6 MARVEL SNAP decks for the Lamentis-1 Featured Location

MARVEL SNAP's newest featured location, Lamentis-1, has inspired an assortment of strategies so far, and there's still plenty of time to take advantage of its increased appearance. With that in mind, we've gathered a list of decks from the SNAP community that can turn the downside of Lamentis-1 into a positive, for players at every level of Collection: from the very beginners to those near the end of Series 3 and beyond.

As a Featured location, Lamentis-1 will have a 40% chance to appear for 48 hours, from 7 PM PT Tuesday night to 7 PM PT Thursday night (2 AM UTC Wednesday to 2 AM UTC Friday) - that gives us just enough time to try out these decks that want to see it more often.

Series 1

With fewer resources available to us, our pick for the Budget list at Lamentis-1 is a deck that creates more resources with Sentinel, White Queen, and Moon Girl. We can use those extra cards to feed Devil Dinosaur, or play them and go for an Odin finisher. And, because America Chavez can't be drawn until turn 6, we have a better chance of Lamentis-1 drawing our more important tools.

Series 2

This deck made with Series 2 cards gets a little more controlling, using Scorpion to depress the power of your opponent's hand (which might be all they have left) and the Storm/Jessica Jones combo to completely lock out one of the locations. If your opponent plays something big, you can kill it with a Shang-Chi and counter with your own Devil Dinosaur.

We hear you. "Discard?!" We get it - you're already down a bunch of cards, why make it more difficult for yourself? That's the beauty of this deck - the most important thing in a good Discard deck is finding Apocalypse and/or Swarm to target with your discard effects. Thanks to Lamentis-1 (and the standard America Chavez cheese), we have a better chance of drawing those cards early, which means we can discard them early. Besides, who is going to expect to play against Discard right now?

Series 3

SNAP streamer TLSG devised a deck for Lamentis-1 that stretches its opponent's limited resources even further. Debrii and Green Goblin fill their locations with useless junk, while Doctor Octopus can exhaust what few cards they have remaining in their hand by siphoning them into a single location. Lastly, Black Widow can completely shut out their draw if Lamentis-1 is the third location revealed, leaving them with no option except Retreat.

Meanwhile, Maximus is just upside in a world where they have no deck to draw from.

Streamer eggsforsale brewed up this Lamentis list that can go wide with Doctor Doom and White Tiger or go tall with Wolfsbane and Thor, depending on how you use your Wong. Leech is included to steal away the abilities of what's left of your opponent's deck, and can be played earlier thanks to Psylocke.

Series 4

If you're a little further in your travels, streamer SafetyBlade recommends this deck that shoves Series 4 card She-Hulk into a shell with Death - who does get her Cost reduced by Lamentis - so you can play a lot of big bodies for not a lot of Energy. If you suspect your opponent is doing the same thing, you can weave in a Leader on the final turn to use their plays against them.
