit easier.
At this moment I have no certain desire to climb the ladder but if I do, I will probably head down the same path as OP. I have to craft both the DH legendaries though.
At least I can tell you that they're absolutely a safe investment. Metamorphosis probably won't be nerfed and will remain essential as a finisher. Kayn is also necessary and will probably be used even if he ends up being nerfed.

on paper yes, but you have to realise that you're never going to attack with undying, because it will keep being killed whenever it respawns (until Snapvine leaves the field)
...for I have sinned. I have given into the temptation and dealt with Demon (Hunters). I could not resist the siren song of Legend and the promise of a free Classic Legendary, so I did the unspeakable and steamrolled from Diamond 5 to Legend with only 20 wins.
Appropriately I was rewarded with King Mukla like the disgusting Ape I am. BUt alas, I am free from the pressure of ever having to reach Legend again and can now focus on what is truly important in life....pretending like I actually know how to build decks and then claim I found a new way to game the meta.
So anyways, how's your climb going? I got really lucky I guess, because I only ran into a single Galakrond Warlock and only two Priests (one of which I even beat....barely). Tempo DH is pretty disgusting and I honestly can't see the staying this way forever. At some point Battlefiend will have to be nerfed, it's ridiculous how hard that thing takes games from turn 1. It's like Pirate Warrior all over again.
Now this might just be an ego thing, but I believe very strongly that Plot twist Warlock is no longer a pure meme. So far the best version of the deck has a 52% winrate (which isn't amazing, but better than Libram Paladin at least) and that build doesn't even look that optimized.
I've taken my own list to diamond 10 and I believe that if DH gets nerfed again (because that's a terrible matchup and you cann't efficiently run Sac Pact) it could shine. I've managed to beat basically all the Galakrond Warlock I've run into purely on the basis of having enough removal and a stronger endgame and I've also dealt with a lot of aggressive decks well (except DH, but we know that class is ridiculous)
Basically what I'm saying is that if DH gets another set of nerfs that makes it less easy for them to close out game then you have a deck that beats them as well as the deck meant to counter them (galakrond Warlock) so all you need is to dodge Priests and you're fine.
I just checked back on that deck and jesus christ the winrate skyrocketed since the last time I looked at it. I honestly think this might be the best Shaman deck out there and it's not even refined yet.
I actually think that Paladin suffers from players being too greedy.
Too many people go "Tempo? let's go Pure" or "let's just go full greedy control because Pyromancer is Op, lol"
The article mentions that Paladin doesn't have a good class 1-drop....so let's just go for Argent Squire and Murmy. those are almost guaranteed to stick turn 1 so you can use Libram or Hand on them.
To add to that approach, what if we go for a really funky win condition that technically only takes up two card slots: Stonetusk Boar and Blessed Champion.
After you play LIadrin you should have a number of Librams or Hands which you can stack on your Boar for free, double the attack and then smash it face. Realistically that would probably give you somewhere around 14-18 damage (assuming you can empty your hand enough before playing Liadrin). Since that doesn't qualify for an OTk you just need to play somewhat aggressively while using Weapons and Healing (and Libram of Justice) to maintain the board. We don't go true tempo, but we also don't realy go control. We go midrange, trying to chip at the opponent's face and punish them when they overcommit.
Finally, you don't actually need Boar necessarily, you can just try to stick any minion on the board and if it survives, use Champion as a surprise finisher....kinda like Combo Priest used to work.
I'm not really a Paladin player, but it seems that the Libram decks just don't put enough pressure on their opponents because they are too focused on trying to outvalue them, which doesn't work if you only have 2 board wipes.
same. Warrior hasn't exactly been weak for a while and they lost a ton of stuff while still having a number of strong buildarounds for later expansions (Bloodsworn Mercenary is still busted).
As long as Brawl is still as much of an instant win against tempo and midrange decks Control Warrior will always return as long as you give them something to do lategame.
I mean Galakrond Warrior would be fine if only Warrior had better card draw. Give them one or two more consistent draw cards and that deck will return instantly to smash your face in. Leeroy was only mildly better than Kor'kron Elite anyways.
that is assuming that Demon Hunter (who also happens to be a better Rogue in almost all aspects aside from single target removal) won't get nerfed again.
Priestess, Battlefiend, Altruis, and Kayn are still ridiculously undercosted/overstatted and the main reason why DHs can run away with wins.
I actually got dumpstered as Tempo DH against a Hunter who managed to fight for the board early with Rush minions and eventually push me off it. Granted I draw poorly, but I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that Hunter might be able to contest with DH after another round of nerfs to their consistency. Demon Hunters don't heal that much anymore, so Hunter's constant pressure actually becomes a problem for them, and they rely very much on maintaining the board, which a horde of Rush minions can make difficult.
Really, I think just the fact that Altruis is such a reliable comeback tool that also pushes face damage is the main reason why DH keeps taking wins that they shouldn't reasonably get. Make that thing target minions only and watch their winrates plummet.
Honestly I think the deck has promise. At first I didn't believe it but it really says something that an archetypes that got like 1 support card per expansion can suddenly snowball ahead if you manage to stick any valuable totem in the early game (and holy balls, Spell Damage puts in work)
I think most people are just put off by how unreliable it seems (when it really isn't). Serpentshrine Portal also seems like such a strong tempo and finisher.
Then again if it catches on, people will just prioritize murdering your totems and your entire buildaround is ineffectual. Can't see the deck really beat Demon Hunter if they actually just clear all totems early. (unless of course you meme them to death with Totemic Might.
Either way it's probably not a good fit against Warlocks who can just murder your board over and over again (I wonder if Plague of Flames will get nerfed eventually)
A yes, the old "just put in all the tech cards, lol"

Well...rip Mecha'thun cheese in adventures I guess.
Meanwhile Priest
Pretty sure they axed Acolyte specifically to allow for more class based draw, because you can design those more efficiently.
