Let The Games Begin! Rings of Immortality Story
The story of Rings of Immortality takes place during the 21st Pantheon games, an event inspired by the real-life Olympic games, except flashier and deadlier! You have giant Constructs playing mesoamerican ballgame, Angels going toe to toe in a fiery form of football, and Minotaurs dribbling on the basketball field. The pressure is on, and it can be easy for anyone to fail under it.
The Path to Great Power - New Powers and Paths in Rings of Immortality
Rings of Immortality brings with it a new Power and a new Path:
Forge Your Own Destiny - A New Keyword
Rings of Immortality comes with a brand new keyword: Forge. To forge a card, you must Burn it, which results in all the copies, wherever they may be, to gain the Forge effect. Every color has access to Forge cards, some more than orhers.
There are also cards that offer support for the Forge keywords, usually synergizing well with cards that have already been forged.
This is a Good Omen - A Powerful New Card Type
Another very interesting aspect of the expansion are the Omens. Those are very powerful cards that have a conditional effect that adds a very powerful item to your hand.
The Items they give you are the titular Rings of Immortality, and they each have an effect that's above the power curve of the game.
But this is not the end of it. If you bring the Infinity Stones Rings of Immortality to a very special place, you can unleash the Champion of the Contest, who will devastate all enemies in your wake, all but guaranteeing victory.
Victorious Podium is the only collectible colorless card in the entire game as of the writing of this article. If you're worried about opening it from a pack while not having any of the other Omens, don't be. This card cannot be obtained from packs, and must be crafted in the collection manager.

Patch Notes 0.19.1
Quote From Rhino Games Features & Bug Fixes
- Deck editor, collection, and pack opening views now have a hamburger button instead of a back button. This allows additional functionality in those scenes (such as accessing the store or checking missions) but has the downside of requiring an extra button press to exit
- Fixed a bug with mission banner duplication in the missions panel
- Fixed a bug with tournament sign in when client clock deviates from server
- 2v2 and ranked games are now never private
- Corrected Call From the Grave targeting Spirit minions (Awaken abilities don’t belong on Spells or Items as they never ‘enter play’ in the same sense as Minions, Enchantments, and Artifacts)
- Fixed several rendering issues on WebGL
- Various other bug fixes
Known Issues
- A “made with Unity” splash appears on game start on some platforms
- iOS users will not be patched to the new version at this time due to events entirely outside of our control. We’ll try to get a version to players on iOS as soon as possible.
- Xiomara’s background has sorting issues and elements that will float over some menus.
- Guilds are NYI
Comments
The 'Victorious Podium' mechanic is really neat. I like the idea of shifting a certain type of card one up in your deck. Still random, not quite a tutor, but a hardy probability shift card.
Not to brag or anything, but I opened 74 packs and I'm 12 Mythics (half of them) shy of 100%-ing the set.
Edit l: Granted, I dust prestige duplicates.
Nice!
