New season of Master Duel is live, and it brings with it some changes. Namely, two missions that were a bit of a pain to complete have been replaced by more manageable ones. Those changes were made based on the achievement rate of each mission and player feedback, so they were pretty bad. The missions removed are:

  • Inflict damage on your opponent (8000 points)
  • Declare an attack on a Monster (2 times)

It's pretty telling when "Hit your opponent in the face" and "Engage in the combat system of the game" are hard requirements. Those missions are replaced with the following:

  • Fusion/Pendulum/Link Summon a Monster (3 times)
  • Ritual/Synchro/Xyz Summon a Monster (3 times)

Having Pendulums and Links in the same mission makes sense, as the former is pretty dependent of the latter to function at full power. Then again, maybe it was better to have them separate to be able to complete two missions at once. The rest of the parings are disputable, but you better have decks that can complete them ready regardless.
