That's a weird card for mage, but I dig it. It's nice to see them moving away from spell-heavy decks.
Anything. Anything that pushes that degraded archetype out of standard at least is a major plus in my books.
I'm all in favor of giving mage all the most OP mechs in the world, just as long as they promise never to print another Cram Session, Incanter's Flow, or Refreshing Spring Water ever again.
Because Sorcerer's Gambit is still in standard. And I bet someone high up in team5 is just waiting for the opportunity to make me consider taking a hiatus off the game.
I'm completely with you, but I guess it's not surprising that the class defined thematically by casting spells (very few of which involve friendly characters at all) had that design though. If anything it's strange the class is the default in a game designed primarily around minions.
Mech Mage is nice, but isn't this just a tad slow? Big Spell Mage already has issues getting through the early game, adding yet another lategame swing card doesn't sound that useful.
Maybe there's some crazy mech mana cheating afoot, but on its own I don't think I'd run this in my deck. Unless you already have a healthy amount of mechs on the board when you drop this (and youu can't have more than 4) it's just an awkward Consecration.
This bad boy can fit so many big units in your deck.
Didn't think I'd see the day Rothos, the Traveler makes it to Hearthstone.
I used to watch Duel Masters anime on TV as a kid. But everytime they use their cheap-ass "3D" animations when summoning monsters I always felt like throwing up because of how ugly I thought they were (and are). This does bring me back too, but not entirely in a good way. Almost triggered my gag reflex looking at the card.
Man, you just brought me back by so many years.
Called it! Mech Mage, on the menu :D
Mech Mage, Murloc Warlock: it's GvG all over again!
They might actually bring gvg cards back into core set...
Quite likely at this point.
