Dev Update Video Teases New Battlegrounds Season and 2v2 Tavern Brawl, Event Cards Now Easier to Acquire

A huge patch for changes just went out, containing a huge number of Constructed and Battlegrounds changes.

That's not all we have to look forward to, because the Hearthstone team also gave us a Dev Update video.

While the bulk of the video is largely discussing the balance changes that was implemented in the patch, they also spent a bit of time talking about new things we can expect to see in the coming weeks:

• New Battlegrounds season starts in a few weeks, where things are getting "warped".

• The 2v2 Tavern Brawl announced at BlizzCon will be arriving in the same patch as the new Battlegrounds season. The first week will consist of pre-constructed decks, and the second week will open up deckbuilding.

• Journal bookmarks, menus, and UI will be adjusted for easier navigation and legibility.

• The Journal and Black Market features will have new content, but nothing was teased.

• Missed event cards will become easier to acquire. Arrival of the Old Gods, Arrival of the Titans, and Dark Terraforming can now be acquired by simply owning an Escape from Violet Hold pack.

• 5 new cards will be earnable in the next major patch, all of them being tied to the Old Gods in new classes.
